Beautiful lakefront home with wonderful water views. The property is very private and has its own beach and private dock. Boat rentals are available in Alton Bay and the private dock makes it convenient.

The home is situated on a private road and is very quiet. It's location is ideal and one can be in Alton Bay in 5 minutes, Gunstock in 10 minutes or Laconia and Weirs Beach in 20 minutes.

Great week long stay! Perfect spot on Lake W and close to downtown Alton Bay. Furniture could use updating and mothball smell was potent to keep pests away. Otherwise, we strongly recommend booking. Great fishing!

The house was very spacious and the location was perfect. The U Dock accommodated 3 boats at one point. The best part was the host. Very responsive and answered all our questions. Would highly recommend. Thanks Paul.

Great place, great location!

Alton Bay is my favorite location on the lake and the house is perfect for my family. Paul is great to work with and will hopefully rent again next year.

Great Lake House

Lots of sleeping pace and a great dock. Easy to get an Alton Bay boat rental and enjoy from the privacy at this house. We would recommend and will definitely look to book a return stay.

The house was located off a quite street. The yard in the back was a bonus as most rental homes on the lake do not have this amenity. We put the boys in the basement and the adults upstairs. My suggestion is to swap out the twin beds upstairs with the queen in the basement. The kitchen had what we needed and all the appliances worked well. We parked two boats on the dock and could have easily placed a third. It is a short drive to Alton and an equally quick boating trip to Wolfeboro. We will definitely look to renting this home again.

Nice lake house

The view and lake front amenities were amazing and just what you expect. And thatā€™s what we really rented this house for! Grass area was nice, and the double dock was great too. My kids (3 & 1) loved the little beach area as well. The house was okay, could have been cleaner downstairs, needs some loving. Just dated in some small ways for what the price point is.

Great week!

The layout of the house is great. Plenty of room for all. Well stocked kitchen. Patio area nice place to relax and grill. Lawn area for lounging or playing lawn games. Our boat fit nicely in the u shaped dock. Everyone had a great week.

Nice Stay on the Lake

Hello - Paul's house was clean, and in a great location, lots of room for our families. The small beach area was great for the little kids, and the view for the Alton fireworks for the 4th was awesome! The only negatives were there were no linens provided (and that was not clear on the listing), and the two pull-put couches were very old and falling apart and not something we felt comfortable sleeping on. You can tell there have been a lot of updates and having the a/c in the hot weather was so appreciated.

Shortcomings

We had to supply our own linens, which we knew beforehand and had previously rented this property. Vents need to be cleaned, smoke alarm is missing from ceiling of entertainment area (a code violation?), burnt out light bulbs, thin ply toilet paper, insufficient dish detergent. View, grill, outside amenities were excellent. Would stay again.

Beautiful view

Pros: beautiful views, lots of room to spread out inside and outside,safe docks for a boat, and lots of pots, pans, dishes, and utensils. Lots of parking spaces. Cons: most surfaces in kitchen were not clean, I spent most of our first day scrubbing kitchen and bathroom surfaces. Not what I expected from an expensive property with high cleaning fees. Many stone stairs to climb. I would not recommend for elderly or toddlers. Only paper products provided were toilet paper and one roll of paper towels. The renters following my family are lucky! I would recommend this home only to adults and families with older children.

This was out 3rd year staying at the property and it fits our needs perfectly. The location (Alton Bay), size of the house (4 bedrooms) and boat dock. Hope to return next summer.

Beautiful home

What a view! House is right on the lake with a wall of windows. Beds were very comfortable, kitchen well equipped, and we had air conditioning! That was a blessing with a week of 90 degree heat. Host was very responsive. Worth every penny.

Beautiful view from the main level dining area. Lots of space to move around and spread out. 2 queen bedrooms on the lower level, twin bedroom and king upstairs. Plenty of bathrooms. Will want water shoes for going into the water from the beach area, water drops of quickly, hard to get toddlers in and out by beach. Dock great for your boat. Plenty of parking for 3 cars and truck with boat trailer. AC was great and we all had a great vacation.

Great place for a group

We loved this house! Beautiful views, beautiful comfortable home with two living spaces so everyone can spread out. Nice little beach space with a fire pit. U-shaped dock to keep the boat nice and secure. Owner Paul very easy to deal with. Highly recommend!!

Lake Winnipesaukee Rental

Pros: great location, beautiful view of Lake Winnipesaukee, ample parking, two car garage, quiet area, comfortably sleeps ten, 2.5 baths, open kitchen to dining/living room with views of the lake, large dinning area, second kitchen with extra refrigerator was a huge help, large assortment of pots/pans, central air was great for humid days, partially fenced in grassy area for kids to play, sandy beach good for kids, also had a fire pit and wood was supplied, but beach a bit rocky for swimming, bring water shoes, a good sized dock, our 20 ft boat fit well Cons: overall cleanliness could be improved, downstairs bathroom was especially in need of cleaning upon arrival A few problems arose while staying here, but owner was responsive and quickly had necessary repairs completed. Overall had a great week, would definitely rent again.

Great location and communication with the owner

I love this place, some reviews say that that it is outdated, but you can clearly see that the owner is making upgrades. This property was spacious and really nice for two family living. they dock and private beach were really nice... Great location on the Winni. Views were awesome. Rent this place before the owner finished upgrades, because once they are completed, the price and demand will increase.

Fabulous location

We had a fantastic week at this Alton Bay house. The views are really gorgeous! The yard and dock are great. The interior of the house is a bit dated but they recently added central air which saved us as the first 2 days were over 95 degrees. It was a really great location with a beautiful grassy area. We would go back in a heartbeat!
