Very popular destination Great Sand Dunes National Park is a 69 mile drive. Casita is a perfect distance as there are not many other options for stops along the way or coming back.

Conveniently located just minutes to Lathrop State Park and Martin Lake/Horseshoe Lake/Walsenburg Golf Course, Spanish Peaks Regional Health Center and Veterans Hospital are 2 miles away. Local destinations: Walsenburg is a 6 minute drive. La Veta is 15 a minute drive, Cuchara and other attractions like Cuchara Mountain Park are an easy drive up Highway of Legends Scenic Byway. The Casita is on a property with 1.5 acres of land and set back from the road. County roads are well maintained in the area and our little community is sprinkled with similar plots of land.
