This Glamp Cabin style tent is named for our beloved 46' motor yacht "Moondance" that we enjoyed many weekends on, inspired by the Van Morrison hit of the same name from the 70's. The moment you pull up you begin to feel nautical and that theme carries across the deck and right into the 370 sq ft interior of this charming one bedroom, one bath glamp equipped with Heat & Air, fridge, microwave, grill, and hot tub! All of the walls are covered in oak and poplar rough cut boards from trees that grew and were milled right here on the property. The only thing missing is the mermaid, or is she?

We enjoyed our stay. The sunken hop tub on the deck was the best very clean. Cabin are nice. Well equipt . The shower in moondance is well done with a rain shower.

First time glamping - Destination Resort was a wonderful first time. Amenities were very nice and personalized. Very clean. Nice to not have WiFi and tv with two teenagers. Great family time

Quiet, romantic getaway

From the moment we met Skip upon arrival until we said goodbye, they were the best hosts ever! So much attention to detail in our tent, every amenity we could imagine, the BEST hot tub we've ever had anywhere! The bed was as comfortable as our bed at home (this never happens on trips for us), the furnishings are super nice. The outdoor spaces are beautiful! We're can't wait to return for another stay!

Carrie and I had a wonderful, relaxing time! Skip and Rhonda were the ultimate hosts! If you want to stay at a place and forget what's going on in the rest of the world, this is it! Look forward to returning.

The Moondance

My boyfriend and I stayed here for the weekend. It was exactly what we needed. Peace and quiet. The room was beautiful and cozy. The jacuzzi on the deck was a perfect touch. The scenery is amazing. We walked the trails and hung out on the rocks in the river. Seriously the perfect spot to get away from a busy life. And the owners are so sweet and welcoming! We will definitely be back soon!!

WOW!!!

This was a great way to bring in the New Year! Such a neat idea. Stay in a tent but enjoy the best amenities. We loved the hot tub on the back deck. We grilled out each night while our granddaughter played. She didn't want to leave! The owners are great and go out of the way to make sure you enjoy your stay. Looking forward to going back!

My wife and I have been married for 37 years, enjoying great careers and raising two handsome sons along the way. In 2004 we bought part of an old building in downtown Nashville and renovated it into our urban loft home. It soon became know as The Music Loft as we hosted many artist showcases, record release parties, deal signings and all sorts of other events. We also rented the property as a vacation home where we cut our teeth on the short term rental market. We have a passion for hospitality and the opportunities it gives us to do the things we love the most, meet people from all over the world, entertain, cook, and provide a top notch lodging experience. We are excited to share our new venture, The Destination Resort, with as many people as we possibly can. So come and enjoy a Glamping Experience with us!

Por que o anfitrião escolheu essa propriedade

Once we sold The Music Loft in downtown Nashville, we began looking for the right place to develop our dream retirement business. We had always talked about owning a B&B or even an old inn somewhere. Once I retired we started the search in earnest and surprisingly life led us to a most beautiful spot just outside of Dadeville Alabama. We fell in love with Sandy Creek (more like a river if you ask me!) and purchased the first 78 acres in early 2018. The property is accessed by a 1.25 mile red dirt access road and is covered in Alabama hardwoods from the highest point on the ridge all the way down to the banks of Sandy Creek, which runs along the entire western edge of the property. With no roads, electricity, or water supply, we still saw the potential and took on the three year challenging journey to develop the property into the destination it is today! Along the way we purchased an additional 24 acres on the north side of the creek to insure that the view remained beautiful and the resort stayed private. We are ready to begin sharing it with the rest of the world jus as soon as you can get here!

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

The resort provides our guests with a chance to get back in touch with themselves, their loved ones, and the beauty of nature. With only 4 glamps and a max occupancy of 20 guests, it provides a private setting that is still easily accessible. The star is, ,of course, Sandy Creek. From the rushing, tumbling shoals, to the lazy slow currents downstream, the creek provides so many ways to enjoy the property. Snag a couple of Adirondack chairs, sit them right in the shoals and enjoy the cool water running by on a hot August day, or jump in a canoe and paddle out to Lake Martin, one of the largest resort lakes in the Southeast. How about throw a line in and try your luck at snagging a bass? Sit around a fire, strum a guitar and roast some S'Mores while listening to the water bubbling past. Take an early morning hike all the way down the Creek Trail, over the Troll Bridge and down to Bridge View Point. Keep an eye out for deer, turkey, rabbits, hawks, and who knows what else? Come hang with us at Sandy Creek Lodge and get a dose of television if you need it, Grill out on your deck, or reserve a special dinner at The Lodge if you dont want to cook yourself. Jump in the car and go explore the sites and experiences the Lake Martin Resort area has to offer, from the Dadeville Square to Toomers Corner in Auburn. Rent a pontoon or jet skis and discover the lake itself with great restaurants, bars, live music and more!
