The house was beautiful with an open space. It had great outdoor furniture that overlooked the water. It was very clean and smelled amazing. The only negative was the bed I slept on was very hard but not sure about the others. I would definitely stay here again. Also the host was very responsive.

The house and property were beautiful, we only stayed one night. We had booked because our daughter was playing in the state golf tournament at Glenwood Country Club we live a good ways away so we booked a house. We loved it. We took a walk down the river before dark, it was so nice. We enjoyed the outdoor space that night. Everything met our needs for the night. We are definitely thinking about booking a week at some point and bringing the whole family.

We booked this cabin for our fall vacation with the kids. We loved the property, which was as described and depicted on the homepage. Everything was clean and check-in was very easy. We enjoyed the creek in front of the building and the town of Glenwood with its friendly people. Would definitely recommend this cabin!

We had our wedding in a next door property and we used this house for the girls to get ready! It was perfect, the hosts were great and we loved the entire property!

Our stay at The Last of my Kind couldn’t have been more perfect! The host was quick to respond to my questions prior to arrival! The home is very roomy, clean and decorated nicely! It felt like home to us. The kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans, dishes, glasses, utensils and silverware. There were even a few seasonings available for people that don’t travel with their own! The river is absolutely amazing. It’s river rock botttom and very clear. There is a very slow moving slough just steps from the house. My son loved playing and fishing there! Honestly, we will definitely stay here again. Best vacation ever!

Excellent Property

The property was great! Wish the grill was in a covered area for when it rained. Also, the grass needed to be mowed, but other than this we loved it.

Hit All the Right Notes

We loved our time at Last of My Kind. Touches like quality soaps, nice kitchen ware, & comfortable outdoor chairs made the experience feel elevated and not like just another river rental. The owner was quick with a response to a question during our stay. 2 bedrooms downstairs and bunk room upstairs was perfect for our age range.

Family vacation:wedding

Our daughter got married IN the Caddo River so we had no idea what we were getting ourselves into, lol. The place was the most amazing unexpected wedding venue, ever. Communication with the owner was amazing. We didn’t want to leave but will definitely be back. Not only was the accommodation fantastic but the peace and quiet was absolutely wonderful.

Had a nice time

The house is right next to the river where you can walk down to. This can be the same path that the canoe flow down to, you will just have to get pick up yourself and bring your own tubes. The house has just about everything we need, do keep in mind that since it's next to the river, there are a lot of bugs and mosquitoes around, so just remember to spray when you go or sit at the patio. Owner is very nice and quick to answer any questions we have. We had a great time during our stay.

Great Holiday Getaway

This is our second year to stay at a property on the Caddo for the Christmas Holidays. With our kids having families of their own, we needed a place to accommodate my husband and I plus six other adults and three young children two and under. This property was perfect, it had everything we needed. We will definitely be returning!

Relaxing Family Getaway

As soon as we walked in it was welcoming and comfortable. The kids loved playing in the river and the games in the family room. It was a good location for visiting to the Crater of Diamonds as well as Hot Springs, while still having plenty of time to relax at the river. We found everything we needed in the kitchen, including a Keurig and tea kettle, as well as sticks for smore's over the firepit. Yes there were bugs and spiders outside- it is at the river after all- but we never saw any inside other than the occasionally fly we probably let in. We didn't fish on this trip but we did snorkel and saw many catch-worthy fish in there.

River vacation with family

I have family in Glenwood and we ran into these properties last year at a family gather, I knew I wanted to come back. The Last of My Kind was perfect for myself, my husband, and our 3 boys. We also had plenty of visitors from my nearby family members ranging from adults down to 2 years. Everyone had a great time! We fished, swam, floated the Caddo, and went to nearby Hot Springs to go to the Amusement/Water park. We will definitely be back!

So much fun

Perfect for adults and children! The kids love the river and it’s an excellent swimming location. They can fish and hunt for crawfish and frogs all day and all night. Super clean area, super safe, beautiful location and property, relaxing vacation spot and just a short drive from other tourist spots.

Wow! What a great place, it was a home away from home. 50’ from a picturesque river.

We walked in and felt right at home. The owner had everything you could think of available. The location next to the river allowed easy access and my 10 year old pulled 9 small mouth bass. It was such a comfortable stay. It’s location is prefect for enjoying the area attractions, Crystal mines, Hot Springs, Crater of Diamonds Ka-Do-Ha and the entire Caddo River. Definitely will return!

Amazing view and relaxing time!

House was beautiful! The view was amazing! Such a great weekend stay! Loved the game room and the wrap around deck! Plenty of space for the whole family and guests visiting!

Thanksgiving Retreat

Our family met here to celebrate Thanksgiving and we truly enjoyed our stay at Last of My Kind. It was spacious, beautifully decorated, and easily accommodated all of our needs. The kitchen was well stocked with all utensils and dishwear we need to make our planned meals. The owners were extremely responsive and welcoming. The location next to the river was perfect and the kids loved exploring the banks. We highly recommend this location!
