The house was great for our purposes: very large (6 bedrooms with varying bed arrangements) and with lots of bathrooms (4.5). It served the ten in our party very well. The large sun room was especially great: half for dining and half for watching the large screen TV. It's located just ten minutes from the Harpers Ferry Visitors Center, where you can park and take a shuttle bus into the historic center.

Perfect place for larger families

Perfect place for larger families! Our family came to town over the holidays, and this house was perfect for them. The location is close to Harper's Ferry and Charles Town, and the house itself has more than enough space to host. Multiple bedrooms and bathrooms accommodated our party, and the multiple living rooms provided ample space to hang out. Definitely recommend to anyone needing a beautiful property in the area.

Nice family place

We spent 5 nights here. The house was large enough for everyone. An added bonus is that the location was near the outdoor activities our active teens needed. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch and watching the deer visit too

Nice large home and yard. Plenty of rooms and space. Great location and quiet. Large gathering indoor room and back porch with grill and fire pit with comfortable seating. Although our family reunion was nice, there were however simple things which we did not like:Sink in the upper master wasn't draining and tap splashed water all over our clothes - making the sink unusableSome bathrooms in the house had no hand soapBath towels were old and worn outNot enough hand towels in the bathroomsBeds were very uncomfortable and squeakyNo trash bags in the kitchenNo aluminum foil or plastic wrap or even cooking oilPots and pans in very bad shape - totally scratched and stained rending them unusable

Great House and Location

Plenty of room, both inside and out for our family. Very close to the park. Shuttle into an out of town. Great fire pit outback kitchen was well stocked for making meals would stay again.

Pros:- Plenty of space for our party of 10- Sunroom was a great gathering place, and definitely the warmest spot in the house (we stayed during the winter)- Great outside space! We even used the fire pit on a cold night and appreciated the available firewood.- Kids enjoyed the toys and games- Host was responsive- Generous check-in time, earlier than most rentals we've stayed at- Proximity to Harper's Ferry was perfectCons:- Mattresses and pillows are not comfortable, especially in the large room with four beds. This was a major con for us - having a comfortable place to sleep is essential!- The upstairs bathrooms generally aren't great. Everything is quite old and it shows. There are unusable draws and the shower heads are terrible.- The kitchen drawers were quite disorganized and need to be wiped out.- Many dishes were not actually clean, probably from previous renters. Not the host's fault directly, but things like that should be checked on.Overall - We appreciated the spacious house and its location. But due to the poor quality of beds and bathrooms, we would probably choose to stay elsewhere.

Great place for friends to get together

Very large house with lots of rooms which was perfect for us. Everyone in our group had their own bedroom and only a few had to share bathrooms. 2 large tables meant folks could play board games while others were eating w/o conflicting for space. Nice large kitchen for food prep. Check in was easy and host answered our questions w/i a reasonable time.

Country home

The house was large and accommodated all of our guests comfortably. There were a couple of issues when we checked-in. However, Kristin was very pleasant and these were easily solved. If we are in the area again, we will definitely rent this property.

Great location, perfect for big families

Overall our family of 10 (8 adults and 2 tweens) really enjoyed our stay. We loved the sun room and its big table for hanging out, playing games, and eating meals. Plenty to do within a 20-minute drive in any direction. Our biggest gripe was that the kitchen wasn't that well-stocked with essential tools (measuring spoons and cups, cutting boards, etc.), as we prepared almost all our meals at the house. What IS there is a bit disorganized, so you don't know where to look to find things. However, I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Kristin was swift to reply to questions and a request for some new light bulbs. Still giving a 10/10, as the kitchen stuff was mostly just annoying!

Plenty of room for the whole family

This property exceeded my expectations when it comes to accommodating a large group. We had 9 adults visiting for a family reunion and never did we feel like we were living on top of each other. We have one person who can not go up stairs and thankfully there is an in-law master bed sized room and attached bath on the first floor. On the second floor is another master bed sized room with attached bath along with the remainder of the bedrooms. A few bedrooms had playpens for babies but note there are no TVs other than the two downstairs. Most bedrooms have work desks which is a huge plus for any remote workers. A large work desk is also located in a private office on the first floor. A huge yard with plenty of deer watching in the dawn and dusk hours. Minutes from all of Harpers Ferry main attractions. A large fire pit with bench seats for everyone. A large deck out back with lots of seats and a wrap around porch. If out at night, I recommend to bring flashlights or lanterns as the rural property gets dark. I was able to see stars I havenā€™t seen in years due to suburban living. Bring your own washcloths for bathing but plenty of hand towels and body towels are provided. The best part was the house was stocked with kitchen ware to accommodate cooking for the whole family. And a washer and dryer are located in the kitchen. We would absolutely stay again. Thank you Kristin! 10/10.

Beautiful property, perfect location

The property was huge, even roomier than it looks on the pictures, and was immaculately maintained and clean. Perfect for a multi family visit to Harperā€™s Ferry and the surrrounding mountain activities.

Large beautiful home for family gatherings!

Stayed here for a few days to celebrate my motherā€™s 70th birthday and Thanksgiving. The house is lovely, beautifully decorated, and HUGE with enough bedrooms and bathrooms to accommodate a very large family with in-laws and kids. Sunroom was our favorite place! Close by to a number a great wineries and parks. Host was extremely responsive to all our needs. Would definitely stay again.
