Good stay

Communication with Brian was excellent and he responded quickly to requests/questions. The apartment is as advertised. The kitchen is well-appointed with pots/pans/cutlery knives, and various cooking utensils. The stove, microwave and fridge all worked as expected and we were able to cook anything we wanted (although we did bring our own air fryer :>). We also appreciated that there was lots of cupboard/closet space throughout, which is important for a month-long stay. Both the heat and AC worked well, as needed, but most of the time the bedroom fan and an open window sufficed. The area was very quiet at night, although we could easily hear other tenants through the walls during the day. No problem sleeping, though. Walking distance to the lake and a safe-feeling neighborhood. Nearby grocery stores (long walk or short drive).

Our stay was great! Property was as described. Brian was friendly, helpful, and available at anytime by phone or in person. We definitely would stay here again. It was delightful!

This place is immaculately well kept, very nice, well stocked with just about anything you would need. The owner Brian lives on site and is extremely nice and helpful if you need him. Excellent price for the area and size of the apartment! Hoping to make.it back to see more of the Big Easy!

Home away from home

This is the best place we have stayed in when we visit New Orleans. Brian made my husband and I feel at home. When I walked thru the door it felt like I was home. This will be the only place we will stay when we visit. Thank you Brian!!!! See you next year.

Centrally located, clean and quiet!

This apartment is clean, nice and quiet. Easy to access with plenty of shopping and restaurants near by. Just grab an Uber to the French Quarter, it was so much easier than trying to find parking! Close enough to major highways to get to other attractions outside right outside of NOLA like swamp and plantation tours! Thanks for letting us use your space ā˜ŗļø

A place nice enough to live!

When I walked in I had a feeling. Man it is good to be home. Everything was emmaculate and tastefully decorated. It looked exactly like the pictures, but, it was far more spacious. Some good eatiries we're close by, about a mile away, down on the lake. Brian was fantastic on communication and was there for the few questions I had. I would recommend to anyone needing a place to stay that wants to experience New Orleans.

Great Home Away from Home

The property is on a quiet street in a quiet residential neighborhood. Safe off street parking. There is a lovely gated courtyard with a gazebo which is lovingly maintained by the owners who live in a adjacent unit. Easy access with keyless entry. The unit was clean and well maintained. Central A/C was quiet and kept the place cool. WiFi was up and reasonably fast. Cable TV in the living room (note: its on a outlet controlled by a wall switch, so make sure the switch is "on"). Kitchen was immaculate. Nice sized late model washer and dryer. Queen sized bed in the bedroom was very comfortable. Spacious walk-in closet. Bathroom was clean and well maintained. This is a great place for a couple looking for a home way from home, not a party house. It is walking distance to several eating spots near the lake, but otherwise plan to have a car. You can be just about anywhere in NOLA in under 30 minutes from here. We will definitely be back.

Very Good Option in Metairie

My husband and I stayed at this apartment for five nights over the Christmas holidays. It worked out very well for us since we have family in Metairie. This apartment is one of four apartments which the owner, Brian, rents out. They are all part of his home complex, which is interesting. It was nice to know that the owner was right on the premises if there were any problems, which I"m pleased to say, there weren't. This apartment is idea for a couple to rent. It is clean and well appointed. I really liked having the washer and dryer. (detergent is provided) plus the TV set-up was quite good with multiple premium channels. This apartment was on the ground floor. We would occasionally hear people above us, but only in regular day hours. At night and in the morning, it was very quiet. There is a parking area immediately adjacent to the apartments, which is nice instead of street parking. It is a safe neighborhood, with a school right next door and the Winn Dixie within 1 mile. Also, a big plus for us was being able to walk three blocks to the Bucktown Marina path, which runs along Lake Ponchatrain. And, three great local restaurants are within walking distance: R & O's, Deannie's and New Orleans Food and Spirits. Within a very short drive is a local favorite, The Blue Crab. The only reason this lodging doesn't get a 5-Star rating is the comfort of the queen size bed. It was firm, but had minimal padding. We like firm with more cushioning. I think the photos shown on HomeAway accurately display the apartment. We are frequent visitors to New Orleans and hope to be able to stay here again.

