Looking for a fall/winter getaway with family or friends? Perfectly located for apple picking, and wine tasting.

New mattresses for 2024!! Breezy Beach Cottage is a new build in 2022 in a quiet neighborhood! This cozy cottage has membership only stair access to Lake Michigan that is just a short, 5 minute walk through the neighborhood! Within 10 minutes of Downtown South Haven. Close to grocery, shopping, golf, winery, brewery, farm market and u-pick orchards.

This 3 bedroom, 2 full bathroom cottage is everything you need for a family getaway. Enjoy the cool lakeshore nights in the 6 person hot tub on the screened in back porch. The outdoor space has Adirondack chairs around a fire pit perfect for making S'mores. Each bedroom has a TV connected to WiFi. The kitchen comes fully equipped with a variety of utensils and small appliances to make you feel right at home. We also have a foosball table in the basement for the kids (and kids at heart!)

ACTIVITIES NEARBY:
Dutch Farmers Market: Open 7 days a week during the summer, they offer fresh bakery items, homemade jams and ice cream! They are also a u-pick orchard with many varieties of fruit (depending on the time of year), so it can be a fun adventure for all ages!

Downtown South Haven: A quaint downtown area complete with little shops and amazing restaurants. Also home to the Maritime Museum! Located about 10 minutes from our Cottage, there are plenty of things to see that could fill an afternoon!

Golf Courses: South Haven is home to multiple golf courses! Hawkshead Links is located only 5 minutes away from our Cottage! Beeches Golf Course is a short 15 minute drive.

Wineries: South Haven is home to a handful of wineries. Cogdal Vineyards is a 2 minute drive away. They have an outdoor seating area that overlooks the vines!

Breweries: South Haven is also home to many breweries. Waypost Brewing is a hidden gem, located 10 minutes north of the cottage in Glenn. Downtown South Haven has more options for breweries as well!

Great vacation place!

Very nice neighborhood with a short walk to the beach. Very clean and comfortable. Lots of wildlife around. Overall- we had a great time!

Spent a long weekend with family (5 adults) for my nephews wedding. House is clean and new. Hot tub was great. A sweet message and trail mix were left on the table for us:)Beautiful views of Lake Michigan from a short walk down the street. Suggest adding luggage racks and/ or small dresser with drawers to allow guests to be a little more comfortable. Would also leave more soap for bathroom.

Great beach cottage

Nice new clean beach cottage. Very well appointed - the kitchen had everything we needed and the some. Also thoughtful extras like board games and outdoor yard games. Worked out great for our family of six (2 college age, 2 parents and 2 grandparents).

Quick Family trip

We had 6 adults and a 6 month old with us for our trip. The house was so clean and exactly how it’s listed! We loved the fire pit and hot tub. It’s a great area to stay and have a nice weekend getaway with the family! We will definitely be back.

Peaceful cottage - brand new!

My husband and I loved are stay in this brand new cottage with all the amenities we needed and more. Located in a peaceful, natural setting just up the road from Lake Michigan, and only a short drive to downtown and the public beaches. We will definitely be back!

Peaceful

Quiet neighborhood that allowed for reading on the back screened in porch at any point of the day with deer freely walking in the yard. Easy walk to the stairs to access the beach which was perfect for watching sunsets. A short drive to get to downtown South Haven to shop, eat and walk the pier to the lighthouse.

Bday and anniversary stay

Was a really great house. The only thing I would make better is the comfort of all the mattresses, considering the walk to the beach and down Mount Kilimanjaro, since you don’t have the lift pass or golf cart like most, was very disappointing.

Great Fall getaway

The whole family was very happy with this house! Very clean, quick responses from the owner, well stocked kitchen and the hot tub was a great extra with it being chilly out. Very quiet area and an easy drive to downtown. Being October, we had the beach to ourselves so that was nice. The beach was our kids favorite thing, even built sandcastles :) We will definitely keep this as an option for future visits to the area!

