Escape to the Clouds: The Berry Barn Awaits You!

Enjoy the mountain air at The Berry Barn on the Knoll in Fleetwood, NC! Located between Boone and West Jefferson in Ashe County, NC. Relax on the porch and enjoy the tranquility of Fleetwood with privacy, yet convenient location to nearby towns. The cozy barn is private, with only one other vacation cabin in sight. A perfect place to get away!

Enter from the front porch into a fully stocked, light and bright kitchen.. The home opens up into the dining area which features a unique Whiskey Barrel table and flows into the cozy living room. With a long range mountain view out of the living room window and Smart TV, this room is the perfect gathering area. The Berry Barn has 2 bedrooms. The main bedroom has a king sized bed, Smart TV, and is ensuite with a full bath. The second room is equally spacious as the main bedroom with a king sized bed and Smart TV as well. The second full bath with a tub/shower combination is located down the hallway, and has a full size washer and dryer. The front porch is equipped with a gas grill and lounger chairs, and the back porch is ready to entertain with rockers, a picnic table, and gorgeous long range mountain views.

The Berry Barn is located off of Windy Hill Road in Fleetwood, near the New River access. A great and convenient place to begin or end a kayak or floating trip down the New River. There is also a walking path down to the creek on the lower portion of the Berry Barn property.

The Berry Barn is located 15 minutes from downtown West Jefferson - which has shopping, restaurants, breweries, a movie theatre, and the famous Ashe County Cheese Store. Downtown Boone is only about 20-25 minutes away. As the small town that hosts Appalachian State University, there are tons of things to do and see in Boone. The Blue Ridge Parkway is easily accessible with a 20 minute drive. The hiking and sightseeing possibilities are endless from there! There is a beautiful, moderately-easy waterfall hike located on near the Barn on the Parkway called Cascade Falls- which is always a guest favorite!

There is no cable, however there is Wifi available. There are 3 Smart TV's in the house, which you are welcome to log on to your streaming services through.

Pet friendly with a $50 per pet fee.

4WD / AWD recommended in the Winter, since the Berry Barn is located on a gravel road.

Very nice place. No issues other than burned out bulb in the refrigerator. We had a family thanksgiving dinner here and really enjoyed staying here. only thing i might suggest is lighting under the deck where you park your cars. difficult to make your way down the stairs there and you could easily trip. Would definately stay again here.

Yes. Everything was in place as advertised. Our dogs enjoyed the morning walks and watching the deer from the porch. Very clean.

Nice view and peaceful place

This was a cute little home with a very nice view of the distant mountains. We liked sitting on the covered porch in the mornings and at sunset. The place overall was clean, but I could tell pets stay there because my cat/dog allergies kicked in (my fault for not thinking about that in advance as I didn't initially notice the owner allows pets). We did have a problem with the internet working, but it was eventually fixed after a day or two. The owner/host was very quick to respond to messages and resolve the internet problem. She was a great communicator and cared about solving problems - we really appreciated that about Danielle. If it wasn't for my allergies, we would definitely come back!

One more thing to be thankful for…

My wife, daughter, her husband, one year old granddaughter, and I spent Thanksgiving at The Barn. We could not have asked for a better place to enjoy the holiday. Loved the open floor plan. Everything was very clean and updated. Many things seemed brand new. And the kitchen was more than ready to take on the Thanksgiving cooking. Icing on the cake, incredible view of the mountains. Truly a happy place! Great memories! Would love to go back! Is tomorrow too soon?

A Wonderful Stay

The house is great with wonderful long views. The kitchen is well stocked for any kind of cooking. We spent a lot time on the covered porch, which came in handy when we had rain. West Jefferson, with shopping and restaurants is about 15 minutes away. I highly recommend this house and look forward to returning!

Beautiful Place to stay

The family came to celebrate our nephew's graduation and the Berry Barn was a great place for our stay. My brother and our spouses really enjoyed the Berry Barn. It is a beautiful 2 bedroom/2 bath home that has everything needed for a peaceful stay. As a cook, I loved the kitchen, which was well stocked to prepare any meal. We all relaxed in the serenity of the back porch in the rocking chairs. It was great for our short stay, and I would suggest a longer term stay to enjoy all the area has too offer.

Cozy Mountain Getaway!

Enjoyed staying here so much! It was very inviting & had everything you needed for your stay. Probably one of the cleanest stays I’ve ever experienced. The beds are also SO comfortable. My boyfriend & I stayed here during the New River Marathon and we couldn’t get over how comfortable and at home it felt. Truly a cozy & comfortable getaway!

Beautiful views, watching the sunset from the covered porch, lovely decor, privacy, it was everything we wanted in a vacation! We would stay again in a heartbeat.

Short Vacation Trip

The Berry Cabin was just as advertised and more...it was spacious, immaculately clean and stocked with all that we needed. It was peaceful and a change of pace out of our ordinary. The host was gracious and easy to communicate with as well. I would like to return on an other short trip again in the future.
