The house is well laid-out with a large deck, full kitchen, spacious dining area, bonus room with 55 inch TV and comfy bedrooms. the fireplace is the heart of this home. Whether is an evening with friends or a cozy interlude with your partner you'll love the warm and charm. Peek-a-boo views of Baum Bay through the spruce trees, gentle breezes and the sounds of shore birds and local fishermen's boats coming and going will add to the serenity of your visit. Just step out the door and stroll along the quiet road over looking the Bay and Spruce Head Island. Minutes for Rockland and with in a short drive of other Mid-Cost attractions.

This is our second year staying at this property, and it is a wonderful experience. The house is as advertised - close to everything but still secluded and quiet. The kitchen is well appointed, the beds are comfortable and inviting, the living room is great for relaxing and talking, or you can go downstairs and play pool or watch television. The porch was great for eating a meal while watching nature or just sitting outside and reading. And on a clear night, the view of the stars overhead just takes your breath away. The host was very responsive to questions and made it clear we were valued as guests. It is a lovely property, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Peaceful location and a comfortable house. We stayed for one week in July and would recommend this place. The location is in a quiet community connected by a narrow, paved road which is a great morning or evening walk. Near McLoon's Lobster place, close enough to Thomaston, Rockland, Owl's Head Lighthouse and also Birch Point State Park (for the beach). The house has a well-equipped kitchen, very comfortable bed in the primary suite, seating in the living room for a large group and an outdoor deck where you could enjoy meals iindoors dining area is spacious). We are a couple so we did not take advantage of the.downstairs (with a second bathroom, albeit oddly arranged), or the second bedroom. Private setting since there are only a few houses beyond this one on the road. The Kitchen has nice appliances and there is a new-ish washer and dryer. Highly recommended for a great time in Maine.

The area was great and the sunset was gorgeous. However, my husband got sick on our last day because he couldn’t bear the smell sulfur odor from the water. He could not shower that morning because he kept gagging. I did explain that was disclosed but we didn’t realize how strong it was. Also, the basement did have an intense musty odor, which was also disclosed prior to the stay. It did not help my asthma at all. I know a dehumidifier would help with that but it is impossible to have your guests want to empty the water once to twice a day. Our sons did enjoy the pool table and the deck.

Acadia Adventures

Our family of five spent four days exploring both Acadia National Park and the Freeport area and this was the perfect location. Close enough to take the few hour drive to each location and secluded enough to get away from the hustle and bustle. We 100% recommend this location for others looking for adventures across the great state of Maine!

Easy and Relaxing

The house was the perfect size for our 4 person family. the kids enjoyed the games (pool table and Bball hoop) and having their own space downstairs. Thanks so much for sharing your home with us!

Wonderful time

This was our second year staying here and it is a great fit for our crew. Two older teenagers love having the downstairs space to themselves, myself and my older adult daughter stay in the upstairs bedrooms. Very spacious, clean, lovely deck for meals and social time, beautiful setting. Near many things we enjoy including wonderful places to eat (especially McLoons Lobster Shack right on the island; Primo's for something fancy, and The Happy Clam for family dinner); Owls Head and Birch Point State parks for beach time; Rockland for the farmer's market, excellent coffee shops, the Farnsworth Art Museum, and wandering around/browsing. Lovely spot, great host.

Beautiful home! Very accessible to attrations

This house was very large and had many amenities. The Yard was great and had a very nice deck equipped for entertaining guests. We enjoyed sitting out in the evening around the gas firepit spending time with Family from the area. We enjoyed watching the wildlife walk right up though the yard. Spacious garage we did not use but was accessible. 3 Bedrooms and 2 baths were spacious and well equipped. We loved the large stone fireplace in the Livingroom it was beautiful for taking memorable pictures. Kids enjoyed the large basement familyroom with TV where they could get away to themselve.

The house was as described and very nice. The location was quiet, and we loved the view of the night sky. Beds were comfortable. Kitchen well equipped. Questions got answered promptly We got lobster delivered to us!! Owner left some literature about sights to see and things to do in the area, which was very helpful. The light in the dining area is poor, as we could not get the overhead light to work. We tried every light switch we could find. Made it a little hard to do activities around the table after dark. But we managed. Also just watch the downstairs bathroom. Owner warned us floor was uneven, and it takes a bit of getting used to, but we managed with no issue. Overall, this was just a delightful place to stay, and we thoroughly enjoyed our week there. Would rent again.

This is a great location and spacious home. The beds and pillows were very comfortable and we enjoyed the outdoor space. Ellen was responsive to our questions and gave us some great recommendations for local spots. The entire house was very clean and had some great amenities.

The house was immaculate and very well stocked with things to use in the kitchen and the bath. Lots of space to sit and relax and visit with family. The game room was great for watching Worth Cup. The porch was awesome allowing us to sit outside and enjoy the quiet and the beauty around the house.Excellent place and host…highly recommend.

Hello, Welcome to Maine and to my home. My name is Ellen. I recently purchased this property and I have been getting it ready for you all winter. I have enjoyed every minute of it. It is my hope you will feel welcomed and relaxed here. While you are enjoying this property I will be on and island 20 miles from here tending to my lobster fishing business. I also am a Real Estate Broker for RE/MAX Jaret & Cohn. In my absents my sister will be seeing to the management of the day to day things here at the house. She lives in the neighborhood and will see that everything runs smoothly.

We have made every effort to make you feel at home here. You'll be tucked away from the hustle and bustle but only a short drive all the mid-coast has to offer. This property has a wonderful feel the minute you step through the door.

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

One of my favorite things about this location is that you can step out the door and have a nice walk around the point. The water views are lovely and the neighborhood are very friendly. You are perfectly located for easy day trips to other areas such Boothbay or Bar Harbor. Rockland and Camden are just a few minutes drive you can easily enjoy all the dining and seasonal events they have to offer. How about a day at Drift Inn Beach and Marshal Point light? You'll find that just down the peninsula. Pick up the best crab roll (or any other goodies) at the Keag Store, just minutes away.
