Hugged by the pristine sand dunes of the Carova shore, the Seashine welcomes you with breathtaking, spectacular views of the Atlantic Ocean. Wake up in the morning to amazing, wide-open sights of the sun rising over the water and wind down with the blazing sunsets. Enjoy with your family this secluded location, while swimming and playing on the beach on location, cooking in the arched-windows, well-stocked kitchen with magnificent stone countertops, savoring a meal together in the dining room while watching the ocean waves, playing games in the Ships Watch room with unparalleled ocean views, relaxing in your private pool or hot tub, and watching the wild horses, dolphins and scores of magnificent birds from your swing , or hammock, or the gazebo where the waves wash on high tide, This is the Seashine where lifetime memories are made.

This property requires 4x4 or AWD to access as it is up the Carova beach by mile marker 23.

You will find 3 beach parking permits on the freezer door.Upon departure, don’t forget to leave the permits, otherwise fee of $150/permit is enforced.
Please take care of the custom stone countertops. Do not tenderize meat on either side of the sink. Use a cutting board. Do not stain the stone.
Please try to keep the thermostat at a reasonable temperature (68 minimum). We understand the summer's are warm. Thank you.

The property was absolutely amazing. The house the pool the views the gazebo the private beach access was all amazing. The Host was very attentive. I would rent this house every year for the rest of my life if I could. We saw wild horses right on the property dolphins sea turtles. Driving on the beach to get to the house was also an amazing experience. I don't have a single negative thing to say about this house or the host except thank you.

The house is clean and beautiful. The owner was very responsive. And the beach and ocean is great. There are a lot of jeeps who camp out on the beach during the day, so although its the off-road part of the beach, the beach is populated with vehicles. We had AWD which means you should only travel at low-tide.

Awesome house at an awesome place

This house was awesome! We’ve been coming to OBX for years and this was the best place we’ve stayed. The house was perfect with tons of amenities. The kitchen is well appointed and tons of extras. We will be coming back for sure and this house is where we will be staying!

Stunning Location

We had a lovely 4 week stay at the Seashine house. The location was amazing and gorgeous, directly oceanfront with a private walk to the beach. The wild horses walked the yard and beach almost everyday!

Serene & Relaxation

We had a wonderful time with our family. Our gradchildren were in AWE with the horses and the ocean! We enjoyed the games and puzzles. The house was very well equiped with everything you could need . It was very relaxing. I will definitely stay here again.

Wonderful Time In Carova Beach!

Last week we had the privilege of having a week of vacation at The Seashine. Accommodations were great! Host responsive!! Highly recommend you checking into this property. Our first OBX experience but I'm positive not the last. This property has great access to beach and is set up to make your vacation time enjoyable! You won't be disappointed 🙂

Stunning home!

Absolutely gorgeous home on the ocean! This home was perfect for a family gathering for my dad's 85th birthday. On the cold rainy day no one minded being "stuck" inside b/c the house is so large and open with huge windows looking right over the ocean. My dad had a blast driving the 10 miles in on the sand-a lifetime first!

Great Getaway!

Lovely home on the oceanfront with a great layout. Wonderful windows all along the east and west sides provide great views of the beach and morning sunrises and evening sunsets. The wild horses walk right along the beach in front of the house. Enjoyed the amenities and features of the home. The nooks were perfect for reading or playing games. It's a wonderful spot on the 4 x4!

Love, love, love.

This property was an absolute dream. The house was gorgeous and had every amenity you could think of. The location and the view of the ocean was breathtaking. We saw dolphins and the horses came right up to the house on more than one occasion! Even the beach driving was a fun experience that I already miss. Will happily book at the Seashine in the years to come.

Great property

This is a great property and we had an awesome time. The house is as advertised. Access to the beach was unique as other properties nearby didn't have this as easily. Seeing the horses was fun and unique. Driving on the beach was exciting the first time but it resulted in a need for planning as trips into town took 45 minutes (one way) - you need 4x4 drive. If you're not adventurous you would not want to stay at this property.

Paradise on the Beach

Our family of 8 adults travelled to OBX and stayed at the beautiful Seashine. The house was spectacular, all the bedrooms having an en suite bath. The kitchen and dining area was large and we could all cook together easily. The views were inspiring both for sunrises, sunsets and the occasional horse sighting. The pool and beach access was right there and easily accessible. You really do need to plan and arrive at low tide because you are driving on the beach for about 10 miles. All in all it was a beautiful, relaxing time spent with family. Would 100% recommend our host and their fabulous house.

Carova Beach Vacation

Our stay at The Seashine in Carova Beach was much much better than expected! This is a lovely home in a beautiful and secluded area of the Outer Banks. We saw the wild Spanish Mustangs every day of our visit which is an amazing experience. We also saw dolphins and the shelling was outstanding. The Seashine was incredibly clean and inviting, and Petra was so attentive to any question. We are already looking forward to another visit in the future! Thank you Petra for sharing your beautiful home with us. You are a wonderful host!

I was born and raised in Bulgaria during the Cold War. I attended a French Lyceum for 5 years and later studied sociology at the University of Sofia. I had to immigrate to Madrid, Spain to seek political asylum. After residing in Madrid for several years, I moved to the U.S. I earned a Ph.D. in Sociology--my dissertation was on the American Dream and Bulgarian immigrants. I then pursued a Juris Doctorate and earned a J.D. degree. I currently practice federal litigation/immigration law. My family, including our pets, and I reside alternately in Wilmington, Delaware and the Seashine.

The Seashine is a magical place in a secluded area, away from hectic traffic and noise. Wild horses graze the dunes and many times wander around the front yard in the morning . You can marvel at their grace and beauty as you enjoy your morning coffee from the swing bench on the front porch. Or gaze in awe at the dolphins jumping out of the ocean water as you sit down to a meal with your family. Scores of magnificent pelicans often pass right in front of your eyes. The Seashine is the best place to fully unwind and take a break with your closest loved ones.

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

The Seashine is perched upon a high, pristine dune. It is one of the few properties in the Outer Banks that have direct access to the beach with a private gazebo right on the shore. Every deck has open views that extend towards the ocean or the sound area. The home has a very comfortable layout. It is open, spacious and professionally decorated. Its cathedral ceilings and high, church-like arched windows lend unparallel views of the Atlantic Ocean and the beautiful sound area.
The Seashine is also very close to several state and federally protected areas. You can walk to the Virginia border and explore the wild dune area behind the horse fence. There is a Geocaching app that guides you to find the remnants of a prior fisherman's village in that area or search for burried treasures from very old times. Shell collection in this area is another favorite pastime.
