Hi Jorge, I read your review today. I am sorry for some dissatisfaction with your stay. For the spa use, we clearly stated in VRBO and reminded you before your Check-in, the spa is heated from 7-10pm everyday. That’s when most people use anyway when they come home or after dinner. As for the privacy… we already wrote on our ad, there are 3 cameras around the property when you booked. In fact the backyard camera alerted me your about 3 year old daughter was at the edge of the swimming pool by herself, jumping up and down seemingly happy. I texted you in this app, and reminded you about your kids safety, and please pay attention to her. Thank you for your review, and for choosing our home as your travel destination. FRED

Jason, We advised you the pool / spa were under maintenance prior to your check-in. You didn't respond to us. I thought you were cool with this. We of course turn off the AC when the home is not occupied to save power. We are in a historic drought, and it is up to all of use to use electricity responsibly. All you have to do is, adjust the AC to your comfort level up on checking in. Even all the guests pay for the cleaning fee, it does not mean our guests can trash the home on the way out. We faced such human behavior in the past that we regarded as irresponsible. We charge extra for groups larger than 6. The booking app does not distinguish between adults vs a new born so we could not make any fee exceptions... Regarding the financial compensation, you could have talked to us and we could have worked it out instead of posting a review, but you chose not to communicate with us. If it is still possible, would you contact us so we can communicate about these issues? Thank you.

Thank you for the comments about our home. Please see our comments in response below. Hopefully we will address most if not all of the issues raised. "The home was lovely, all bit it a little tired inside, chipped paint and patched walls waiting to be painted. " FRED: We will need to patch up all the walls...or cover them up with new paintings. "The outside yard and play areas were really dirty. Didn't look like anything had been cleaned for a long time. We had to hose off all the furniture, trampoline, slide and kids play area before we allowed the kids to play. " FRED: Visalia is a dusty town, sitting in the middle of farmland. We will do our best effort cleaning the outdoor play areas, and have them ready to enjoy, both the trampoline and the playset. "The interior of the home was "surface" clean but certainly could benefit from a deep clean, kitchen cabinets inside and out, sticky and crumbs, baseboards, doors and frames were dirty etc. The kitchen would benefit from a few more conveniences as there is minimal silverware and utensils. " FRED: We will do kitchen utensil inventory, and make sure we have plenty of them. In addition, we will deep clean these areas. Kitchen cabinets inside/out. Baseboards Doors and frames too. "I would strongly recommend changing the auto schedule for the robot floor cleaner in the master bedroom downstairs - it went on and scared us at 3.30am!!!" FRED: I already re-programmed the living robot to start running at 1PM. Some guests must have changed the schedule to 3AM. We apologize. I put away the remote so the next guests won't change the start time.

This traveler was exceptionally ... bad. He was very difficult and an outlier among the travelers. He probably represents the least informed travelers group. We clearly have established House Rules with details about things at the House. He should have read and agreed to it when booking. We would like to respond to his comments as follows. SPA POLICY The renter should have read our policy on VRBO. Our spa policy is clearly stated on our House Rules, 7-10pm. We told him we would be flexible to turn on the spa at times more convenient to his group, but let us know the time and duration. He simply responded by saying leaving it on 24 hours a day. His complaint began non stop from there because of this issue.... even though we honored his request to have the spa on! Then he began tampering with the Spa equipment by himself without our approval. There is a sign at the Pool/Spa equipment that says, "DO NOT TAMPER. These are automated equipment...". That was violating our House Rule. Even though the extra Spa time was extraordinary, we honored it and didn't charge him. The guests may have confused between an indoor hot tubs at other rentals vs outdoor spa ... where enormous amount of gas/electricity is required to run it 24 hours! Even though he was difficult, we kept the spa and waterfalls running continuously for him and his large group of about 20 guests (declared 8 guests) for the entire day. He wasn't even happy or grateful about that?! DUST IN THE HOUSE This was a very difficult traveler who is perhaps just out of the woods, and by then way, Tracy is a man, not a woman as he claims to be. When he claimed about the house being dirty, we offered to have our house manager to come over to check out the house. All he said was, no it was a small thing, no worries. Was this a tactic to scam money from the owner or what?! About Tracy's statement "He told me to not use VRBO in the future". This is false. How in the world would we do that? VRBO and we are happy partners. "He called the poly 2 time because we did not park correctly" is an outright lie. We did not call the police on such trivial matters. We however advised him to repark his or his guests car that was parking over the walkway. There were at least 4 available parking spaces in the driveway and in the garage. We had to respect our neighbors. HOUSE RULE VIOLATIONS Tampered with Spa equipment. Tampered with security camera by disconnecting/ tilting many outdoor cameras. Rude in texting as if demanding things beyond House House... without being thankful.

The guests left the our retreat home in clean and as good as they found it. Very responsible guests. It was a pleasant experience to have such guests. We kept our communication open with the guests and made sure their family enjoyed the pool and spa. We would love to host them again. Much appreciated for the positive feedback.
