On the Little Niangua arm of the LOZ, Big Island is a dream location with the peace and quiet you dream of at the lake, but is just a few miles by water to great spots like The Cave, Captain Ron's, Nauti-Fish, Larry's on the Lake, Fish & Co. & Bridal Cave.

Big Island connects to the mainland with just a small causeway with water on both sides! The loop around the island is just over 4 miles which is perfect for a short morning stroll, or hoof it all the way around for a great workout, fully on blacktop!! The interior of the island is undeveloped so it's offers a great opportunity to hike in an unspoiled environment - you might even happen upon a few caves!

Camdenton with Walmart Supercenter and Gerbes market are just a 15 min drive, Lake Regional Hospital just 25 mins and Osage Beach just 35 minutes, and Old Kinderhook & Lake Valley Golf courses less than 15 mins, as well as Ha Ha Tonka State Park.

Every square inch remodeled in 2018 in a beautiful nautical theme. Upper level has main living room with plenty of seating for large group, kitchen (no dishwasher), two bdrms (both with queen beds), full bath with double vanity & a huge deck with an outdoor dining table, lounge/living area and BBQ grill. Lower level offers a 2nd living room (w/queen fold-out sofa sleeper), lakefront master suite with full bath, 4th bdrm with twin bunk bed & a full bed with access to the hall full bath with double vanity, as well as large utility/laundry room.

RENTAL BOAT - A 24' Donzi Deck Boat, which sits on the lift of the private dock, is also available for rent. Pricing is $850/2 days, $1250/3, $1600/4 days, $1850/5, and $2,000/6-7 days, with a $1000 security deposit. Contract and fees will be managed directly between the owner and renter.

Pricing reflects up to 8 guests - $30 per added guest per night, up to 12, paid directly to the owner outside VRBO.

Minimum 6 nights required for house rental during high season, May 15 thru Sept 15. Absolutely no Saturday check-out's or ins allowed.

No Street Parking -
Our driveway allows for four cars easily, but this is the maximum. Big Island Dr has very low shoulder on both sides so street parking is not allowed near the home.

Guests with their own boat -
TYING A BOAT UP TO THE PERIMETER OF THE DOCK IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED. The perimeter of the dock is NOT equipped with bumpers and/cleats and is not suitable to safely tie up a boat for even a few minutes - it will likely cause damage to both the boat and dock. Should a boat pull up at all, it will need to be held in place by hand, for a few seconds only. The dock has two boat slips and both slips have lifts with boats. If you have your own boat, you will need to take it in and out each day at the Larry Gayle boat ramp, 15 minutes up Lake Rd AA. A neighbor does occassionally offer a slip for use by guests who bring their own boat, based on availability only. However, a 2-day minimum boat rental is still required between May 15 and Sept 15 each summer.
