The Oyster is located in SE downtown fort Walton Beach ,right off the Miracle Strip Parkway. The Oyster is a Historic cozy little cottage in a quiet setting and is also in walking distance of fantastic restaurants and fun filled night life. The Oyster has a cozy living room and spacious kitchen area with a washer and dryer area right at your fingertips. There is a beautiful front porch for relaxing with a cool beverage and good book or cooking a burger on the grill. A large bedroom with two full beds and full bathroom just off the bedroom area. There is a huge yard so if you are traveling with boats, jet skis, or campers this is the place for you! Plenty of room for parking .
The Oyster is a short walk from Highway 98 ā€œThe Miracle strip ā€œ This area is lined with some of the best restaurants, shopping and night life in the area. The Fort Walton Beach Landing is also in walking distance it is know for the famous Billy Bowlegs Festival that happens in the beginning of May in fact The Torch light Parade lines the road in front of the Historic Oyster Cottage during that time. The Oyster is located 3 minutes away from Okaloosa Island, you will go over the Brooks Bridge that overlooks the intercoastal waterway where you will find the worldā€™s most beautiful beaches with emerald green waters and sugar white sand . Okaloosa island also has fantastic dining with world famous restaurants ,shopping, and loads of fun! For the sportsmanā€™s that didnā€™t bring your boat there is also the Okaloosa Island Pier, so much fun fishing off the huge pier that goes into the Gulf of Mexico! For those that do bring your boat you are about 10 minutes away from Destin east pass, where the fishing is ! once known as Floridaā€™s Famous little fishing village now is one of the most sought vacation destination in the country. The Harbor walk is located by the Destin East Pass and it is lined with boat ,paddle board, wave runners, and parasailing rentals ,restaurants, shopping , arcades, and spas . World Famous Crab Island is also located there and the party is waiting on you, rememberā€¦.. what happens at Crab Island stays at Crab Island lol ! Fishing , fun , and relaxing by the beautiful beach it doesnā€™t get any better.

Everything was clean, the area was very quiet, about 7 minutes from the beach by car. The owner was very friendly and answered all our questions quickly.

Perfect place

Couldnā€™t find a better spot to keep a boat and have all the convenienceā€™s of home , well definitely stay there again. Very convenient to Destin. House was well stocked with towels , detergent , dishes and such.

We stayed with two small dogsā€¦. So many sticker (sandspurs) in the yard that letting them outside was impossible. First time in the yard, we picked over 60 from their paws and hair. Painful. Owner does not put effort into amenities.Only heat/ac was very loud window units.One night stay was definitely not worth the 333 charge

Great Trip!

I was looking for quite some time for a nice place for my gals and I to stay for our beach trip and this certainly was the place! Itā€™s in a great location! Close to everything and the owners are very kind and respond swiftly! Only downfall is the house is a little run down but that didnā€™t stop us from having an amazing time!

Peaceful little spot

Is a little bit older home but nice location and a very attentive owner to any needs you may have. Only 5 min or so from public beach and gulf seashore we loved. If we go back to panhandle of Florida we would stay again.

Very clean house with everything you would need for your stay.

Easy process. From finding it to checking in. The house is older but very clean and comfortable. I would rent this property again.

Ideal location. Very clean except for a couple dead roaches. The A/C worked, but it never got cool, so I would bring a fan next time. This place had nice utilities and had everything we needed for a great stay.

The little house was perfect for us and our pups!

I felt safe having all the motion detector lights around the outside of the house. There was a lot of foot traffic a block away, but the little side street the house is on was quiet! The house itself had all the essentials and we were happy to have our pets with us!

Great place!

Everything about this property was so simple and easy. The host was very attentive to the questions I had. The location was on a great place. Very calm. The house itself was older, but it was very homey and filled with things that you wouldnā€™t expect normally and had everything we needed! Would definitely rent this property again!

Convenience and cozy

My family and I enjoyed our stay. Enjoyed the convenience of having our dogs with us and close access to everything we wanted to see! Wish the yard was fenced in only because the dogs from the neighbors house roam free and we had two incidents walking our dogs out to use the bathroom and running into unleashed dogs from next door. Could use a bit of updating but the hosts were extremely helpful and responded quickly to any questions I had.

Awesome Little Beach House ā¤ļø

The location was fantastic, just down the street from dining, shopping and the beach. Could easily ride a bicycle to the Fort Walton shopping strip! The house had everything you may want/need for your trip. The host was awesome and was super easy to work with and extremely responsive. Kid and pet friendly rental, plenty of parking! We will definitely pack less next trip to The Pearl since they have everything available to use when you get there.

Adorable and convenient

Itā€™s a great little cottage much nicer than any hotel room youā€™ll find at that price. Itā€™s conveniently located and the host was great. The bathroom door doesnā€™t close well, which is awkward as close as the beds are to the bathroom. I also wouldnā€™t stay here with my dogs again because the neighborā€™s dog hopped the fence pretty easily and gave mine a hard time, making it hard to walk mine.

Oyster Shell

Very grateful we could bring our dog, we were there for nephewā€™s wedding. Last 3 days our grandson didnā€™t want to go home early so he stayed with us. We were pleasantly surprised when one of the days we barely made it to the driveway because of the Pirate Parade! We All thought that was awesome! For the price it was worth itā€¦we also enjoyed walking through the old cemetery across the street, historical.
