Villa Zarpe is pure luxury with jaw dropping ocean views. This 4 bedroom, 5 and half bath villa overlooking the Gulf of Papagayo has every imaginable amenity! The incredible infinity edge pool and therapeutic spa are just the start. Large floor-to-ceiling windows throughout bring the stunning beauty to your door. Villa Zarpe has luxurious, custom made furniture and offers two master suites – one with a tub, and two over-sized bedrooms with two full beds in each. All rooms offer amazing views and a terrace or balcony. There is an indoor/outdoor sound system, office space, a movie viewing room, WIFI and Bluetooth throughout. The chef’s kitchen offers Viking appliances. There is even a state-of-the-art water filtration system to include reverse osmosis that produces commercial quality drinking water. Daily breakfast with eggs to order, coffee, juice, fresh fruit, meat and toast is included in price. Dietary restrictions can be accommodated. Full maid service including laundry and nighttime security guard are also included in price. (Tips are customary for the staff)We are also happy to assist with any tours, spa treatments, private chef services and airport transfers not included in the price.

Everything about our vacation was amazing! Breakfast every morning by Erika was a delight, Carlos helped with everything we needed, and Tomato took us on all of our adventures!! The host, Kristi, was quick to respond and very helpful with instructions and recommendations. This is probably the most beautiful house I will ever stay in...highly recommend!!

Our family of five had a wonderful stay at Villa Zarpe. Booking was very easy and Kristi (the owner) reached out with helpful info immediately. The views from the house are definitely amazing and the staff absolutely shines. We had so much fun listening to stories from Carlos the house manager, eating Erica's delicious breakfasts every morning, and appreciated Nelson watching the property (and helping Erica). Tomato is so fun - he organized our activities and took us to/from the airport. The house itself is stocked with so many fun games to play, the beds were incredibly comfortable and the pool deck provides a great place to hang out and read all day. While there's not a lot to walk to from the house itself, our family did walk down (and back up!) to Father Rooster's beach side restaurant three times during our stay - we loved it! We'd highly recommend staying at Villa Zarpe.

A Truly Unforgettable Family Vacation – Even Better Than the Photos!

This house is absolutely amazing—far better than the pictures can capture—and the view is simply spectacular. I visited with my wife and our two nine-year-olds, and we couldn’t be happier with our decision to stay here.Not knowing exactly where to go in Costa Rica made the planning process a bit challenging, but this home turned out to be the perfect choice. The host was incredibly helpful and connected us with Tomato Adventures. After just a short phone call with Tomato, I canceled our rental car and let him handle everything—and I’m so glad I did!Tomato picked us up at the Liberia airport and drove us to the house, which is less than an hour away. Upon arrival, Carlos, the property caretaker, warmly greeted us and walked us through everything we needed to know about the home. He then went grocery shopping for us, which was a huge help.Every morning, Carlos and Erica came to the house, and Erica prepared an amazing breakfast and tidied up, making our stay even more comfortable and relaxing.Tomato also gave us a fantastic overview of all the local activities and booked several incredible adventures for our family—ziplining, horseback riding, ATV tours, rainforest hikes, surfing, and more. He even coordinated all the transportation and arranged for delicious lunches during our outings.The ziplining, mountain waterslide, and horseback riding tour was our best day—an absolute must!One of the great things about this home is that it's a bit out of the way, which makes it fee

75th Birthday Celebration

When I first walked into the home, it took my breath away. The view from the home over looking the infinity pool and the ocean was spectacular. It was my 75th birthday celebration and I was greeted with a beautiful bouquet of flowers provided by the host.The home was perfect for the 11 of us. All four bedrooms have balconies with an ocean view. We each had our privacy yet with a large common area for the family to congregate. The host recommended a tour guide named “Tomato”, who arranged and drove us to our many tours. He was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and helpful.Enjoying a delicious breakfast each morning was really special. Erika made pancakes, French toast, fresh fruit and eggs to order each morning and cleaned our rooms daily and even did our laundry when needed.

Best in Class

We were at Villa Zarpe for one fabulous week. From the very beginning, Kristi, the owner was very helpful and quick to respond to any questions we had about the house or surrounding area. Her recommendation to use Tomato from Tomato’s Adventures to book our excursions was a great one. He has connections to fabulous guides and arranged 4 excursions for us. He was our driver to all of them as well as transporting us to local restaurants for dinner. We did not rent a car. Tomato can do it all. The house staff, Erica and Nelson, prepare a wonderful, huge breakfast every morning and keep the house spotless. Carlos the house manager was available to run small errands like getting groceries and helping us deliver beach chairs to the beach and back, as it is a steep climb back up hill from the beach to the Villa. We were a family of 7–3 adult boys and two of them had their SO’s with them along with my husband and I. Perfect house layout for us and the house is exactly as pictured. You will never want to leave the beautiful view from the pool. Great place for morning coffee and evening cocktail. Johan, the recommend chef came twice and prepared fabulous meals. No cooking, no clean up, and an exceptional meal for a very reasonable price. Treat yourself to this outstanding house, services and beautiful country. Pura Vida !!

