Welcome to our Broad Ripple ANIMAL HOUSE! A uniquely beautifully decorated animal themed, light and bright bungalow in the heart of Broad Ripple. Our charming home is just 3 blocks to Broad Ripple Ave where you can enjoy all the area has to offer including shops, restaurants, pubs, galleries, art and more! Ride a bike, or take a stroll on the scenic open air Monon trail, just one block away! Our home is perfect for small families and couples coming to town to indulge, explore, or just relax!

Our thoughtfully designed home includes the following rooms with sleeping accommodations with memory foam mattresses in three spaces.

Master Bedroom - Relaxing space with a queen bed and a view to the back yard, with dual entry from the den and kitchen.

2nd Bedroom - Quaint and cute bedroom with a double bed and closet just off of the living room.

3rd Bedroom / Den / Office - Bright common room with twin day bed for sleeping, relaxing or reading with lots of natural light, with a desk and chair. The upstairs bathroom is accessible from this room. This room is a shared space with the upstairs bathroom off of this room.

Living Room - Lit up and inviting living space with a comfy queen fold out sofa bed.

Basement / Rec Room - Fun space with large screen TV, Darts, Board Games and a convertible queen size couch bed. This area has the 2nd bathroom with a shower and the laundry room with a washer dryer. This is the 4th room that we use for recreation. Technically it is not a bedroom as there is no egress to outside of the house.

Outdoor - Relaxing outdoor space under covered area with lights, seating, a firepit, and a BB!Q grill.

Our guests have access to the entire house and garage with the exception of our supply closet which is locked. Bikes, helmets, and bike locks are located in the garage for guest use. Please use bikes at your own risk but we advise that you use the provided helmets and follow all traffic laws for your safety. Stay Safe!

We (Ben and Kat) are usually available by phone if you have any questions at all. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you need anything. We want you to enjoy your stay as much as absolutely possible!

Broad Ripple is roughly 30 Minutes to the airport, and 20 minutes to downtown Indy. The convenient and popular Redline rapid transit bus system will take you from Broad Ripple to downtown and back along College Avenue. We also provide a couple of cruiser bikes you can use and there is the Monon Trail less than a block away for miles miles of riding!

Something to note: Our home is an older bungalow with original hardwood flooring that does make some noise when walking around. While most find this a charming characteristic of the home, we have had a guest mention this to us so we want to make sure everyone knows before booking!

This place was very cute, clean, and had everything you needed. It was just as pictured. Nice little outdoor area, and sun porch. They also had games for the kids, and all the basics needed - coffee, paper products, shampoo/conditioner, plenty of blankets, etc. The owners were friendly and communicative. We'd stay again. Only real complaint was the driveway is very narrow and on a semi busy road, and the floors are really squeaky so you could hear where everyone was - neither are a deal breaker.

Stayed October 14-20 2025 for the World Food Championship event, which was held at the Fairgrounds. Property location and the neighborhood was perfect. Property was very clean and you felt very safe. Good walking distance to bars and restaurants. Decor was welcoming and the whimsical animals theme was very entertaining. We will return next year for another stay.

Broad Ripple is a cool neighborhood and we could walk to restaurants as well as the express bus to downtown. The home was clean, pretty, and comfortable.The listing needs to be updated as there is NOT a twin day bed in the "3rd Bedroom / Den/ Office" and the living room photo shows a different couch (it's a fold-out bed now).

Loved this little gem

We had a cozy stay at this little house. It was so clean, check-in so easy and hosts were super responsive. Kitchen had everything we needed, AC was great, showers and water pressure excellent. Comfy beds, plenty of towels and two tv areas. We loved being so close to Broad Ripple and it was soooo nice that they had two bikes for us to use. We would happily stay here again!

So much better than a hotel

Loved everything about our stay! We were there for a baseball tournament and we had all of the comforts of home plus much more. The animal themed decor was adorable and very well done. We both enjoyed our own bedrooms, bathrooms and have laundry and a kitchen. Would definitely stay here again. Quiet neighborhood. Wonderful communication by the hosts! Thanks you for an amazing stay.

This home is well appointed and in the most perfect location. Walking distance to shopping and tons of food. I was able to find everything that I needed during the stay in the kitchen and bathrooms. The beds were comfy too! The hosts are easy to reach and friendly. Thank you for a wonderful week during the IDRS conference. We will be back!

My husband and I stayed here for the weekend. The house was in a great location with access to walking trails and parks. Just 30 minutes from the airport & 15 min from the childrenā€™s museum. Master bedroom had a firm mattress which we found very comfortable. It was also very clean and had everything we needed for our infant (pack n play, tub, etc). The homeowners were very communicative and kind. They even had complimentary snacks for guests, which was really thoughtful. Would stay here again and highly recommend!

Perfect location!

The location was perfect for our weekend in Indy - easy walk to Broad Ripple and quick drive to Butler and downtown. The house was clean and cozy and had everything we needed, and our 5-year-old loved the animal-themed decor :)

College move in

We had a great time at this house. It was perfect for our family of 5 while we moved 2 of our kids into college. The house had everything we needed and was spotless. We definitely would stay here again and highly recommend this house. Perfect location as well.

Hello! We are Ben and Kat from Arlington, Washington which is about an hour north of Seattle and an hour south of Vancouver, BC Canada where we live and work together full-time in our daily careers in the technology and security industry.

We enjoy spending time outdoors hiking and being active as well as traveling and experiencing new places and meeting new people from all walks of life. We have done an extensive amount of travel between serving in the US Navy and living around the country from Washington and California to New Jersey.

We host a few homes we call Animal House Retreats. They are located in the heart of Broad Ripple Indianapolis, in the Bavarian Village town of Leavenworth in Washington State, and in Downtown San Antonio. We love helping our guests to create memorable and lasting memories through experiences and comfortable home away-from-home accommodations in great walkable locations!

We are passionate about animal rescues and donate a portion of all proceeds from our homes to support finding forever families for dogs and cats. We look forward to hosting you!
