Beautiful home and easily one of the best-appointed rentals we’ve ever stayed in! Kieren & Campbell truly thought of everything. The kitchen is incredibly well stocked with every piece of cookware and every essential you could possibly need, making it easy to settle in and immediately relax.We made so many wonderful memories here—from swimming off the dock and enjoying lazy days on the boat to simply spending time together by the water. Some of our favorite moments were starting and ending each day on the porch, taking in the absolutely breathtaking views.The home is stunning, comfortable, and thoughtfully equipped in every way. Kieren & Campbell were gracious hosts who clearly put so much care into making their guests feel at home. It was the perfect place to relax, recharge, and make lasting memories. We would absolutely stay here again and can’t recommend it enough!

Captivating River House

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed this historic waterfront home. It has plenty of space for a big crew. The house and grounds completely capture the charm of the Thousand Islands. We loved its close proximity to downtown Clayton and the ideal swimming environment. We can’t wait to visit again!

We had a lovely relaxing trip to The Bluffs! With the help from some amazing hosts, our family fishing trip was a huge success, celebrating my grandfathers 90th birthday. If you are looking for the perfect space to spend quality time with family, while having many options to explore the island, then this is your spot! One highlight I would like to point out is how comfortable the beds were- in every room! We all had the most amazing sleep, which can be hard when traveling. For what it’s worth, the pictures on this listing do not do it justice- just an amazing home and property! We can’t wait to come back one day.

What an incredible cottage and property! The view was breathtaking! It was perfect for our large group getting together for a family reunion! The hosts Campbell and Kieran were very personable and accommodating as well as informative. They were easy to contact and responded quickly. They were helpful with restaurant suggestions and making reservations for boat rental. Never too busy to answer a question!The beautiful cottage was very inviting and warm with great attention to detail. The bedrooms had very comfortable beds and were spacious for our large group! It Felt like a home away from home but with every luxury you need!The front porch was perfect for morning coffee with peaceful relaxing views of the river! In the evening we would enjoy jumping off the great swim dock. Providing great family fun.The spacious family room provided an area to talk and catch-up, play games and watch a movies! A relaxing and inviting space with plenty of seating. The kitchen had every cooking tool you could ever need! The large dining table was perfect for everyone to gather for our meals. The outdoor paths were nicely lit up in the evening so you could see where you were going . The smart home features made it very nice to navigate both day and night. The fire pit was a favorite among the kids to roast marshmallows and share laughs. The covered boat dock was very convenient and helpful especially when it would rain. The property was well kept and very private! Can’t wait to return!

An Amazing Experience

My friends and I have stayed at several locations and islands over the years but few can compare to Bluff Island and our hosts Kieren and Campbell. The island has it all: privacy, beautiful fauna, deep water protected docks for 3 boats all undercover, deep water swimming area and a beautiful sandy beach. The house itself is an icon of the area. We spent a lot of time on the spacious front porch watching the freighters and boats go by and were even blessed with a double rainbow our first night there. The bedrooms are lovely and very comfortable with high quality linens and mattresses, 4 of which are king sized and that is a rare find on an island! Oh, did I mention the A/C! We loved it and hope to go back!

1,000 Islands Fun

We had an incredible experience at what we called the “Red House.” Campbell & Kieren were amazing hosts and VERY responsive to questions. The property is beautiful! We enjoyed the swimming cove & kayaks, walking through the property and to the bluffs, morning coffee and evening wine on the porch while watching the ships cruise by (gorgeous view), and the convenient boat house for our daily excursions. My wife’s parents and my sister in law and nephew joined our family of 4 and we had more than enough room. The only downside was a week wasn’t long enough. We’ll be back! Highly recommend!

1000 Islands at its best

I grew up going to this area every summer. This house offers one of the best island experiences around. Kieran and Campbell have bought this 120 year old classic and are restoring it to its former glory. The beds and linens are heavenly, the verandah is perfection, and the swimming setup, with both shallow and deep entry points, is second to none. The owners are easy to reach, highly accommodating, and have a good local support network when they are away. All in all, the place is amazing. Everything in the house is either ancient or brand new, and they are rapidly going through and replacing (thoughtfully) the old stuff. So it will continue to get better over the coming years. All in all, very glad to see owners investing the place who have seem to have genuine love for this very special place.

Iconic and Incomparable Thousand Island Property

My family and I have rented vacation properties in the Thousand Islands for several years and there is none more quintessential than The Bluffs. Mornings begin with coffee and a book sitting on the porch overlooking the water and mid day is spent down at the beach and dock floating in inner-tubes recounting antics of the night before. Sonos plays music throughout the house and the kitchen is stocked to accommodate multiple course, sophisticated evening dinners! Cameron and Kieran are fantastic hosts and we hope to spend many more summers vacationing in their beautiful home!