Amazing!!!!!

The home is spectacular! The view is amazing! We hung out in the pool just staring at the beautiful view. The house has everything you need…including the best ice machine on the pool deck. Everyone needs a TOMATO! He was great! I advise having him pick you up at the airport! Driving is tough! He helped with driving, a great day of offshore fishing…caught a sail fish and a day of ATV riding. Each morning we looked forward to Erica’s breakfast. Best pancakes I have ever had!!! The entire trip was a treat for our family of four! Amazing place to celebrate the holidays. So thankful! PURA VIDA!

Beautiful property.. amazing views!

This property is nothing short of beautiful. The view overlooking the infinity pool is stunning. Kristi was such a great resource and responded very quickly with any questions or concerns. Carlos was always available on site for any needs. Let me tell you about Erica.. she is so lovely.. and will ensure your breakfast is ready when you want it! My only critic is the jacuzzi pool was certainly not jacuzzi temps. We had addressed this with Carlos and he stopped by several times. It would feel warmer temporarily and than cool quite quickly. Other than that.. no complaints! Would recommend to anyone wanting to visit the area.

Ultimate Relaxation

Have always been interested in Costa Rica which is known for relatively in-expensive access to luxury, eco-diversity and plant and animal conservations, and finally it's friendly and relaxed atmosphere. It is all that and more, and if you are visiting Guanacaste or nearby, Villa Zaparte is perfection. I have not been that relaxed in a very long time and truly easily got away from it all!!! Highly recommended by very experienced world traveler.

Fantastic Property and Experience!

We are very seasoned international travelers and our Villa Zarpe experience was by far the best vacation we have ever had. The property itself is exquisite -- ocean view, immaculately clean, beautifully decorated and conveniently located to restaurants and services. But the real difference was the experience provided by our hosts Kristi and Sean and the local onsite staff. Carlos was present each day to be sure all of our needs were being met, Erika and Nelson made us delicious breakfasts every morning and kept the house spotless, even doing laundry for us every day (whether we asked or not!), and Tomato took us on four spectacular tours that were a great value, amazing experiences, and delivered with personal service and good cheer. We also looked forward to the daily visits of Douglas the Cat, and Sean very thoughtfully sent us a bottle of champagne to celebrate our stay, which was a lovely and unexpected surprise that reflects the owners' commitment to providing a world-class experience in every respect. We think of the Villa Zarpe team as a part of our family and the real-life embodiment of the Costa Rican theme of "Pura Vida." Every element of our stay with them was outstanding, and we greatly look forward to our next visit to see them!

AMAZING Vacation!

Villa Zarpe is amazing! Everything exceeded our expectations. The house is fabulous and the view is mesmerizing. We had two families (4 adults and 6 teenagers) - the house was ideal for us. It is clean, modern and nicely appointed. We spent most of our time at home around the pool. The best part about this villa is the team of Ericka, Nelson and Carlitos. We are already missing Ericka's wonderful breakfast each morning. She and Nelson are a great team - keeping us full, happy and safe. We had Ericka make dinner for us twice - it was a perfect way to enjoy the local cuisine in a beautiful setting. There is so much to do in this area and the location of Villa Zarpe is central to everything. We wouldn't change a thing!!

Paradise!!!

This was the most spectacular home we’ve ever stayed in. All the details are taken care of. Breakfast is amazing and Ericka is fantastic (really beyond all expectations). Security was top notch, not that you thought you needed it. Very safe location. Carlos was beyond helpful, helping with groceries and other requests we had. Everyone was so attentive. The owner recommended transportation with a great company who then helped plan our entire trip including many adventures, even including a PROPOSAL!!! Tomato (transportation and activity guru, and comedian) was outstanding throughout our entire visit. The home was just incredible. We saw so many parrots and other birds. The pool and hot tub - incredible. The view - couldn’t be better. Literally a picture of paradise. Thank you so much! We never want to leave!!

Five Star Villa with a View!

