Great location and close to anything you may need at Lake Oconee. There is a marina and boat ramp very close to the house. Easy to launch and take out boat and get gas.

We really enjoyed the property! It was very clean and comfortable. The host obviously goes to great lengths to provide amenities...nothing was missing! The host recommended lots of good local activities, shops and restaurants.We highly recommend this property as a quiet easy-to-get-to getaway.

We spent 6 nights here with two kids. Great spot for a lake view and access with boat. House is well appointed and beds comfy!

Great for families and not far from eating options and grocery stores! We stayed with our 3 children for a family’s wedding in Greensboro and the kids loved the house and being on the lake! Gets very dark at night so don’t forget the flashlights! Owner was very friendly and easy to communicate with. Definitely planning to come back again!

Family Vacation

My extended family and I rented a couple of properties on lake oconee for our yearly vacation. We had a great time at the lake and enjoyed our stay at this house! It was clean and had everything we needed. The location on the lake was calm and peaceful.

Weekend get away

We had a great time at this property. Outdoor was a huge highlight that included great space, lots of green, and easy water access. The interior was cozy but it was the outdoor space that made this property delightful. Everything was easy and the property owner was great in all pre-stay correspondence!

Beautiful lake home

Traveled with my husband and daughters (8 and 12) and we all really enjoyed our stay. It was easy to rent jet skis/boats at the nearby watersports spots (about 15 min boat ride away from house, 8 minutes by car) and we used the canoe at the house lots. House had everything we needed including tubes to relax and play in the lake off the dock. Beautiful outdoor setting and views from the house and dock. Close to grocery stores and restaurants. Loved ourstay and the host was wonderful!

The house is in a great location! 6ft of water right off the dock is great for swimming. It has more of a cabin feel than a house.The price point is reflected in the condition of the house, it could use a bit of updating. Mostly the house was clean, but due to the outdated nature of the house it didn't have a clean smell. There is not a paved path to the lake which is a bit unusual for Lake Oconee properties. The driveway is all gravel. While the house has lots of windows looking out to the lake, the view would be much improved if a few trees were removed. Host was quick to respond with any concerns. None of the outdoor outlets worked so it made it difficult for us to blow up our pull behind boat tube with an electric pump. Consider bringing camping chairs as there was very little usable seating on the dock.

Thank you for staying with us and for the feedback. We do try and keep our older house clean and inviting. And, with the many new luxury (read: expensive) homes around Lake Oconee, we strive to be a financially accessible option for welcoming guests who are looking for a more affordable getaway, while still having access to a prime lakefront location. We try to price according to what we offer, including pictures of the gravel driveway and backyard, so thank you for commenting on accurate reflection of the price point. I offer apologies for any the inconveniences you may have experienced. We are addressing the broken outlet, but for reference, two outdoor outlets on the deck by the screened in porch are functional. Thanks for letting us know.

Rustic, shady, relaxing retreat.

The backyard is full of shade from many magnificent hardwoods. The lake, dock and canoes made us feel as if at a camp retreat. We enjoyed it all. The house was clean and comfortable but felt like we were in a rustic cabin. Our family and friends rented larger and newer homes nearby but after hours hanging out at their homes and yards and pool, we loved returning to our rustic, quiet oasis.

Overnight Stay

House was clean and as advertised. Owner knew we were arriving late and turned interior and exterior lights on for us. Which was much appreciated as the area is very dark. Can’t say much more about the house as we arrived late and left early each day. House was used primarily for sleeping.

Absolutely wonderful!!!!

This home is adorable!! Jennifer and Erica were fabulous to work with and answered all of our questions with very quick responses! We stepped inside when we arrived to an immaculate home with lovely music playing and the temperature were perfect for a very hot summer day. The beds were so comfortable and the kitchen has anything one could possibly need to cook. The dock is awesome and the view is beautiful!! We were very pleased and cannot wait to go back. It is our favorite rental on Lake Oconee and we have rented several different homes there in the past. This one is definitely #1 for us! Thank you so much for sharing your lake home with us!

LOOK NO FURTHER!

I have been to this lake many times and am familiar with the area. Needing something on short notice, this gem was available. I knew exactly where it was, checked out all the photos and read every review..... This place is PERFECT. It is BY FAR the best value in the area. We used the dock and kept the boat we rented there during our stay. We spent HOURS just floating in the lake right off the dock, which is an easy walk, just steps from the house. PERFECT location to just chill and float!! Coffee every morning on the back deck overlooking the lake was the best way to start the day. You are minutes from Publix, shops and restaurants. Angela was amazing and easy to contact (which I only did to tell her how impressed I was with her place), and the house itself is the perfect lakehouse for a quick get away. Already looking forward to the next trip back. If you are considering this place, DO NOT HESITATE.... you wont be disappointed.

Boaters look no further!

Location- Stunning sunrise’s with extensive water views! This property faces due East which is not only great for sunrises, but also having the sun in the west in the afternoon makes it much cooler on the property. The property is minutes away from grocery stores, pharmacies and wonderful restaurants. However, you would never know you were that close to town based on the property location nestled on a hill surrounded lots of trees and very quiet. The screened in patio even has a canal that runs along the side of it which makes you feel like you’re surrounded by water. Boating - The property is located in the cove off the main thorough fare between two bridges, which reduces a lot of the boat traffic and wake action at the pier. The bridges had an 8 foot clearance, which was plenty for our Deep V 18 foot center console to pass under that we brought with us from the coast. The dock had ample cleats, and we were able to secure our boat in the middle of the slip so any waves did not affect the boat. We didn’t even need to put fenders out. This is a huge benefit as a Boater because it protects your boat from rubbing at the pier. Plenty of deep water to enjoy the dock. Nice open Bay Area for tubing, again with limited boat traffic. The boat landing is literally 1 minutes away. Trailer parking on premises! The Property - as advertised and promised! Thoughtfully provisioned house with extremely comfortable beds and bedding. 3 king beds! Great Host! We’ll be back…

A relaxing escape on the lake

We had such a great time at the Sway House. The canoes are a nice touch. We paddled around the lake for a few hours and took in the beautiful setting. It’s set in a nice quiet cove and was very relaxing and peaceful. The house itself is perfect. All the comfort creatures of home with games to play, comfortable places to sit and read a book, and a fireplace out back. It offered a true escape from our busy lives.

Perfect location

Our family has stayed at this property multiple times and we always enjoy our annual lake trip. The location is so convenient to fish tale marina , restaurants and Publix. We cook all of our meals there and the kitchen is very well stocked with all the necessary items to prepare meals. The dock is great for a boat and jet skis. The neighbors are super nice and always chat with us when we’re outside. Angela ( the owner) is so quick to answer any questions that we had before or during our stay. I highly recommend this home if you are planning a trip to beautiful Lake Oconee
