Our guest home of 1600 sf offers 2 bedrooms with king beds and a lounge area off one bedroom. There is a fully equipped kitchen with full size stove, refrigerator, microwave and all small appliances you might need. A dining table seats 6-8 and there are 5 bar stools at the counter. There are two bath areas, one with a toilet and vanity and a separate bath with shower/tub and vanity. A Fire TV and wireless internet service with a work area set up for use.
The guest home is on the host property, where the host's home and classic car restoration business are located. It is at the base of Greenhorn Mountain with a view of Badito Cone in southern Colorado. The windows and deck offer 180 degree views of our southern mountains, including Spanish Peaks, Silver Mountain, Rough Mtn., Mt. Mestas, Sheep and Little Sheep. The Sangre Cristo mountain range is to the west. Wonderful hiking is at the ready going up the mountain from the house. Within 30 minutes you will have Cuchara Mountain Park which offers a variety of activities, and if enough snow, skiing and sledding. Lathrop Lake State Park is about 20 minutes away where you can fish and swim, as well as play golf at the course there. Hay fields and the Huerfano River are across the highway and wildlife are often observed. We are 20 minutes from groceries and hardware, and hospital services.