Charming Home Away from Home

The place was clean, restful and hassle free. The apartment had everything I needed with great restaurants and other amenities near by. The wifi service was excellent and the owner available if/when I needed something. If you are looking for a place that feels like home, please consider this quiet and comfortable place, which is just a skip and a hop to and from downtown. Looking forward to a return visit.

great place

The unit is quite spacious and well furnished with a nice patio for relaxing. Upon arrival it was really clean and welcoming. Short drive away from French quarter and easy access in and out. Would definitely stay there again.

Great location for local restaurants and shopping within minutes. Only a few minutes drive from FQ

Clean and nice area of Metairie within minutes of shopping and dining. Only a few minutes drive from downtown NOLA and French Quarter. Will definitely return. This was my second time staying here.

Nice, quiet space near NOLA!

Brian's place was perfect for our family vacation to New Orleans! It was clean, quiet and beautifully decorated. Brian was very hospitable and friendly. The courtyard was stunning and off street parking was a plus! It was a short drive to the Aquarium, Zoo and Butterfly garden and the French Quater was a short walk from the Aquarium. We throughouly enjoyed our stay and would recommend Brian's place to anyone visiting the area!

Great place to stay

Quiet, clean, and safe

The apartment is exactly like the pictures, very clean and comfortable. Brian had little snacks set up in the kitchen when we first arrived which was very welcoming. We really enjoyed the outside garden area where there was a table and chairs, small fire pit, and hammock. The area felt very safe since it was gated and was in a quiet neighborhood. We were close enough to walk to a grocery store and take cheap Uber rides anywhere. We highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a getaway. Thank you, Brian, for an amazing stay!

First impression was nice! It's a good place! The place had everything we could have needed

I couldn't be more thankful for Brian letting us rent here! We had a phenomenal time, and we're pretty close to the French quarter too!! Brian provided everything we could have needed from kitchen necessities, to washing detergent and bathroom necessities! My trip was so great!! Wonderful!

This was our first home away experience and it was great! We were 5 minutes away from access to downtown New Orleans (via trolley). Brian was very accommodating and gave us a great recommendation for dinner in Metarie. We would definitely book this place again! It was clean and well maintained!

Truly a jewel!

I cannot say anything negative about our stay. The pictures and description of the unit are really understatements. The area was extremely quit. The unit was very conveniently located. It was close enough, but far enough away from everything. This will definitely be my place to stay when I'm in the area.

Home away from Home...

We stayed here for 10 days while visiting family. This place had everything we needed and then some...This place was set up with washer/dryer and the TV choices were great for winding down after a busy day with family. And we had to work some - and the WiFi made the world of difference and helped us to get what we needed done - FAST! This location was 10-15 minutes to Audubon Park area where our family lives...and about the same to the downtown area. There is a supermarket down from the apartment and was helpful when we were getting ready for Thanksgiving. The Owner is awesome and went WAY above and beyond to make our stay memorable and we will be back in the very near future. If you are looking for a great place at an affordable rate - look no further and book this place for your stay in New Orleans...we will!

Nothing short of wonderful

Brian was a perfect host all the directions given were a great help he helped with everything I asked the area wasn't bad at all it was very quiet. Was only 15 minutes from bourbon street which was only a $12 uber ride the house was perfect for at the most 3 it was exactly like the pictures shown! My overall experience was great I wouldn't mind coming again thanks for everything Brian you were awesome

Excellent Stay!

We loved our stay! The place was quiet, cozy, and clean and never too far from any of the activities we had planned. Great location, enjoyed the nearby seafood market and restaurant. We especially enjoyed visiting with our personal tour guide/activity director - the owners young, adorable son who was able to give us great suggestions for activity and food while he rode his bike around the drive :) Felt much more safe and definitely comfortable staying here instead of downtown. Thanks for being such great hosts!
