Allie’s on the Rocks is a fully renovated lakefront bungalow curated for couples seeking privacy, comfort, and elevated lake living. Named after our sweet pup Allie, who loves relaxing on the covered deck, this intimate Smith Lake retreat blends modern finishes with relaxed waterfront charm. Whether you’re planning a romantic escape, fishing weekend, kayaking adventure, or a scenic remote-work stay, this home delivers a peaceful, memorable experience.

Inside, you’ll find two thoughtfully designed bedrooms and two baths. The upstairs primary suite features a king bed, Roku TV, dresser, closet, reading chair, and a spacious lake-view workspace surrounded by windows. The attached bath offers clean, modern finishes and a locking barn door for privacy. Positioned on its own level, the suite feels secluded and serene.

On the main floor, enjoy a welcoming living area and a cozy second bedroom with a queen bed, Roku TV, and locking sliding barn door. The renovated living room also serves as additional sleeping space with a queen sofa sleeper, dresser, desk/workstation, Roku TV, and direct porch access. A washer/dryer closet adds convenience for weekend getaways or extended stays.

All TVs include Roku with high-speed 1 GB internet and access to 75+ live channels, with the option to log into your personal streaming accounts.

The fully stocked kitchen features modern appliances, cookware, utensils, and a dedicated coffee and tea station. Dine indoors or enjoy meals on the covered porch overlooking the water. A propane grill is ready for sunset cookouts, or take a short stroll to Drifters Bar & Grille for lakeside dining and social energy.

Pet-friendly amenities make traveling with your dog effortless. The fully fenced backyard provides safe access to the porch, deck, dock, and shoreline, and a pet cleanup station is included.

Our stay was perfect! The entire house was very clean and welcoming! We loved that the kitchen is organized and well stocked (one of the special touches!) The location of the house is very convenient not only to town but also multiple restaurants and local shops if one doesn’t wish to drive into town. We enjoyed the outdoor space that has multiple decks (covered main deck & lower deck, and lakefront) and the enclosed backyard. We loved the personal touches, especially for pets!

Perfect vacation home

This place was awesome! If you travel with pets you want to stay here. They thought of everything. The location was perfect, it's in walking distance of a restaurant and the marina. We will stay here again.

Great getaway!

Very clean, pet friendly lake house on a quiet street, only 20 minutes about from downtown Cullman, and just adjacent to the marina. We had a great trip, house exactly as described, owner very responsive.

This place is so beautiful. The view of the lake and Tim the owner was very responsive when I had questions. They treated us very well. I would recommend staying here to anyone. I will definitely be back with my dog opie.

Great stay - the property was extremely clean, very welcoming, cozy and comfortable. Tim anticipated all of our needs and communicated very effectively through our entire stay. Though we didn't bring our dogs, he is fully prepared to accommodate four legged visitors and we really appreciated his personal dog-themed touches. Very relaxing and we would definitely stay there again.

Beautiful home on the lake. The back deck quickly became our favorite gathering spot. So nice our extended family came to visit us. Easy communication with our hosts. Exceptionally well-appointed inside and outside.

Perfect get away!

We loved that this property was more than pet friendly - it was pro pet! We had our yellow lab with us and having the fenced back yard was great for him to be able to explore. The house was well appointed and very clean. I wish the restaurant next door was still open - but the kitchen was well supplied. Great get away - beautiful views!

Great owner and great house

For me the most important part of any stay is how the owner treats you. Tim’s communication is outstanding and his attention to detail makes you feel very welcome in his property. The house is very cute and clean and the covered porch is a great place to relax and enjoy the view. Look forward to working with Tim again.

Great Lake house

Lake house was perfect for our family, however, the dock walkway down is very steep and would not recommend for young children or elderly. House is very well stocked and very thought out for guest. Loved the spacious deck and observation deck was an added plus. More roomy than in pictures. Loved our stay and would stay again in future.

This is a wonderful lake house. Decorated very pretty. Very clean . Just about every convenience you could ask for they have provided. The front is unassuming but the back porch, yard and of the course the lake make it all a beautiful and relaxing space. Would definitely visit again

Pup friendly break

Allie’s is just as described. The host has included so many thoughtful extras - from the keepsake bottle opener to towels, treats for pups and pantry staples / cooking tools for nesting in the lovely lakeside location. One reviewer noted the steep drop to the lake - and it is - so no toddlers or small kids here but perfect for adults and pups.