This beautiful cottage was very clean and felt like it was brand new. It is very tastefully decorated and furnished. The steps up from the beach are a bit daunting and led to us going in town to enjoy the beach rather than staying near the cottage, but the view of the sunset at the end of the street is beautiful. The neighborhood was very quiet and we enjoyed smores over the fire pit at night. We very much loved our stay here and highly recommend it!

Breezy Beach Cottage was a breeze

We had a wonderful time here at the cottage. From the amenities to the location, we could not ask for more. The house was impeccably clean and included everything we needed like towels, pots and pans and shampoo and conditioner. The jacuzzi was amazing! Thanks to our host for a wonderful experience, and for the indoor s'mores! :)

Wonderful Place

We had a wonderful stay at this VRBO. The house was clean and had everything we needed. The screened-in porch was wonderful and we made use out of the hot tub (even in the summer). We only made it down to the private beach once. It just too hard to lug stuff up and down the stairs. But, the public beach is a short drive and we were always able to find parking (even during busy July). We did enjoy watching the sunset from the atop the private beach (without taking the stairs).

Great Location (Walkable to Lake!), Clean, Spacious – Has Everything You Need

We’ve been coming to Michigan for a few years, and will definitely be back in South Haven. We love the relaxed atmosphere here, and hope to stay at the “Breezy Beach” Cottage again! We highly recommend it. The Cottage is perfect for a family of four and is in an excellent location! It is clean and spacious. Having two bathrooms is key, as well as the ability to wash your beach towels daily and have meals at your “home away from home.” (Meijer is a quick drive to stock up on your week’s essentials). We loved the hot tub on the patio, as well as relaxing on the Adirondack chairs and playing Bags outside. The ease of walking to the Private Beach every day can’t be beat, and the daily swimming in Lake Michigan was refreshing! Seeing families of deer walking around the woods in the Miami Park neighborhood was an added bonus. : ) We hiked on the Kal-Haven Trail and other local trails. We dined at Clementine’s, Black River Tavern and Kitchen 527 - all great meals. And of course we had delicious ice cream at Sherman’s Dairy Bar. Thanks, Emily - we hope all guests have an enjoyable stay here for many years to come!

Wonderful location

Property is super clean and has lots to enjoy like the fire pit, yard games, walk to beach, and hot tub. (During our stay, the hot tub had a sand ring in it when we arrived and started to smell unpleasant on Day Two. I imagine it's hard to keep one super sharp in a rental property. Sharing this in case it's a huge highlight for you, so you can ask the manager/owner to dial it in ahead of time.) We loved walking to the private beach, seeing deer and bunnies all around the neighborhood, and watching the sunset over Lake Michigan. We really appreciated the use of the on-site beach wagon and beach towels. A major suggestion for improving this rental would be to invest in better mattresses. The ones on-site during our stay were spring mattresses with depressions in the center. We considered flipping them, but they didn't appear to be the kind of mattresses that could/should be flipped.

Sister's Getaway week

My 2 sister's and stayed a week for a long awaited get away, we are all in our 60's and everything all on 1 level was perfect for us. Loved, loved loved the hot tub! We finished every evening with a glass of wine and a dip in the hot tub. The bunk bed was very hard, especially for women are age but we made do. We skipped the long stairs to the beach and drove to Packard Park beach and soent the day there. Younger people wouldn't have a problem. Suggestions, bring a larger coffee pot, omly gad a small hotel type coffee maker, very slow. There is a kuerig but we had ground coffee only. Also a small collection of kitchen serving bowls, casserole dishes, etc if yoy plan on cooking, bring what you need. A starter supply of paper towel, toilet paper, garbage bags, we barely made it, we didn't contact our host so maybe she would have brought more. Overall these drawbacks were only minor, we had the best time and were very comfortable! Don't hesitate in choosing Breazy Beach, we will stay again!
