Comfortable House

Our family (2 couples and another adult) stayed at this property for 4 nights and we were very comfortable. Its very convenient to restaurants and shopping. The beds were comfortable. We would definitely consider staying here again in the future.

Family getaway

We enjoyed our time! Great location to all stores and close to the trampoline park for the kids. Very clean and safe quiet neighborhood. No issues while we were there to contact manager.

Just Right

This property was perfect for our extended weekend stay to visit with our Marine. 👍. The neighborhood is very nice and friendly and the house was the perfect size for our adult family of four. 👍

Cozy place

The house was as it was shown on VRBO. It was close to our jobsite and close to the night life in jacksonville. Eveeyrhing was comfortable.

Family funeral attendance

It was a quit neighborhood, which is what we really needed, my father has dementia and the house was a very calming space. We like to cook and the kitchen area was great, a few more kitchen cookwear items would be nice. Would look into staying here again. The price was reasonable and the house was easy to get to. Brandon is a wonderful host.

Nice getaway close to many restaurants and stores

We enjoyed our stay at the property. It is a nice a nice neighborhood with a great little park down the street 5 minutes walk, which is perfect for a dog walk. The house is nicely furnished and clean and the backyard is great. The kitchen is well stocked. We really enjoyed it. Very close to the Commons area and plenty of stores, restaurants, etc. About 30 minutes from Surf City, which is an easy drive. In summary, great place in a nice area with lots to do close by.

A home away from home

It was a very comfortable place. It was close to family. The only things were the roaches, dryer and garbage disposal doesn't work and the back deck was splintered and a few little wholes and not fenced in so we could've let the toddler's out to play. But other than that it was AMAZING

Nice but lacks attention to detail

Property could use some additional attention. I arrived but cleaning lady was still there, even 3 hours after my check in time. Trash was not collected for several days, should have been removed by cleaning lady. Other minor repairs and extras would make this property one of the nicer rentals I've experienced.

LIES! DO NOT BOOK.

I was under the impression that the pictures told the truth of MOST of the "good" reviews. LIES! My 2 teen boys had to share the broken couch sofa bed because the twin beds in the ad and pictures did not exist. Nor did the couch in the picture. The couch they had to share was broken. The boys were miserable.(PICTURES INCLUDED)They said garage included but I think someone was living there. We did not have access and there was a small sign that said do not enter.The holes in the outside table & deck area was so hazardous. My sister took a spill but she didnt make a big deal of it. It couldve been really bad. I wrote this in the binder and I was thanked for "my feedback". The host was flippant and deflective.The house is clean. The only good thing about it. Shout-out to the cleaners. I took pictures of how I left the property so no problems on my end.I'm sure that it will be nice whenever they actually fix it. It's clear that they won't remove this listing so please look at the pictures and decide accordingly. IMO, NOT WORTH IT.

Annual Family Reunion

My family and I visit Jacksonville every year at this time for our family reunion. This was the first year that we decided to stay in a short term rental instead of the hotel that was recommended. The home was THE BEST IDEA EVER! It was clean, spacious, and in close proximity to shops, restaurants, the reunion venue, and our family members that live in the area. Communication with the owner was professional and consistent. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this property if you are in the area and want to have a comfortable and relaxing vacation.

Very clean

The place was wonderful. It was clean and had plenty of bathrooms. A fully stocked kitchen and close to shopping. The binder made by the owners was a nice touch for out of state people like me!

House was spacious, beds were comfortable and we enjoyed cooking in the kitchen. The house was decorated very nicely and the kitchen was well stocked. The communication with the owner was a bit slower than I have experienced with others VRBO owners.

SCAM ALERT! Unsafe and horrible! DO NOT BOOK

Upon arrival, there was a car in the driveway and people inside the house. The house did not appear safe. I immediately contacted the homeowner who answered his phone by saying “Yeah, whassup?” I explained the situation & he told me he didn’t know who was there and I should just go inside. He then said he couldn’t talk and abruptly hung up. I contacted VRBO and explained the situation. I also recommended they contact the police to surveil the house to verify my experience. I was not going to go inside alone or with my daughter. They agreed to refund me and offered to help me find a hotel. The homeowner was contacted & he changed his story and refused my refund. I will write a review everywhere as well as contact the county, small claims court and mire. No one should experience what I experienced. I drove many hours to arrive at this location. The host was unprofessional and didn’t care. This was a total scam. Horrible experience. Please do not reserve this house. You’ll fall prey to this scam!!!

Perfect for 3 Couples visiting Jacksonville NC

We enjoyed the visit, finding the location and entering the home and met all our expectations. We discovered minor issues with the coffee pot and the broken wine opener. The contact quickly resolved the wine opener by reimbursing us for our replacing it. The scent of the detergent on the sheets and towels was a bit overwhelming. Consider using fragrance free laundry products. The ice machine wasn’t fully operational but we could reach inside to grab ice. The requirement to strip beds and wash towels and bedding before 11 am checkout was inconvenient, and did not provide for a relaxed morning. There were cleaning supplies and condiments available. All in all a positive experience for flexible travelers.
