My overall stay was great! We loved the house and the host is super sweet! We had a minor issue with getting in touch with the host, but that was resolved. Definitely would book it again!

During my search for accommodations for my group attending the Hampton Ministers’ Conference, I discovered a listing for a property situated within walking distance of the campus and Convocation Center. Upon arrival, the house met all expectations, providing ample space for our group. The rooms were both comfortable and spacious. The host demonstrated exceptional responsiveness in addressing a minor concern that arose. Members of my group thoroughly enjoyed the conference, in part due to the exceptional lodging experience. We eagerly anticipate booking the property again for next year’s conference.

Awesome Stay & Play!

Chanel By the Shore was excellent. It was enough room for everyone to have their own space and gather together. It is super convenient located in a quaint neighborhood. Definitely recommend for an awesome stay & play gem!!

Beautiful home, exceptional host

Stayed here with my team for a tennis tournament. Home was new and nicely decorated. Lots of space. Walking distance to several quaint restaurants. Parking for three cars. Host was very attentive and responded within seconds. Would definitely stay again.

Fantastic Three Day Weekend

My family and I stayed at Britney's home over Labor Day weekend and had an amazing time. We were central to all of the activities we had planned and the restaurants we attended. The house was very clean and very accommodating. We could not ask for anything else. We would gladly choose to stay there again. Also, Brittney was very responsive anytime I had a question.

Overall Great Stay

Conveniently located close to everything we wanted to do. Decorated nicely with plenty of amenities. Spacious rooms, good water pressure in showers. Only negative is the floors could’ve used a good mopping before our arrival & walls need a fresh coat of paint from scrapes & dings.

Took us 30 min to check in… the floors were nasty was never cleaned before we checked in. There is no hotub like listed. You can’t cook there becuase the pots are terrible every last thing stuck to them. Overall a bad place to stay at

Group trip

The check-in process was easy, instructions for parking were great and communication with the host was prompt snd easy. Kitchen and bathrooms were nicely appointed and surfaces were clean and tidy. The location made it easy to get around the area and the neighborhood was quiet. I did remove a star for cleanliness as the floors were quite dirty upon check-in- we noticed this as there’s a sign requesting that you remove footwear at the front door and it was immediately noticeable on bare feet that the floors could have used a deeper clean. That being said, the home is nice for a larger group, the host is very responsive and it’s in a convenient location- so I would recommend it as a great option if you’re looking for a place in the area.

Weekend Stay for Family Gathering

The property is great and perfect for our short stay trip. Would have been great for a longer stay as well and will definitely be looking to stay here again next time we are in the Hampton Roads area. Host is available for any issues that may come up (we did not have any), but the communication is great! I highly recommend considering this property if looking to stay in the area. Thank you!!!

Spacious Open Concept Home Close to Highway

Overall, great property. Newer home, with nice amenities, lots of space, and comfy mattresses. Location was great; right off the highway, and easy to find. We made a trip to Busch Gardens, and it was a quick and easy drive from the property. One garage parking space, and two driveway spaces comfortably fits 3 cars. Sofas were low and not overly comfortable. There is a veteran's cemetery across the street, but it was a beautiful backdrop for the sunrise. Property Manager is super responsive and willing to assist to fix any issues that may arise; she let us know when the home was ready for check-in, gave us options to replace a dirty shower curtain liner, and communicated with us throughout the stay. Home could use a deep clean/steam clean throughout and some rugs added to help with noise reduction, but minor items that are easily fixed. We would stay at this property again. Hampton stay

This house was spacious enough for my family of 7. We had plenty of room to spread out. It was in a perfect location - not far from the beach, college, and has highway access. Unfortunately, this home has not been kept well considering it is a fairly new build. One bedroom had what appeared to be mold on the ceiling and definitely mold in one of the upstairs showers. I have to say that after several messages with Britney and VRBO the mold issue was handle quickly. The walls has hand prints and dirt scuff marks everywhere. The towels are worn, don’t match and are bleached out (maybe because guest are asked to wash them before check out).The Ikea like furniture is very low for anyone over 5’5 and they too had stains, we covered them with sheets. This could and probably was a nice rental but it fell short on cleanliness and upkeep from management. For a new property with 4.9 star and priced such as this I was very disappointed!!

Lovely Stay!

The property was great. Perfect for our needs. A few college friends in town for a wedding. The owner was very accommodating and the house is well equipped. The 4 for cleanliness was just because there were places in at least one of the bedrooms where the walls could be freshened just a bit. Not a huge concern at all. Would absolutely choose it again!

Reunion of high school friends

This spacious property was perfect for friends in town for our 50th high school reunion. Each of us had a private bedroom and bath. Our property manager provided us timely communication as well as decorated the property with Halloween cheer.

Post summer get away

First off this house was beautiful , clean , and fairly new. My girlfriend loved it so much and she told me to buy a house just like it…Lol…The owner of the place was very responsive throughout the whole stay…The only negative thing about this place was the distance from all the activities and restaurants in the Virginia Beach proper…We have to drive like 20 plus miles away every time we would do an activity like zip lining, or kayaking ( dolphin watching) restaurant hunting , Etc. This is also located across the cemetery which I didn’t mind but my gf kinda got scared the first time we got there. Lol…But overall this place still made my gf and family feel at home…Thank you and hope to be back next summer.

Excellent stay

We were there for a weekend of sailboat racing, so we used the house more for sleeping than partying. 6 adults fit with room to spare. The house is very clean and new with lots of room. Easy access through the keyless front door. The entire crew remarked on the comfort of the beds! Britney was exceedingly helpful and answered all questions timely and accurately. All-in-all a great place to stay and good value. A few nits to pick: I would expect many USB ports in the wall sockets of a new house like this. You'll need to bring your own. A keyless entry to the garage door would be helpful. Handrails in the showers would be a nice safety feature, to keep old codgers like myself, from falling. I very much look forward to staying here next year!

My name is Britney and I am so thrilled that you are looking into staying at my beach cottage! I grew up in Oklahoma and moved to the DC area over 5 years ago! Last summer, I surprised my parents with a quick anniversary trip to visit Colonial Williamsburg and we stayed near Buckroe Beach (in Hampton, VA). I fell in love with the area and decided I wanted to create a clean, modern and fun environment for other people to enjoy! I like decorating and hosting so this has been so much fun for me to do outside of my corporate job. In the future, I want to be able to duplicate this in other places I love!
