Wonderful Stay

Had a great time staying at Casa 9. The home is magnificent. Only things worth pointing out is that it's a bit of a ways from the downtown Jaco strip. There's also alot of associated cost on top of the VRBO pricing which would probably be a bit clearer if included directly. Other than this communication was great and the staff was even better. I'd totally recommend and will be back when traveling to Jaco.

Very accommodating

Marcel runs the property. Can’t speak highly enough about him. Very professional, hardworking and eager to please. Marcel made the entire process and vacation stress free and very enjoyable. When I come back to Costa Rica I will undoubtably stay at one of his houses again.

Pura Vida- living our best life

The property was perfect for our family group of 11, this property is very private and just away from the busy town of Jaco. We rode horses on the beach and watch a Friday night surf competition at Hermosa. I highly recommend the chef program!! We are going to have to find a chef back now. Staff was very polite and Marcel was always available to help with any activities or transportation. Best trip ever!

Luxurious Accomodations

This house was epic! Very clean, comfortable, and right on the ocean. Marcel, the concierge, was very helpful for our whole stay in Costa Rica and arranged transportation for us throughout our whole trip (even outside of the days we stayed at this house). There was a housekeeper that worked at the house during the day - which was far beyond any service I had ever experienced in a house rental. The house is pretty remote, so it is perfect if you are looking to relax and hang out at the ocean or private pool at the house. The sunset views were incredible. We had a lovely stay!

Felt like Paradise!

My stay at this property was nothing short of amazing! From the time I booked it the property manager and Geoff were very attentive and making sure they communicated everything up front and set expectations before arriving to make sure everything went as smooth as possible. When we arrived, we literally felt like we were in paradise. We were picked up in style from the airport, everyone’s pick up times were accommodated with no problems by the property manager and we were waited on hand and foot every second after arriving. The pictures do the house no justice, it’s huge, clean and beautiful with so many amenities you really don’t need to leave the house. Perfect location, not too far from the city but still in a safe and secluded area where you’re not near a lot of commotion. The property manager arranged everything for us, chef, personalized bday dinner with decor and cake for my birthday, massages at the home, excursions, grocery delivery and everything else we needed so that made the trip so much easier and very personalized. This is the best trip I’ve ever been on and the best property I’ve ever stayed at, my friends agree as well. My fiancé is even planning for us to return for our wedding, that is how wonderful the stay was! I would recommend staying here 100000%.

Spring Break trip April 2025

The house is beautiful, and the staff is wonderful. They went out of their way to make it a wonderful trip.I was concerned because there were no recent reviews for the home. It is listed as oceanfront - which it is - however when we arrived we were informed that you can not swim in the ocean in front of the property. As the price we paid reflected that of an ocean front property, this was very disappointing, and caused disruption in our plans. The bathrooms in the two oceanfront rooms do not have doors. This is not relayed in the listing, and caused an issue for us, as we had our teenage daughter sleeping on the extra bed in our room, and it made using the shower and toilet uncomfortable.The kitchen was very disappointing. There were not potholders, measuring cups, the cookware is in terrible condition, the knives are not even close to sharp, and the oven broke while we were there. The concierge was very responsive, sent measuring cups, and sent a countertop oven because they could not fix the one in the kitchen. Overall it is a beautiful property, but for the amount we paid, not being able to use the beach and the condition of the kitchen were very disappointing.

Just amazing

We had the most wonderful time. We stayed for 2 weeks - 7 of us - the property is immaculate - the pictures don’t really do it justice - massive cathedral ceilings giving this great sense of space - 4 spacious bedrooms - beautiful pool - right on the Hermosa beach with the biggest most consistent waves I’ve seen. However the best thing about the property is the property manager - Askel -she is truly exceptional. From advising and arranging excursions in advance, to making late changes, for staying connected and really gong the extra mile - she was awesome. Fantastic family holiday - as much as adventure as you like, as much chill out as you like, highly recommended

Best vacation ever!

This was the perfect house in a perfect setting. We couldn't have asked for a nicer place to stay, pictures do not do this house justice! Usually there is a glitch or two anytime with renting a house either the check in process or finding your way etc... We did NOT experience any problems whatsoever. We loved every minute of this stay. Thank you, we will be back!!

Great spot, beautiful house.

Great spot and great surf right out front. Woke up everyday to perfect waves and then a soak in the hot tub before lunch. Had a chef come in a couple night which was amazing and had a yoga instructor come in a few days for some private yoga with my wife. Loved every minute and the staff and house manager was fantastic. Thank you for a great trip!

Amazing House

The property was amazing. Much more spacious and luxurious than the pictures show. Modern with very high ceilings. Extremely well furnished and comfortable. We only had 5 in our party but the house can easily accomodate 8 or more. The back deck and pool area with the ocean just beyond was perfect for chilling and watching the crashing waves. The kitchen was top notch and we had a chef prepare meals for us each night during our stay. It was also nice that the property was a short cab ride away from Jaco, in the middle of a National Refuge. Very peaceful and quiet. Everything from check in to check out went smoothly and there is 24 hour security for the gated community. The property manager was always easily available and extremely helpful. She was able to arrange for our activities and transportation, as well as stock the house with groceries prior to our arrival. The owner even reached out to us to take care of a minor issue after our flight was delayed. Overall, a wonderful property and stay. Will definitely stay here again the next time we visit the Puentarenas area of Costa Rica.

Absolutely Beautiful!!

I can't say enough about the beauty of this property! The pictures do not do this property justice! The bedrooms are so comfortable and waking up to the sound and visual of ocean waves was breathtaking! Relaxing in the pool was our favorite part time. Our concierge Askel was so beyond helpful with everything from transportation to excursion suggestions and reservations. We were very sad we had to leave and can't wait to come back. Thank you for a beautiful experience! Pura Vida Costa Rica!!💕💕
