Come Relax with your family at Casa Bear

Casa Bear located in a quiet cove near the center of Lake Martin with year round water. Come bring the family and unwind in the peaceful atmosphere on the charming wrap around porch. This home has a cabin feel with all the space to spread out with two separate living areas and two kitchens for larger families. The main floors features an open concept kitchen and living area. The kitchen includes a double oven and an under counter icemaker. There are 2 full size refrigerators, one in the kitchen on the main floor and one in the kitchen downstairs. There is one master bedroom and bath on the main floor as well as a half bath. The upper level has another master and en suite as well as two other bedrooms and a bunk room. The lower level features a living space, another bedroom and bath, and kitchenette. All bedrooms have lake views except the bunkroom. The most outstanding feature of this house is the front porch with wrought iron rails. This is a tremendous place to enjoy breakfast or dinner on the porch. There are two tables on the porch. One seating six and one seating four. The house is situated so that there is never full sun on the porch. Take an afternoon nap on the swinging porch bed nestled in the shady corner of the porch or play checkers/chess.
The dock is a place to enjoy swimming or sit and relax on the covered area for those that need shade. There is a hammock, Water Pad, Kayaks, and paddle board (included with your rental from April through September) at the dock for the adults and kids to swim or play without all the lake traffic. The dock provides a great area for fishing or sunbathing throughout the day. The boat house has a place for you to pull up and dock your own boat. The up/downstairs porches both lead to the patio area and the boathouse. The house features it’s own boat ramp so you won’t have to fight the crowds on the weekends.
This lovely home is perfectly situated mid-lake for easy access to Chimney Rock or to go out for music and dinner at Chuck’s Marina.
We disclose that we have video home monitoring system to the exterior of the house for security purposes only. This system records the driveway entrance, side door entrance, and lake view.
We do NOT have cable TV. We have Wi-Fi to stream programs. There are three televisions in the home. Main living area, Master on the main, and in the living area downstairs. There is a Wii and many board games.
There is limited parking which can accommodate 8 cars. Renters must park on our property (on driveway and a couple spots in the grass). No parking on the street due to blocking neighbors.
We require a signed Rental Agreement to be returned to us prior to your stay.
Notes on our rural setting:
Casa Bear is located in a rural area. Every attempt is made to make sure everything in the house is in working order prior to your arrival. If something should go wrong during your stay, please know that professional plumbing, A/C and electrician services are not available on a 24 hour basis to us. Also, due to the rural setting, power can sometimes fluctuate or go off. This rarely happens, but is a possibility. We will make every effort to repair any problems that occur during your stay. However, there may be times (such as nights and weekends) when that is not possible. Guests must acknowledge and accept this possibility and rent the property fully aware that refunds will not be given due to after hours repairmen not being available in our area.
We reserve the right to enter the premises to implement repairs at any time. We will do our very best to give adequate notice of two hours to our guests. There may be times when this is not possible.
There are no refunds given for trip interruption due acts of God such as tornado, hurricane, lightening strikes, power outage due to weather, etc.
We do not allow third-party leasing or subleasing.
