Completely Updated Waterfront Escape with a Hot Tub Ready For Family and Friends

Amazing sunsets on a world renowned fishing lake! Whether you want to enjoy the porch views of the lake, fish your weekend away or enjoy water sports on Sam Rayburn this house will exceed your expectations. Situated on over an acre on a secluded peninsula near famous fishing coves with expansive views of the lake this retreat offers something for everyone.
The house is completely renovated and updated offering 3 bedrooms all with king sized beds plus a twin bunk in one room. The open floor plan reveals lake views from the living room, kitchen and master bedroom. A large porch off of the living room is perfect for evening sunset views. Additionally a covered porch is found off of the kitchen for protection from weather if needed. A large grassy lawn leads you to the waterfront where thereā€™s a gradual lake entrance for those young at heart that want to play in the water. Pull your boat onto the beach area and come inside for a quick lunch before returning to lake fun.
The kitchen is fully stocked with all of your cooking needs. There is a keurig coffee maker in addition to a traditional coffee maker.
The living room has a 60 inch 4K television. The master has a 50 inch 4K television. Thereā€™s also a 42 inch 4K TV in one of the guest rooms. While internet is not available youā€™ll find that your cell phones work well due to the excellent lake location.
After an amazing lake day enjoy a campfire or come inside for a game of pool or ping pong. Additionally, there are family games and movies to watch. Finally, get a good night rest in one of the plush beds so you can start the next day ready for more fun!
All linens and towels provided. Extensive cleaning measures are taken for your safety.
Please note that like most homes on the lake our house has well water. Measures have been taken to reduce the normal odors well water can produce but you might notice a different smell with the hot water. Itā€™s very safe for bathing and washing clothes and is clear but we recommend that you do not drink well water. Bottled water for drinking is provided.

Loved the access to the water!!! House is 3 bedroom so good for smaller group/family. Very quiet where it is and we loved it- no loud parties beside us. It was perfect spot!

Hidden Gem in the San Augustine forest.

Beautiful location on the pristine shoreline of Sam Rayburn that can meet everyones needs from swimming to fishing. This updated property will not disappoint. Bring your kayaks, floats and boats and be ready for a good time. Property is very well maintained and clean inside and out. Great end of the summer get away.

I thought the time we stayed was really nice. I bet it would have been better in warmer weather. The only suggestion I have is there needs to be a blind or curtain put on the window in the master bath.

July 4th trip

We all had a blast at the house. We spent majority of our time out in the boat. But also loved the house. It is exactly what you see in the pictures. Very big yard for plenty of parking. We brought our boat and pulled our Polaris Ranger with plenty of room in the front yard to back up and turn around in. It was very nice to walk in the back yard down to the lake to enjoy. We will be back.

Perfect place on the lake!

This house was the perfect location on the lake with the large shallow area that's great for young kids to play! We had a little trouble finding it since there is no road sign on the actual house road, so be sure to look at the directions that are provided by the owner. The house itself was so nice and had everything we needed. We enjoyed fishing along the shore line and launching our kayaks from shore. The owner was quick to respond to any questions/issues we had. The only downside was that we had very spotty AT&T phone service. It usually worked best outside near the lake. It wasn't much of an issue for us but just letting everyone know in case you have to connect for work/school. If you're looking to do some fishing, I highly recommend Big Dawg Outfitters! We had a blast fishing and they were very accommodating to our party of 6, which included two young kids. Looking forward to staying here again!

Disappointed - Property Filthy

This property is poorly maintained. Front door and porch covered in dried bugs and dirt. This home had not been thoroughly cleaned as advertised in listing. The floors were so dirty we were not able to go barefoot in the house. Linens on one bed was soiled. Bathroom floors and rugs had hair and dirt from previous renters. Damaged and unsafe cooking pots along rusted pans resulting in us having to go buy pans to cook with. Ants were a major problem, both our vehicles were infested with ants by the time we left. Ants are so bad on porch made it unusable. Amenities were not available also as advertised.

Not what I expected for the price

No water, the advertised water dispenser with water is in a closet nonfunctional. They dont get water for it anymore but its still advertised. There was supposed to be 1 gallon of water there given the dispenser gone but there was not. Owner helped me with a gallon of water stashed on property, but dispenser was advertised and not provided ā€¦Many of the clean dishes put away were dirty, I had to rewash most of them, but first ... The dishwasher was full of ā€œcleanā€ dishes that had sat there closed with condensation so long I had to rewash all of those first also as the smell was awful.All of the clean towels smelled of mildew, had to rewash before used. They smelled like they were used, left wet on the floor til dry then folded and put away.The satellite tv only worked in the living room. None of the bedrooms would connect to satellite, so there was no TV OR wifi, greatā€¦.Hot tub was dirty. Full of sand, water cloudy and low. Once turned on, it bubbled up like it was full of soap which was also yellowish. This ā€œsoapyā€ appearance is indicative of this tub not being cleaned.The ā€œnewā€ grill was a mess. By this point, I was surprised there was propane. Filthy and no tools to clean it with. Found 1 broken scraper on the ground nearby ā€¦ I did my best, but only used it once given its condition and lack of tools.This was a lot of money spent for the amount of hassle ā€¦ the cleaning I had to do, the lack of advertised water or tv for the kids and a dirty hot tub.

Peaceful Family Getaway

The house was beautiful! It was very well appointed. The location and view could not be more perfect. It is off the beaten path, and there are no stores nearby, so we prepared accordingly. The house had plenty of space for our 3 small kids to run around, and the yard was spacious too. Access to the lake/beach area was super easy and quick. The huge shallow sandbar allowed me to actually relax and not worry myself sick while my babies splashed around. It was 1000X safer than the actual beach. The hot tub was nice too, with a great view. We enjoyed just sitting on the deck and watching the boats go by. I have not one single complaint about our time there, and we are already looking at the calendar to see when we can return.

Perfect Getaway - this place has everything

This was such a beautiful property! The hosts really thought of everything! Perfect access to the water and a nice beach area for the kiddos to play and swim. There is a plenty of shallow water for the kids too. The house was extremely clean. You can tell a lot of love was put into this property. Off the Grid Hidden Gem

I loved my stay on Lake Sam Rayburn! It was absolutely gorgeous and serene. The house has been completely renovated and has everything you need. My favorite thing was enjoying the hot tub, which overlooks the lake, under a canopy of trees, in the late evening. This house is waterfront with a sandy beach entry. The house has a pool table, ping pong, and corn hole. I definitely plan to rent again as this has been my favorite VRBO.
