Renovated in 2022, this is a 2 bedroom river cottage just a short walk from the Santa Fe River. Conveniently located near several Florida springs, great dining, & unique shopping. Check out our guest book for more info. **We highly recommend purchasing trip insurance that will cover a variety of issues that may arise prior or during your trip. Examples are medical events that prevent or shorten your stay, vehicle problems or accidents, and natural disasters (i.e. tropical storms and hurricanes) that require mandatory or suggested evacuation. Florida in the summer is always subject to strong storms which often cause lengthy power outages that can affect the property and could electively cause guests to shorten their stay. Trip insurance would potentially cover the remaining days depending on the policy purchased.

Very quiet. Lots of deer in the area. Very laid back community. Santa Fe river was low which made it crystal clear and beatiful.

We were able to get away for a few days! We enjoyed the nearby springs and the ability to come back to have home cooked meals in a beautiful cottage! Everything was wonderful and the owners were very accommodating and communicative!

We absolutely enjoyed our stay at Huck's Hideaway! This lovely, quiet home is the perfect base camp for exploring several springs and state parks in a very close proximity. While relaxing at the house, we saw turkeys, deer and a huge barrred owl. We hope to come back and would highly refer/recommend this lovely home and property. TY!

Enjoyed our stay

The tv wouldn’t work in the spare room. The pull out couch bed frame was broke . The front door digital lock had issues . The rental was located near springs

Extremely Clean

The house was very clean and smelled wonderful. My friends and I did a kayak trip on the river and the convenience of the location to the boat ramp was wonderful. Unfortunately, a family emergency occurred so we did not stay overnight. I informed the host and got a reply within the hour. I would definitely recommend 10/10.

A bit rustic, but comfortable, quiet, and enjoyable

Picture & description useful. Very clean and very well supplied. Many amenities. Could use some minor repairs and paint. In the woods - which is a plus. River not as close as expected, but a short drive to a number of state parks offering boating and hiking which is why we were there. Steep stairs to second floor bedrooms. Would stay again.

Very Nice

Had a very nice stay at this house. Everything you need is there and it is so quiet and cozy. House was clean and everything functioned properly. The hosts are kind and kept contact with everything.

Quiet and Very Close to The Boat Ramp

At first, we booked the house for August, but storm Debby rolled in can caused the river to flood and the boat ramp to be closed. They were very understanding and worked with us to get a new date on the schedule. We liked how the boat ramp was literally just a couple hundred yards from the house, which made it very easy to get in and out. The house was very nice and the neighborhood was quiet. The driveway circled back to the side road which made getting in and out easy without backing up. We will definitely stay there again!

Staying here is not recommended, during our visit a storm came thru knocking out both power and water. Owner showed no concern and offered no solution. You'd think the property owner would have had a backup system. We were forced to find other accommodations as the power and water were out for twelve plus hours.

Comfortable and Cozy

We stayed for three nights and had a really nice time. It felt like a home away from home. The house was clean and cozy. I really loved how they had a lot of cookware lol because I cooked a lot for my kids birthday. I enjoyed the seclusion of the home without feeling totally isolated in the area. My kids and I had a wonderful time visiting the nearby springs. I would definitely stay here again! Thank you!

Family Trip

Short 2 day stay to visit the springs with grandchildren. Beautiful spot, the kids loved walking to the river. Even met some locals who were friendly and answered all the kids questions.😊

Peaceful and comfortable

My family had a short but great visit to Ichetucknee Springs. We loved this river house and would definitely stay here again. Shawn and Jade obviously take pride in making this property comfortable and accessible. We hope to come back soon!

Beautiful and peaceful!

The owners were amazing and helpful! It was fully stocked with everything we needed! It was close to all of the local springs and destinations. We will be staying here again the next time we come to Ginnie Springs!

Wedding Weekend Getaway

This was the perfect cozy cottage. Nice private Property. Everything we needed Was there. The location is amazing. We even seen Deer, A lot of Em. We had our17 months old and she loved it too! She thought the UNO Cards were there just for her 😊 . This is One of the Nicest Places we have Stayed at and Would Definitely Stay Again. Everything was Clean and Communication with Jade and Shawn was Excellent.

Ginnie Springs for my Birthday

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. It was just a short drive to the Springs and it was a very comfortable house that had everything that I needed for the short time I was there. The only issue is that I didn't get to stay long enough. The next time I come, I'm hoping to stay closer to a week rather than just a few days. It's also only a 10-15 minute drive into town where you can pick up any groceries you need. For a place that's not that far from civilization, it gives you a nice country feel and it's also an extra bonus that it's right across the street from the Santa Fe river.

Recently fully renovated. It is located in the rural area of north central Florida. The Santa Fe River is within walking distance from the property. A great place to fish or bring a canoe or kayak. Seclusion with no neighboring structures in site from the house. The quietness of the property is extremely relaxing.

This property is quaint and quiet. It is located within a 5 minute walk to the Santa Fe river where there is a boat launching ramp for those that like to spend time on the river. It is also located within a 15 minute drive of several of the local springs.
