Beautiful Cabin on Peaceful Swan Lake!

Escape to this peaceful cabin tucked away “up north”! It is surrounded by a freshwater lake and the great outdoors. Family friendly, two level cabin with a magnificent view overlooking Swan Lake! Plenty of space for the whole family. It includes 3 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms and two spacious living spaces. Enjoy both the upper and lower level decks facing the lake. You’ll love cooking in the centrally located kitchen that has amazing views from every window!! Grilling outdoors is an option, as well as a fire pit down by the lake. Also on the property is dock space for your boat, we currently can provide a paddle board, kayak and 150’ of beautiful shoreline with a shallow, kid friendly shore. This area of the lake is a prime fishing spot and also offers a sandbar directly across from our property! Ice fishermen have great success too.

Come to relax and unwind, maybe enjoy a round of golf at the Swan Lake Country Club, take advantage of the hunting trails, 2,000 miles of groomed ATV & snowmobile trails, cross country ski trails, snowshoeing, and 132 miles of paved bicycle trail, all located less than 10 minutes away. Less than a 10 minute drive away, the Lone Pine Community Center offers tennis courts, a basketball court and a baseball field for you and your friends to play in a friendly game or two. Whether it’s winter or summer, you will find plenty to do in this great location! It’s all about relaxing, enjoying and experiencing the great outdoors!
So how remote is Pengilly? Actually, just twenty minutes away you will find all the shopping you will need, and smaller towns are even closer!

To ensure safety of guests and property there are two security cameras running 24/7. One is placed at the front door to monitor the front entrance & driveway while the other is on the detached lower garage monitoring the back entrance as well as the yard. Please do not interfere or tamper with either device- thank you! In addition, the “jet” tub on main level is not in use as the jets have been broken, but it still functions perfectly as a regular soaking tub. Also, the upstairs fireplace is not in use- its merely decorative at this point in time!

Great time with friends and family

We very much enjoyed our stay at this wonderful property. It was very clean, the kitchen was well appointed, and the view was spectacular. We especially enjoyed our time in the water. We hope to stay here again.

Great place for our family and the views were spectacular! The home was clean and the check-in/check-out procedure was a breeze. Would definitely come again. My parents loved the two porches and the little ones loved the open areas in the home to play freely.

Fantastic, relaxing family getaway with everything you need!

We had two families stay and the cabin setup was perfect. There was nothing that we needed except our personal essentials and food. The cleanliness of the cabin was also an A+. We would all highly recommend!

Swan Lake stay

Our stay was great. My family enjoy the property and fishing. Paddle boarding was enjoyed even by the little ones. There was a pesty bear who enjoyed our garbage. We did not see it, but wanted to.

Great relaxing getaway

My group of 6 guys on a weekend golf getaway had a great time at the cabin. Plenty of room for all of us and our vehicles, and a great location on the Lake. We enjoyed the firepit during the evening, and the cabin was in great condition and very clean. Owner was always quick to answer any questions we had, and was extremely easy to work with. The only issue I would mention is that the upper deck could probably use some minor repairs. All in all it was a great cabin for us, and would book again if I was in the area.

Lake time

Great view of the lake with a rainbow. The fishing was slow. The lake water is transparent making it harder to catch fish. Enjoyed the lakeside fireplace. The house was very spacious and clean.

Relaxing Swan Lake

We had a great time at the house and on Swan Lake. There ware 9 of us, age range 75-12. House worked great. You need to use steps a lot, so if you have trouble with steps, it might not be a good fit. Great lake for water sports, lots of room. Did get busy starting Friday afternoon, but there was still room for skiing and tubing. Fishing was ok. Lots of northerns. But did catch a couple walleyes. Caught nice sunfish off the dock. We had enough fish for a fish fry one night.

Family snowmobile trip

This property worked well for family of 5. 2 adults and 3 kids. Snowmobile vacation. We were able to ride directly onto the lake and up to the gas station that's only a couple miles up. The lot was plenty big enough for my truck and 29' enclosed trailer. This cabin has very nice modern appliances and it's well furnished throughout. The master bedroom bed is extremely cozy! The master bathroom is fairly odd though. Only real complaints would be the showers are small, the jet tub didn't work, and the hot water heater must have been on it's lowest temp setting. Would definitely still recommend staying here though!

Family that stayed at this rundown shack

Basically went to this place outside. Appearance was fantastic. Tried to work with the owner of the property. There was a dog in the property that took two days rectify my not even two Year old daughter could not even play outside because the owner did not handle it. We had to call the sheriff. To have the dog removed. OK, well that could be understandable, but the top deck was completely rotted to the point to where where my son walked on the upstairs deck we were underneath it and Wood was following down on us. I took videos and pictures of this which made the top deck completely useless, the biggest safety concern on the property is that the upstairs sliding door which there are four of had a note broken we told them that we had a not even two year-old daughter. The slats on the back upstairs balcony are over 4 inches which my daughter could’ve walked right through especially since the back patio door would not lock as well as the stairs inside the house they used to be provisions to keep children from following down. There was nothing there. The fireplace also did not work you should not be able to post that you have a fireplace and then it not work right there was a bike that somebody dumped on the road and we moved it onto the ditch and now they want us to pay to have it dumped. We were requesting a $500 refund and they are trying to charge us $100 saying that we have left the place in disrepair, we have always gotten good reviews from staying at peoples places

We had such an amazing time staying here. Even though it rained most of the stay we loved our time just hanging out in the cabin. We will definitely go back to enjoy the lake/outdoors next year hopefully! (: 1000% RECOMMEND!

This lovely family home offers everything you could hope to experience in Northern Minnesota from the great outdoors and the opportunity to be one with nature to the quant little towns located only 20 minutes away. The lake itself covers 2,116 acres and offers a sand bar which sits directly across the lake from our property. If you're looking for food and/or entertainment near by check out MJ's, a family bar and restaurant which offers docks for you to boat to as well as parking for your vehicle. In addition, there are bike paths, tennis and basketball courts, golf course and a baseball field all located right in Pengilly! The home itself comfortably sleeps 8 and offers two spacious living areas with magnificent views of the lake!