I can't say enough good things about our stay at this house. It is even more beautiful in person and exceptionally well maintained: well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds and couches and lounge chairs, plenty of pillows, snacks... everything you could possibly want. The view is incredible - we saw whales in the bay, sunsets were spectacular from the hot tub, and birdwatching was fantastic. Erica (the cook / house cleaner) is lovely and made us delicious breakfast every morning. Her husband Nelson is equally lovely and provides security at night. Kristi was highly responsive and her recommendations were terrific. * We hired Johann to cook a meal for us, and my son said it was the best steak he'd ever eaten. And Johann went above and beyond and made a special meal for my very picky vegetarian daughter that she loved! * Tomato arranged two sightseeing excursions for us: jet skiing (he ensured we had bi-lingual guides) and zip lining. He has a wealth of knowledge about the area and is just a wonderful person. The only two things to be aware of (though they would not prevent us from coming back): 1) the road to the house and the driveway itself are steep - our minivan could only make it up the steep sections with the AC off 2) the curtains in the upstairs bedrooms don't extend to the ceiling, so it gets a bit bright in the mornings But don't let that deter you - this home defined 5 star vacation rental for us and was the best one we have ever stayed in!

Watson Family Vacation 12/20/23

Our family decided to make memories for Christmas this year instead of buying presents for each other. We had a family of 9. The house is exactly like the pictures. Everything was perfect from Erica our cook, Nelson our security, & Tomato’s adventures for our excursions. We will definitely be planning future trips and staying here. Beautiful Home!

My family had an amazing time at this beautiful home! The view was just incredible! Everything in the home was just as described. The homeowner responded quickly to any requests and provided great recommendations for excursions and restaurants in the area! House manager helped with check in and was always available if we had questions. Morning breakfast prepared by Erika and Nelson was one of the highlights! We used Tomato for an ATV trip which was lots of fun and spent a day on a private sailboat. We also had a chef prepare dinner one night which was outstanding! The nearby town of Coco had many restaurants, shops and bars. We can't wait to return to this beautiful home one day!

Can’t wait to come back!

Had an amazing stay and can’t wait to come back. Owners respond almost immediately and the home and view are stunning. The hospitality team, Ericka and Nelson are the cherry on top. I wish I could have put them in my bag and brought them to Florida with me. The breakfast was delicious and overall attentiveness second to none. Also hired Rosa and her staff for all of our massages, 7 at a time, twice and also had Gaby from Rosas salon come and do our nails another day and was better than any manicure I have ever gotten in the US. Seriously had a great time and can’t wait to go back to Villa Zarpe. Had amazing views from EVERYWHERE

Stunning views!

This experience did not disappoint! The house is beautiful with views from every bedroom. The view from pool deck was hard to leave when it was time to end our trip!! Erica and Nelson took great care of us. What a treat to have breakfast prepared daily as well as having laundry and house cleaned daily so when we returned from outings the home was spotless. We took advantage of the recommendation for a chef to cook two meals. They truly were delicious! Highly recommend Johan if you are considering a chef experience. Overall, the week at Villa Zarpe was amazing. Should we return to Costa Rica, there is no other place we would chose to stay.

We loved this house!

We had a fabulous stay at Villa Zarpe! The views were spectacular during the day and the stars amazing at night! Erica, Nelson and their son were wonderful and we really enjoyed the daily breakfast and laundry. The house was spotless and every bedroom and bathroom had lots of space and stunning views. We enjoyed the warm evenings on the patio playing giant Jenga and other games. We had a couple of great adventure days with Tomato tours and a private chef came in multiple nights - all recommended by the owners. Five star experience. Highly recommend.

Gorgeous property!

This is a one-of-a-kind Villa with a view to die for! The location was ideal for us - and close to a few wonderful restaurants. The Villa is very well equipped. We enjoyed the Costa Rican welcome and the warmth of the people. Carlos, Erica and Nelson looked after us and were so kind. Loved our first vacay in Costa Rica and this amazing Villa!

Great House (View is second to none)

Walking in the front door the first thing you see is the view out the back - amazing. We had a party of 6 (me, my wife, two teenagers and two of their friends). Everyone had their space. Kids spent the days outside (when not on excursions) on the pool deck and nights in the upstairs TV area playing games - they loved that area. Check-in was a breeze and the house has everything you could possibly need (including beach chairs, coolers, multiple ice machines, etc.). What really put this house over the top was Ericka and Nelson. Having Ericka greet us each morning and make breakfast was great. The house was cleaned everyday as well. We were able to look past the fact the Owners are Georgia Bulldog fans (we are Gators and Canes) - luckily for them, my father was a Georgia Bulldog - so they are our second favorite SEC team:). Highly recommend this house.