Refreshing property

The hosts were communicative and left personal touches to let you know they cared about your experience. The home inside is refreshing and up to date , full of personality , beds are comfy ( bottom bed a little squeaky ) .. we had all we needed - well stocked kitchen. Back porch is nice . Water lake level was way down so dock was steep to get to, but we are able bodied and enjoyed it very much. Gorgeous sunset views from the height of the rocks . We highly recommend !

A little piece of heaven

What an amazing retreat location. The perfect place to recharge your batteries. From start to finish, Karen and Tim were fantastic. They were so excellent at responding to any question I had before checkin and made that process super easy. The house was pristine upon arrival and any question I had, they were right on top of it! Karen even came over after a tornado came thru the area as i was having internet issues and took care of it instantly. The area is charming, the house is lovely and i have never seen such a variety of birds on the lake in my life. Overall...if you need to relax, recharge and reinvigorate.....Allie's is where you want to be!

Little family getaway!

This home is absolutely perfect! If you want a peaceful stay right on the lake this is your place! From the yard, to the bedrooms, the bathrooms, towels, linens, the porch and everything in between was awesome! We visited Cullman Alabama for a family wedding and stayed for 3 nights but I am planning another trip for the summer already! We really enjoyed the porch with our fur babies who also loved this home too. We loved the marina restaurant that’s literally right across from this home, you walk down the driveway and you have food right there. We walked our dogs all around the area too, so quiet and friendly people around! The bedroom upstairs is where we slept and the view is to die for, and the bed is very comfortable - it’s important to us to have nice beds when your on vacation; Also, we loved that it has a the huge board games collection and the kitchen was fully stocked. All the essentials this home has! We didn’t get to enjoy the kayaks or fishing because the water was low during our trip but we can’t wait to return! You won’t regret staying here!!

Feels like home.

We stayed at Allies on the rocks the last weekend in June. We were a bit skeptical about the location pulling up to the property but no once we opened the front door. The house is extremely well cared for and we immediately felt at home. The view is incredible and the home is well furnished. There are several outdoor areas to sit and enjoy the lake. Access to the water is a bit steep and you need to use caution when getting down. The kitchen has everything you should need including a fabulous coffee bar area. The primary bedroom on the 2nd floor has a great view as well. The bed was very comfortable and so were the pillows. We had our dog with us as well and he was very comfortable as well. He had several spots outside where he took lazy summer naps. The host has thought of everything and you really only need to bring food and personal items for your stay. The host also has added a few special touches for your stay along with a nice welcome note. Very unexpected and appreciated. We had a great time!

Perfect getaway for dog lovers! Beautiful home with beautiful views.

Property was just as listed! Loved the views, comfortable beds, and especially how dog friendly the home was. We cooked our family Christmas dinner here, and the kitchen was very well stocked with everything I needed! Would definitely recommend and stay again.

Peaceful Tranquility

Spent 5 days at Allies while attending Church International Spiritual Celebration. The peaceful quiet surroundings were perfect for my personal reflection and spiritual growth. I chose this property expecting to travel with my Australian Shepherd , the property inside and outside is ideal for traveling with pets. The ambience inside and outside are truly 5 star. Glorious sunrise enjoyed on the lower deck . I will be returning to Allie’s with family and friends…Host was exceptional …thank you for sharing Allie’s S Curry Arkansas

I like to fish. One of my lifelong dreams has been to own a lake home so I could walk out my back door and bass fish or perhaps hop in my boat or jet ski and take off for an afternoon cruise. So, I purchased a bungalow and a lakeside retreat on Smith Lake. Most of the time I live at the “farm” in Colorado Springs, CO with my wife Karen. We have two dogs, Allie and Tigua, along with three cats and about 20 chickens. Barney is no longer with us as he succumbed to aggressive bone cancer too early in his short life. (He is the big pooch on the right side of the photo with Karen). However, Barney will always live in our hearts and remain an icon in his namesake home, Barney's Bluff.
I have owned and run my own structural engineering business since 2001 and Karen does the books for our company. We decided to pursue other interests now that we have a few grandkids and engineering can get both stressful and mundane after 25 years. Living on a beautiful, pristine lake part time and sharing it with others who have a similar passion for fishing and watersports just made sense. I think if you come as our guest to “Allie’s on the Rocks”, “Barney’s Bluff” or our newest place, "Tigua's Sunrise", you will find them as amazing and enjoyable as we have. And feel free to bring your four-legged pals with you.
