Located less than a mile beach walks away from the Daytona Pier, which has Joe's Crab Shack rooftop restaurant and Hard Rock Cafe. Only 6 miles away from Daytona's International Speedway. Along with several restaurants, shops, attractions, and more! Great winter escape, newly remodeled, and a beautiful winter retreat :)

Biketoberfest
The property was as advertised. It seems the condo was converted from an old hotel and is a bit dated but it was a clean unit. Our only complaints are that the bed was not very comfortable and with the plastic mattress cover over the mattress it made the sheets stick to us somewhat, I would suggest putting a fabric cover over the top of the plastic prior to putting the sheets on the bed. Also, the bathroom door will not shut so you have no privacy. We did not use the kitchen at all, so I cannot comment on the appliances or anything.

No pool or beach access currently due to construction
The listing says there is a pool... This is not the case. The host did send this information in an email but it was already too late to cancel our booking. Beach access isn't too far away but not as convenient as one would hope with booking a beachfront rental. Upon arriving we found a pair of dirty underwear in the cabinet under the TV. I immediately contacted the host and voiced my concern about cleanliness of the room. She said she was "really surprised to hear about this" and had " sent a message to the cleaning crews to gather more information and address this issue". She did not offer an apology or do anything else to address our concern about the cleanliness of the room. During our stay we discovered that all of the bowls in the cabinets were dirty. The oven has a lot of spillage in the bottom and made the room so smoky the first time we tried to use it. We decided to just avoid using it due to the smell and fear of setting off the smoke alarm. To be fair I didn't mention the bowls or the stove to the host because after the response I received regarding my concerns about the underwear and general cleanliness it didn't seem like there would be much of a point. Asking the cleaning crew about my findings and issues doesn't really do much to help with my stay. After reading reviews it seems like this is an ongoing problem and these have been going unaddressed or unresolved. It's not all bad. The room is cute. The location is great. It's a quick walk to lots of restaurants.

great time but wouldn’t stay here again
No hate to the owners whatsoever! This place is a great location but overall just has some issues that would prevent me and my friends from returning. The elevators are super slow and some times just didn’t work and we were on the 5th floor, so definitely not ideal. and the stairways were for exiting the building only, you cannot enter the building through them, which we thought was very odd and also seemed like a safety hazzard. Another issue we had was the door to our balcony had no handle on the outside so if we had accidentally shut the door behind us we would’ve been locked out of the condo! We also just felt like the bathroom wasn’t very clean & the tub was completely clogged from the first shower we took. We had to wait 20 mins in btwn showers just to wait for the water to go down. The beds were pretty uncomfortable as well, you could feel the bars under the mattresses. Another thing out of the owners control but the pool was under construction and although we were warned of that prior to arrival i don’t believe it was on the listing as such. This spot is however, very affordable and all around was perfect for a quick trip with my 2 friends, basically a hotel room with a kitchenette and that’s all we needed! Steps away from the beach and lots of restaurants and stores nearby.

I was excited to stay near the beach and picked this hotel given the high ratings. Unfortunately, when my flight came in in the evening and I drove to the location and had to reach out multiple times to the owner to get the code to be let in. This was finally resolved within 30 minutes. The picture of the room inside is accurate. I was surprised to find the bedding unkept. A few of the pillows, especially one in particular were stained. They were covered with a pillowcase but no protector so could see the dirt. Both beds had a plastic mattress cover and one was ripped on the side. Collectively, this made me feel uncomfortable that I was not sleeping in a clean bed. I reached out to the owner. She asked for pictures and I sent. I requested a cancellation because I did not feel this was satisfactory to sleep in. She would not cancel and offered one free night. While this was a nice gesture, I honestly felt grossed out by it and requested a full cancelation. I am not a germophobic, just felt that was not clean for anyone. She would not cancel even though this was a property issue. I don’t think this is good business and very disappointed as it is not my fault the cleaning crew /owner did not have clean pillows. The unit faces the side - you can see the beach and also the street. It directly overlooks a empty lot. The area around appears safe but there were several homeless people near the property and directly on the empty lot. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this unit.

We stayed for 14 days at this property. The room is clean and cute. Has all the things you need for an extended stay. There are no luggage carts available so it was difficult to get all our stuff in. Any time I contacted the owner she was quick to respond. It’s a nice room for 2 people.

Simple and convenient
This property was chosen for close proximity to start line of beach running race. Clean, older hotel converted to condos, simple, no frills and better price and value than hotel chains. The pool was closed due to hurricane damage. The traffic noise was expected as it was on the main beach road and a weekend night. Our host Carrie was so kind, quick with responses and any questions that popped up! Although the checkin and race start times were close, we were able to drop off luggage before race. What a relief! We would certainly return if in the area again!

Great location
Carrie was a great host. She responded quickly when I couldn’t figure out how to get in. The property was in a great location with ocean view and quiet. I felt safe there considering I was staying alone. I will be back.
