Classic Shotgun-Bywater/Saint Claude Neighborhood
Enjoy a stay in a typical New Orleans Shotgun Style house in the Historic Bywater/Saint Claude neighborhood. We love how centrally located this property is, within walking distance to pretty much anything you might need.
We chose this house for the neighborhood. We absolutely fell in love with the Bywater and all of its unique bars and eateries. We consider ourselves lucky to also have gotten some of the best neighbors who are always there to help, ask questions to, or just a friendly face to say hi and ask how your day is going. The Bywater offers all that the typical touristy spots in New Orleans do, without the crowds. However, if you still want to visit Bourbon or Frenchmen, we are about a 40 minute walk or 5 minute Uber from all that they have to offer.
We stay at the house when we find time to, so prior to opening up as a rental, we made sure that the unit has everything it needs to be fully functioning and feel like home. We have central HVAC for those hot Lousiana days, and rare cool nights. As people who enjoy cooking and baking, we made sure that the kitchen has anything you might need for your stay and then some! We have a kitchen aid stand mixer, blender, food processor, and emersion blender, so that you can make anything your heart desires! We have a Smart TV with access to Netflix, and even a self cleaning vacuum to help keep the house clean while you are able to relax!
New Orleans, as any big City, has its fair share of crime. However, generally speaking our area does not see as much crime as other neighborhoods might. We feel extremely comfortable walking the streets at night, and going about our day without issue. Nonetheless, to ensure guest safety and comfortableness, we have installed a SimpliSafe Security system that, if guests would like to use, allows for SimpliSafe to monitor the house to call for emergency services if needed.
