Welcome to the Coconut Cottage! Adorable historic coastal bungalow 10 minutes from Siesta Key and beaches! (4.5 Miles away from South Siesta Key beach access). (North Jetty beach (Venice) is approx 9 miles in other direction). Interior of home has been recently updated. Quaint and cozy feel with coastal charm. Home is approx. 700 sq. feet with 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. Open kitchen area. Smart TV. . Free WIFI. Large spacious partially fenced backyard with tropical vibe and many trees which is what makes this property unique! Enjoy a nap in the hammock or sunbathing in the private backyard. There is a small outdoor screened in porch off the carport which is perfect for sipping morning coffee. Open patio area with seating, firepit, and string lights for added ambiance! Nearby public park with kayak/boat launch within walking distance. Up and coming neighborhood west of U.S. 41 which is highly sought out and where the locals prefer to be. Lots of shopping and dining nearby, quiet residential neighborhood. Come enjoy Sarasota and our lovely weather!

Very cozy and comfortable. Everything we needed was there. The outdoor area was very big and landscaped very nice. Used the fire pit several times. Would love to stay again.

The cottage is so cute and cozy. It is small but, had everything that we needed. The beds were comfortable. It is on a very quiet street. The backyard is large and very nice. We really enjoyed our time there.

Comfy beds and feather pillows make all the difference.We brought our own bikes and kayaks so we didnt use the house gear but the fact that they were here, that was amazing.We will definitely be back.

Cute cottas in Vamo. We had never been to Sarasota FL and this was a great trip. The cottage was very cozy and perfect for our little family of 3. Very dog friendly (we left our pup at home with Dad). We used the kayaks and bikes and cooked many meals. It’s very convenient to grocery stores. It’s about 15-30 minutes to a beach depending on time of day and which one you go to. This property has a cute back yard where I think I could have spent an entire afternoon. I enjoyed drinking my coffee out there and reading in the sunshine. Beautiful stay at a quaint cottage. Thank you!

We stayed for about one month for work. The area is nice a quiet. The cottage is comfortable and convenient to local retail and restaurants. I'd recommend to others.

Perfect for our stay. Lovely home. Great layout. Huge, beautiful yard.

We loved staying at Coconut Cottage. Perfect for my husband, me, and our small dog. Very thankful this home is pet friendly. Has everything you need for a great day at the beach too. Highly recommend.

Adorable coastal gem

My husband and I had an amazing stay in this adorable coastal cottage. The Vamo boat launch is literally the next street over and we enjoy kayaking, fishing and bike riding the neighborhood. Our dog particularly looooved the big fenced in backyard along with the dog toys that were supplied in the house. All beach supplies, toys and chairs were provided. Thank you so much for the amazing stay and hospitality!

Visiting parents nearby in Sarasota

Very nice property with a beautiful back yard. Mom and young adult son stayed and had plenty of space. Wonderful to have kayaks and access to Sarasota bay right in the neighborhood. The owner is very responsive. Would definitely book this property again. Thank you!!

Great place!

My teenage son and I spent two nights at the house and it was just right. The neighborhood was quiet and the house met our needs. The kayaks were a bonus! Communication with the owner was excellent and appreciated. All good!

Excellent updated little cottage with nice backyard. Well decorated, nicely equipped and very cozy. Great to have the kayaks! Just 7 min walk to the launch place one street over. Just 15 Min drive to Siesta Key beach. close to major stores and some nice restaurants. Owner responded within minutes. Will come again.

Unusual

Not fair to write a review as wife broke her ankle early in the month so visit was not comparable to a regular visit. Host was very quick to react to our "Not so usual" needs.

Wish we could have stayed longer!

We had a such great time for our month long stay in Vamo. Our dog loved the big back yard. The house was cozy and sun filled, and the neighborhood very quiet. It worked well for us. We made use of the kayaks and paddled out to midnight pass. My husband enjoyed playing Pickleball at nearby Potter park. We did some fishing, hit the beaches, enjoyed the sarasota downtown market, Sharky’s on the pier, Evie’s tiki bar, Brohard dog beach, outdoor live music, and explored many other spots that were just a short drive. In the evening, we would often walk the dog just one street over on Vamo Dr to view the sunsets.

Beautiful Property, Clean, Great Yard, Excellent Location.

Located on a quiet dead-end street, yet just a few blocks from all the stores and restaurants. Two kayaks provided allowed us to get out on the Intercoastal Waterway with boat access just 1 block away. We were on a fishing trip, so it was perfect location with access to many popular beaches and fishing areas. House was a very clean, updated 2 bedroom/1 Bath with lots of great counterspace and everything you need to prepare meals. Comfortable beds. Huge backyard with grill, fire pit, patio lights. Even the small things that made a difference....beach chairs, beach umbrellas, coolers, kayak dollies, a hose to wash sand off the beach gear, washer/dryer...it made it as comfortable as being at home. . Would definitely stay here again!

Comfortably Adequate

This rental was clean and the owner was extremely communicative and quick to respond when a couple minor issues came up. She was also very fast at getting things resolved. I gave this house 4 stars because it was completely qdequate for what you might need durong your stay, however it lacked some extra comforts or conveniences. For 4 adults we had just enough towels, the odd layout in the kitchen made it difficult to locate things to use, alot of bedding and blankets were damp whem we arrived, and there are several handwritten notes around the place ("owners closet" "take the tradh out on tuesdays" ect) that didnt make you feel quite welcome or on vacation. We would consider staying again as there was nothing lacking, but would try to find another place with the extra details first.

Thank you for the feedback Christy. We will add a few more towels. The reason for the notes is to help guests (for example closet is labeled owners closet so guests understand why it is locked and no access, for the trash we try and make sure it gets taken out every week to prevent pests/bugs and to keep the surroundings extra clean). I am sorry you found these things did not make you feel as you were on vacation, although the intentions are solely to help the guest understand the basic workings of the property and for added comfort and cleanliness for all. The kitchen is a tad bit small- that’s why it’s a “cottage” and we hope that our accurate & detailed pictures give you a good idea of what to expect prior to arrival as far as layout, etc...
