The cottage is over 1100 sq.ft. complete with the amenities of home. The main floor has a spacious living room with fireplace and TV, separate dining room with four chairs, full kitchen with eating bar and stools for convenience. The main bathroom is four piece, washer and dryer, main bedroom with king and second bedroom with twin beds. The loft has a TV, queen bed, with full bathroom.
The deck at the back is spacious with table and chairs for your evening enjoyment. The BBQ is on this deck. The front deck has a small table and chairs as well. There is a locked storage shed for bikes and golf clubs. The parking is in the driveway and in front of our cottage. There is internet and cable in the cottage.
A 15 minute walk brings you to beautiful Rathtrevor Beach, a 5minute walk to mini golf and bumper cars for the kids. Parksville city centre is 5 minutes by car. Coombs is a delightful place to visit to see the Goats on the Roof....at 30 minutes drive. Englishman River is a short drive for a lovely hike in the woods.

Wonderful

Our second stay at this home, over a month each time, was a wonderful place to make memories for a family get together! The well stocked and equipped kitchen was a joy and our grandkids really loved the access we had to the pool. The owners are very easy to work with and responded quickly if we connected with them.

Parksville Getaway

Cozy Cottage

Our family enjoyed an 18 day stay over the holidays at this very comfortable, cozy cottage. The hosts were on top of the communication, the space was great for 6 adults and the location was exceptional.

BEAUTIFUL COTTAGE!

Our stay at Falcons Rest was absolutely beautiful, comfortable, and felt like Home Away From Home! The cottage had everything we could ever need. A great kitchen, big dining table, cozy living room, and comfortable beds. Pat & Gene were also magnificent hosts. Certainly at 10/10 !! Thank you from Deb/Chris.

Peaceful and relaxing stay

Great location near beaches, other resorts and mini golf. Very quiet cabin and nice clean bedrooms. Couple of minor things that might matter to some renters - couches might be worn out and lack support so not super comfortable, patio wasn’t cleaned recently, couldn’t get TVs to work - printed instructions would have been helpful. Otherwise a great spot to base yourself to explore the area. Pool and toys are great for kids!

Parksville Stay 2024

All was great as far as the accommodation. No issues except the TV is on the small size and WiFi is slow. Amenities nearby are good, Pool Hot Tub jets didn’t work as they should (only circulating pump was best they could do).

Great quiet location for family stay

We enjoyed our multi- generational family stay in this well organized, clean home . The children’s toys and books in closet were a bonus. A mile walk to Rathtrevor beach through coastal forest. Quiet, safe neighborhood with pool, and minigolf recommend!

3 generations of family fun!

Lovely place! Lots of children around and our kids made friends! Beds very comfortable, well-appointed kitchen. Nice to have children’s books and games, and beach toys and chairs. Lots of fun!!!!! The beach was spectacular and we spent many hours playing and swimming at the beach. Kids loved the swimming pool. Thanks for the fans in the bedrooms!

Wonderful time!

We had a wonderful stay at Falcon rest. The place was clean and well equipped with everything we needed for our 6 days. We had our two little ones (1.5 and 3.5 yrs), and the place was perfect. There was a pack and play and some toys and books to keep them busy. The fenced in back deck was like a giant play pen, it was awesome. The location couldn’t be better, within 10 min of so much outdoor fun (beach, hikes, parks). We loved our stay, and Gene and Patricia were excellent hosts!

Cleanliness

The outside deck and furniture were covered in bird poop. The bbq was dirty and moldy. The toaster was filthy and falling apart. The dryer filter was caked with lint. The main house was clean and ridy. We were disappointed.

Fabulous!

This was the most amazing home for some of our family that came from Calgary and Australia to spend time with us! It was superbly stocked, set up so well and filled with extras that were perfect for a family with a 5 yr old and a 3 yr old and any adults. Toys and puzzles etc made the little ones feel at home.The owners were very easy to work with and we would be thrilled to rent this unit again if it is available. Having this home away from home for our visiting family helped make our Xmas a very special one!

Great vacation place

This property was great for our family vacation. It is well equipped for daily living and very comfortable. It was a quiet neighbourhood. The back deck was a great extension of the living space. Fans were in each room for when it got hot. Sand toys, a cooler and chairs to take to the beach were really appreciated. With children, ages 4 and 6, we drove to the Rathtrevor Park, just a few minutes away, which has a beautiful sandy beach. Great memories were created. Thanks Gene and Pat for providing a wonderful holiday home.

Remillard Short Stay

Overall the property was great. I hope you don't mind, but I cleared out the lazy susan cabinet for my own food. That would be my only suggestion - to leave one full cabinet empty for guests to use. Otherwise, the kitchen and bathrooms were well equipped. The fans were appreciated, although if we stayed there during a heat wave, it would be difficult. The kids lived in the pool - so that was a great feature. And parking for 2 vehicles is also much appreciated. Overall, I would stay here again for sure.

Resort home

The communication and check-in all worked great! The house was not exactly what we expected. It is spacious and has all the necessary utensils with two parking spots. However, the interior is much darker than the photos show. Also, one of the bedrooms is not in a separate room and is open to the living area and kitchen. Not ideal. The cleanliness of the main areas was good, but there were also spots like the bathroom vents that were completely dusty. The back deck was unusable because the deck, chairs and table were covered with resin from the tree. For the price everything was ok but could be improved and the photos should be adjusted to show the true light conditions.
