Wonderful place

We had a great time place is very clean very warm and cozy. The team enjoyed every aspect of the house. My bad as the coach was very very comfortable. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home. The neighborhood was quiet great place to stay.

Bed Bugs

This place currently has bed bugs. My husband was bit several times. The house was otherwise fine and the host was quick to refund our stay and was very apologetic.

Enjoyable Stay

This home is newer, very clean and in a very nice neighborhood. Everything was as listed and the host was very responsive. Our visit was to do Rail Explorers in Boone IA and explore Des Moines. The location was convenient for both. Would stay again.

The property was very well taken care of and stocked with more amenities than we expected. The location was excellent. Communication with the host was very easy. He was very responsive and helpful. We would recommend this host and location to anyone looking in the West Des Moines area.

Iowa family vacation

The property was just as described and my family enjoyed the stay. The only issue was at 2:30 am the smoke alarm was beeping and talking low battery. The communication from the host was pleasant and professional, easy entry access, and the amenities were exceptional.

Better than a hotel for a Family Wedding Weekend

The house was great for my family as we traveled to the Grimes area for a family wedding. It was cheaper than 2 hotel rooms for 3 nights which is amazing right now due to everything is sooo expensive. We all had our own rooms and the 2.5 bathrooms made getting ready easy. The kitchen was fully furnished and a comfy couch for relaxing inbetween. Also getting to the house & to HyVee and Walmart were super easy. Would suggest this house if you are looking in the Grimes Area for a great family place to stay.

Quiet & Clean

My sister's & I drove down from MN to see our niece's & nephew. This place was clean even my germaphob sister approved. Everything we needed was less than 5 minutes away. We all enjoyed ourselves. If I could change 1 thing it would definitely be blinds or something to cover the window on the kitchen.

Great Stay!

Overall was a very nice stay and the home was more than what we needed but for the price of a hotel was a MUCH better deal! Super clean and new home with everything in it you would need like being in your own home. The only thing I wasn’t super excited about was it is a track home meaning you are right next to many neighbors coming and going all around you and cars parked in front of the house all over. But that is definitely not a deal breaker, just something to keep in mind. Thank you Drew!

Weekend wedding

This location was perfect distance from our family. The house could have been cleaner. There was used cream cheese in fridge; women’s panties under the ottoman; trash under a bed; & trash container in garage was overflowing. It would benefit from a handrail to get up the steps for our 92 yr old mom & the bunkbed room would be better if bottom bed was a full & beds were actually bunked so we could of put up a blowup mattress. Bowls to serve food would have been helpful. It was a great way for our family to all stay together.

Not to VRBO standards

The property wasn’t up to my standards. The mattress were poor quality. There was garbage on the side of the house on the ground and all three cans were full. The lock was very difficult to open. It was advertised as a two car garage which it was but it had items stored in it.

Great Location!

I have stayed at many VRBO properties this house had the most comfortable beds I have slept in so far, location and front door lock system was great, check-in and check-out was easy. Down fall was cleanliness of the property there were no cleaning products left in cabnets to use to wipe down counters or clean toilets we had to run to Wal-Mart and buy some because even though we only stayed 3 nights sad to say we had to do some cleaning before we could enjoy our stay. Furniture in the living & dining room were not comfortable and not very many choices on seating for the size of this house. I think with a few changes to this property it could be a 5+ stay for future guests.

Bed bugs

The property was as the listing showed. We didn’t stay a full night because as they got comfortable up stairs bed bugs started coming out. This was an horrible experience because it was approximately 9:07 when this happened and we called the owner and took pictures then we packed up and had to find somewhere to stay. We had to try and find a hotel with a refrigerator because we had been to Wal-Mart and already got our food for the stay. The owner at first seemed genuinely concerned but when i was asking about the rest of my money he stopped responding. He did refund the majority of the money immediately. But I'm still waiting on the rest. It wasn't our intentions to leave we were enjoying the place but no one wants to sleep with bed bugs or bring them home.

Good But Not Great...

The property is fairly new and had all the necessary basics. We had to buy small things such as facial tissues and paper towels, although we later found paper towels stored in an out-of-the-way place. The two car garage had many things stored on one side, so that only one side could be used for a car. We had two cars. There was no remote to open the garage door, so we had to enter the house and open the garage door from the inside. We decided after the first day to just park both cars in the driveway. The outside trash can was full from previous guests, and we were given no instructions on when to put it out for pickup. We couldn't put our own full trash bags in it when we left. We had trouble with the front door combination initially, but once we figured it out, it was fine. So all the major things were good, but there were smaller things that were lacking. All bedrooms are upstairs, so there are stairs to climb everyday and suitcases that must be carried up and down. That might not be feasible for some guests. Overall, it was a good stay, but not a great one.

Spacious and clean, but some problems

This was a spacious home for our group of 6 people, and it was clean. It did however have some problems. It has a 2 car garage, and we came with two cars. However, we were only able to put one car in the garage because bicycles, toys and other items to up some of the space in a portion of the garage. The dining table only accommodated 4 chairs without having people straddle table legs. The bedrooms other than the master bedroom had no chairs to rest in. None of the bedrooms had a radio. The master bedroom venetian blinds were missing a rod to open/close the louvers, and there was no cord to pull up and let down the blinds. The shower curtain in the master bedroom was too short to effectively keep the water in the shower area.

Great property

The house seemed brand new! It was spacious and it was clean. It had a good layout for the kids to play/watch movies while adults sat around the island or at the table. The neighborhood is compact, but the neighbors were quiet and seemed nice. This house is within 30 minutes of everything the greater Des Moines metro has to offer. Overall, this is a great place to stay.
