This lake house was right on the water with beautiful view. We engaged with 2 minks who scooted across the rocky shoreline. Listening to loons was a first for us. We were comfortable and this place was a great homebase for us as we explored Maine for our very first time.

What a peaceful escape we will never forget. The still water, calm winds and beautiful views were so needed. Our stay gave us the opportunity to reset and slow down. Thank you for a wonderful spot to call home for the long weekend. Your home was lovely, very clean and had everything that we could need. Great stay

My stay at this house was absolutely wonderful! From the moment I arrived, I was struck by the beauty of the surroundings and the cozy, welcoming atmosphere. The house was spotless and well-equipped with everything I needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. I spent my mornings sipping coffee on the porch, taking in the peaceful views. The location is perfect for those looking to unplug and reconnect with nature, with plenty of trails and outdoor activities nearby at Acadia National Park. Overall, it was the perfect getaway for the family.

Perfect location for fun on the water

Our blended family had a great time here. The house was equipped with everything we needed. The hosts left s’mores supplies, which was a huge hit with the kids. We love to spend time on the water and enjoyed the kayaks, canoe and paddle board that the hosts allowed us to use.

"Best vacation ever"

"Best vacation ever" were the exact words my husband said as we were packing up. This was our first time visiting Maine and this house was everything we needed and more. Everything was clean, matched the description and pictures exactly, and all my questions were answered within a few minutes. The waterfront location was perfect for swimming, kayaking, or simply sitting and watching the ducks and loons. The location of the house was ideal for day trips to the surrounding areas of Maine- Acadia, Camden, Belfast, and a number of state parks. Thank you so much for the giving us the best vacation ever!

Lake Living

We had a great time and found all the comforts of home. Great wildlife, easy access to activities and Acadia, and just a relaxing lake stay. The water was warm, kayak and paddle board kept us busy, and great enclosed porch to enjoy the views. We would recommend this property and found the hosts to be excellent.

Fall stay

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at this location. Our daughter goes to a local college, and we came up for parents' weekend. The lake was a perfect mirror reflection when we took the canoe and kayaks out on our first day. The loons greeted us every day and we even saw one of them catch a fish! Our thanks to the Bishops for returning something we left behind very quickly. It was a very comfortable environment to relax.

Perfect family vacation

Our family of four stayed here. We had a wonderful time. The cottage is so cozy and charming. The kids spent much of the time enjoying the lake and the beautiful scenery. Just a fabulous time for everyone. Stay here. You won’t regret it!

Coziest Cabin you will ever encounter!

This property was a grand slam! 1. Location. Acadia and Bar Harbor are a reasonable and pleasant drive away, Ellsworth and Bucksport as well. 2. Accommodation. Coziest cabin you will ever encounter, with a three season room, a dock, kayaks, clean and comfortable beds. 3. Nature. Brewer Lake is beautiful amazing scenery that included loons, ducks, a chipmunk or two and even an otter. We loved our time here and the hosts were great.

Brewer Lake vacation

We enjoyed four days of beautiful Maine weather at this lovely cabin right on Brewer Lake. The house was extremely clean and well-provisioned, and accommodated our family group of six (three generations) well. We particularly enjoyed the kayaks and the canoe. We saw multiple loons up close while paddling and heard many more, especially at dusk. The nearby Audubon Center was an added bonus.

Cottage on Brewer Lake

Every year we rent a lake house for a week. This was the most beautiful lake we have stayed at so far. The water was beautiful and we saw so many loons. The cottage was ideal and we loved hanging out on the dock, kayaking and being inspired to paint and draw the lovely scenery. It was fun to explore Bangir as well. Perfect week get away!

So serene

Such a beautiful cabin. We loved playing on the lake and just watching the wild life. About 1.5hr from Bar Harbor and Acadia or shopping in Camden and Belfast. Enjoyed having a full kitchen to make lunch and dinner or the laundry machine to wash laundry. The girls loved taking the paddleboard and kayak around the lake. Even took an early morning kayak ride around the islands to explore. We will definitely be back.

Long weekend

For us its all about the lake. Once we arrived we didn’t leave until it was check out time. The weather and water temp were perfect. The cottage was clean and welcoming.

Located less than 9 miles from Bangor International Airport, 48 miles from Bar Harbor, and 53 miles from Cadillac Mountain at Acadia National Park. Enjoy a plethora of restaurants, bars, and shops located 7 miles with in the town of Brewer. Check out the featured guidebook located at our cottage which references many nearby points of interest.
