Great location
Nice house. Older but very affordable.
Best ice machine ever !!!!!!
A/C had a hard time keeping the house cool upstairs but there were several fans.
Nice open concept with plenty of seating area for eating, playing games and doing puzzles.

Location was awesome. Half the lights didnt work, bathroom doors didnt lock, sink was clogged and dishwasher didnt work and leaked all over the floor. Toilets where filthy. Didnt give you enough towels and wash clothes so.we had.to.wash everyday in.a.washer that sounded like the bearing was about to.come out and had.to.dry 3 times to.get towels dry.

Property needs work
Property had some cleanliness and safety issues (unsafe deck). Rental management staff was terrific responding. Hope what we paid for maid service was used for the next renters.

could have been better
The price is right for a 7 bedroom house on the beach but the house was NOT ready for rental. It was not clean (sandy floors, dirty bathrooms, crumbs in kitchen, bad and dangerous decking, mildewy basement. Other problems, all of which can be fixed if desired and the rent could actually be upped.

Family Vacation
Primarily the property was fine. The location was perfect the living space was perfect and overall we had a really good time. However there were several issues that should be addressed by the owner. The overall appearance of the property was nice. But the house itself needs some TLC. Lots of little things however distracted from the experience. The property needs some TLC in maintenance, painting and wallpaper, even kitchen appliances. Most of it was relatively minor mostly just distracting. However one major problem appeared on the night we were preparing to leave the next day. The downstairs rooms had some serious mold problems that did not appear initially but became apparent when stripping the beds. We reported this to the office via email but have not heard anything as of yet. The upstairs was fine but the downstairs rooms need to be addressed quickly.

Jolly Roger 3 - Pluses and Minuses
Plus: Good location. Convenient to bridge but some distance away from public beach access. Lots of open space on main floor. Lots of seating for group meals. Lots of brand new decks!
Minus: 3 bedrooms on ground floor are great for kids BUT there are no internal stairs to access them. (Not clear in property description). Kitchen supplies were lacking. Could have used a couple of large frying pans along with some baking pans. Not a single 9x13 pan to be had. Didn't have a single t-spoon for the kids; just soup spoons. AC had a difficult time keeping up with the daytime temps.
Overall: We've been vacationing at HB for over 35 years. This property was pretty good but could stand for some relatively easy updates.

The location is stunning with views from the terrace across the Lake and down on the lovely hillside village of Nesso. We had a great 3 week stay in the quirky house, where Mira the house manager was more than helpful and available if required. The house is well equipped if you choose to cook, though we didn’t. We felt that the indoor and outdoor furniture could have been more comfortable, including the main double bed.There are 2 well stocked mini markets quite close by 100-200m down the steps, 2 bars about the same distance and a restaurant an easy 300m walk - open for dinner and some lunches, others are lower down the steep village hill.Nesso is a pretty and quaint village, but very very hilly. The walk down the very steep steps and alleyways to the ferry port, Google estimated at 17mins. Coming back up was quite hard for two quite fit seniors, requiring rest breaks along with other tourists.The roads on the Nesso side of the lake to Como or Bellagio are very narrow. As an experienced driver in Italy, our Fiat Panda was about the largest car I would drive there. 15km to Como often took 30mins mostly in 3rd gear. Equally the little road from the main road to the private car park was less than 2m wide, (there is a warning sign at the turn in) with very few (but some) passing places. Car parking spaces around the different levels of the windy road through Nesso are at a premium. We never found one in the 3 weeks stay in early June. It’s a great for exploring the Lake.

Nice. But needs updating
The actual space and beach access are nice. The interior of the house is in need of an update. Peeling wallpaper, shower issues, loose door knobs, and an older HVAC that can’t keep up. The main floor of the house stayed at 75 at its coolest, and went up to 84 by the evening. We called the office and an HVAC guy came out, looked at it, worked on it , but didn’t an update to anyone before leaving. Keeping bedroom doors closed made sleeping comfortable, bring your own towels, beach chairs, dish soap etc…. Only sheets are provided.
