Unique mountain paradise with garden and she-shed close to town

Conveniently located only 10 minutes from downtown Murphy, where you can enjoy shopping, antiquing, restaurants/bars. You can take in the mountain views from the large deck or on-site walking trails with bridge. There is plenty to do and see, whether you are looking for a relaxing “get a way from it all” experience or want to venture out to explore the area.

Hiking, fishing canoeing, mountain biking all are easily accessible. Take a 45 minute drive to enjoy whitewater rafting on either the Ocoee or Nantahala rivers, zip lining, kayaking or horseback riding. 12 minute drive to the John C. Campbell Folk school, where you can see concerts, take classes and attend the well-known Fall Festival in October. Two hours or less drive will get you to the the Great Smoky Mountain National Park, Blue Ridge Parkway, Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds, Joyce Kilmer Memorial Forest, Great Smoky Mountain Railroad, Biltmore House and the Tail of the Dragon for bikers. Located 15 minutes from Harrah's Cherokee Valley River Casino. Monti Alto is 40 minutes from Blue Ridge, GA and 2.5 hours from Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge.

Living room and bathrooms remodeled in 2022. Hand-carved wood accents and themed decorations throughout. Attached carport convenient for winter months. Reliable cell service and WiFi with 5G high-speed internet and smart TV. Kitchen is fully stocked with utensils and dinnerware. Wood stacked for fireplace. Linens and towels are provided.

Peaceful she-shed affords wooded view through glass. Man cave with 3rd bed/bath coming soon!

Beautiful views

The cabin was in an amazing location. It was very pretty. They are remodeling making things a little dangerous, particularly if you have kids or pets. Lots on nails and construction material about. The AC didn’t work but it was nice at night so we survived. The internet doesn’t work well and it was hard to get anything on the tv, but that really only bothered our teenager. The owners were very communicative and the property will really be amazing when all the work is done. We loved listening to the waterfall when we ate dinner!

Great house in the mountains

We rented this house for a short little trip away. It snowed on the weekend, so that was even better. The layout of the house was perfect for us and our two dachshunds. The area was so quiet and we even saw deer close by in the woods each day. We had a few questions for the owner, but he was very quick to respond and that was very appreciated!

Cozy cabin

Honestly this was the best part of our trip. We made a fire every night. Watched holiday movies, did puzzles. Really great family bonding time. The kitchen is well stocked, the showers don't run out of hot water. Highly recommend.

Trip to Murphy NC

We had a great visit but the weather did not agree. We made the best of our time, had firewood furnished so we enjoyed two evenings with fires in the fireplace. All in all had a good time.

Beautiful view!

This home is perfect if you're looking for a relaxing getaway and magnificent scenery. Vincent was easy to communicate with and provided everything necessary for a great stay. There are large TVs in every room, overhead fans, wifi, etc. and a fully stocked kitchen. All was as described but be prepared for a very steep drive up to the house.

Who needs a tv when you have that view?

We had an amazing stay at Monti Alto Chalet. Vince was so helpful - from walking us through using VRBO (first time!) to checking in to see if we wanted restaurant recommendations - he was a perfect host. The landscaping and property is beautiful, and we enjoyed our time on the deck with the hummingbirds, squirrels, and the deer down the hill. We could not have asked for a better getaway.

Want to go back!!!

This cabin home is complete perfection. We thoroughly enjoyed our 10 day and didn't want to leave. The view from the porch is incredible. Mountains in the distance that were beautiful to view during morning coffee or evening cocktails. The home has everything you need and Vince is great to work with. The community is lovely and serene. Drive up to the cabin is steep and one lane, scary the first few times but you get used to it. Rarely is another car coming the other way. All around EXCELLENT stay.

Absolutely beautiful mountain sunrises

Miss it already! Great communication with owner, easy check-in/check-out, beautiful & well kept property, great location to launch your adventures or just sit on the deck & enjoy nature. Watching the sunrise from the master bedroom is a treat in itself. Hope to be back soon! 👍

Relaxing cabin and a fantastic view

We stayed for 5 days and had a wonderful time. Vince was a great host and gave some great recommendations for dinner. The place was perfect. Our dog loved the deck which had a gate so we didn’t have to worry about her getting loose. We had dinner outside a few times and enjoyed the view of the mountain across the way. Vince has the best view of all the other houses on his mountain top. WiFi worked great as one of us had to work for 2 days. The pond and paths on the property are a great touch. The house was clean and well stocked. I think we got lost twice on our way back to the cabin during the five days we were there. The road is narrow at times but we only ran into another car about 3 times during our time there and it was easy to pull into a driveway or hug the side of the road to get out of the way. Highly recommend and would definitely return again!!!

Perfect Mother/Daughter getaway!

This house is so much better in person than the pictures show. Everything was just perfect and Vince is soooo sweet! He checked on us via text/phone and was so willing to help us with finding anything in town or in the house that we needed. We will definitely be returning. Thank you Vince!!!!

Outstanding views

We loved the views from the deck and the owner was very attentive to anything we asked for and even things we didn’t ask for. The morning coffee was outstanding watching the beautiful sunrises that happened while we were there. It is convenient to just about everything les than an hour’s drive to most attractions and mountain shops and casinos if you like that. Short drive into Murphy for food. I highly recommend this property for a weekend getaway or for a family vacation. Our kids loved tubing in Bryson City, NC about an hour’s drive. Vince was a great host. Enjoy your stay we did

Perfect getaway spot!

Vincent's chalet is a perfect getaway spot! We absolutely adored everything about our stay. Communication was great, Vincent is helpful and so kind. The chalet is easy to find and the roads up the mountain are all paved, we had no issues getting to the home. Upon arrival, there are lovely outdoor lights for ambience and security. The home is better than descrbed, the pictures don't do it justice. It was private while also feeling secure with other residents close by. It was quiet, calm, and serene. We enjoyed the large deck and spent most of our time outdoors enjoying the view! There is a lovely secondary deck downstairs if anyone needs a little outdoor space and privacy. The bed was comfortable and the home is very well stocked, we had everything we could possibly need for a long weekend. A nice bonus was covered parking, along the many other amenities of the property. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the chalet and we will be back!

Tranquil in Treetops

Just what we hoped! The right amenities, clean and roomy, all the kitchen gear we needed for our own cooking, comfy bedding, stunning views, solitude, sunrise vista from the bedroom, sunset just steps away, sipping on the deck, a short drive to great hiking trails. Perfection!
