Popular dining spots in the neighborhood include Xiao Bao Biscuit, Fuel, Porchetta Shop, Southbound, R Kitchen, Chubby Fish and many more! Our guests and neighbors also rave about Welton's Tiny Bakeshop and Kudu Coffee. We recommend going to either for a cup of locally-roasted coffee or their delicious cookies and cakes. The house is only a short walk from the very popular King Street where you will find a multitude of great shops ā€“ including antique shops, book stores and fashion boutiques ā€“ as well as endless buzzing restaurants and bars.

You can walk almost everywhere - but should you want to rest your feet, there are many other options for getting around: Uber, Lyft, Charleston Bike Taxi, Charleston Rickshaw, Green Taxi or Yellow Cab.

The host was very welcoming and gave great tourist information. The house is absolutely charming, decorated beautifully, clean and located in a great location! No complaints, will definitely stay here again. You can tell the owner was very intentional and thought about everything a guest could need for a great stay. Thanks again!

Lovely place in a nice location within a short walk to King Street. The beds were very comfortable, and the living room was a great hangout space. The only issue was that there was a lot of construction going on in the area and the walls were quite thin, so it got very noisy, even at night.

This was a lovely old house, with a few of the issues that old houses have. It was very clean and comfortably furnished with modern appliances. But like all old houses, the steps lean a bit and the floor and the deck are not perfectly flat. But it was a great neighborhood close to dozens of restaurants and shops. And the beds were comfortable.

Great stay in this charming historic home. The location was super convenient, and the space was cool and comfortable despite the summer heat plenty of fans and AC. The host was very attentive and responsive. There was some nearby construction, but I expected that from past reviews. Overall, a smooth and enjoyable experience!

Good location

The place was easy to locate with parking in the back. Lots of places to eat and shop in walking distance. Not super teen friendly but we did find ice-cream parlors.

The host was very responsive and friendly, we super appreciated being able to check in a little early to drop our bags. The location is wonderful, short walk to lots of shops & restaurants and very short drive to other areas, including the historic district. The home was spacious and beds comfortable. There was coffee supplied and a little corner store just 1 clock away to grab milk, snacks, etc. There were toiletries provided (shampoo, conditioner, body wash) and a washer/dryer with laundry pods (we did not use) and dish washer. There is one large bedroom downstairs and two upstairs. Note the two full baths are both downstairs. But water pressure good! This unit is located at the top of some steep stairs up from the street. So be aware for lugging bags or if you have mobility issues. We really did enjoy it but couldnā€™t do 5 or 4 stars (wish I could say 3.5) because there is so much construction around the house. I booked several months ago and thought maybe it would be done but these are big ongoing projects. The house directly behind this one is being renovated and then what looks to be a large complex is another block back. It is LOUD! But the street noise is also very loud, feels like people on the street are in the room with you. Iā€™d wake up and check the window because it sounded so close like someone was on the porch. There is also a very large metal plate out front that is noisy. 2 sound machines and ear plugs couldnā€™t drown it out. Couldnā€™t sleep.

Charleston VRBO

This was a great place to stay! It was within walking distance of great restaurants and excursions. Very clean and comfortable. I will say that we only had 2 teaspoons for 5 people so we had to take turns eating breakfast. The picture shows a Kuerig on the countertop, but when we arrived there was no Kuerig, just a regular coffemaker. Other than that, it was a very enjoyable place to stay.

Cute house in a great location

The flat is very comfortable and updated. Easy walk to upper King Street, bars, restaurants and shops. Coffee cafe next door. Plan on an Uber to the French Quarter area. Overall it was a great stay for our sister in law getaway weekend.

We came over spring break to tour College of Charleston. The house was perfect for our family of 6. We had plenty of space and the house was in a fantastic location, close to everything!

Great girls weekend !

This was the perfect place to stay for a girls weekend with friends . Only complaints was the bathroom had a terrible smell. (Possibly sewer gas.) And we we driving a Yukon Denali and the parking is VERY a tight. But the home itself was clean and had lots of character . Great location.

Historic home in historic neighborhood

We stayed one night here and really enjoyed the property. We had 4 small kids and 4 adults and stayed comfortably. The only challenge was they only have 1 parking spot per rental and we had 2 cars. My parents ended up parking down the street but we were able to shuttle them back to the house in our car.
