Secluded Bayfront Cottage with Stunning views

Very unique property with no neighbors on the bay for 1/2 mile to the south and 1/4 mile to the North. Simply stunning private views of Grand Traverse Bay with fire pit area. While it is walking distance to the Leelanau Sands Casino (across the street), you can have all the privacy you wish in a cottage with an unbelievable view of the bay. (Guests have remarked how amazing it is to wake up with floor to ceiling windows with a panoramic view of the bay and the sunrise) Please see the map in the pictures on getting to the home. Just doubled the living space with a brand new addition and have completely redone every aspect of the home from the kitchen, bathrooms to outside deck. The common response we get is that the pictures do not do it justice. We think you will agree.

Book it! This property was perfect for our family as we stayed for my sonā€™s wedding which was held in the area. We couldnā€™t have asked for a more perfect booking! The view of the lake was stunning! Thank you to the owners for providing everything we needed!

We had the most incredible stay! From start to finish, it was everything we hoped for and more. The location was perfect ā€“ just a short drive to both downtown Suttons Bay and Northport, giving us easy access to great dining, local shops, and scenic views.The property itself was stunning. The view of the bay is absolutely breathtaking, and waking up to the sunrise every morning was a peaceful and tranquil experience weā€™ll never forget. The shallow blue waters right outside were perfect for our kids, who loved walking out into them. Water shoes are a must for exploring the shoreline, and we made great use of the water toys provided ā€“ especially the canoe! We spent hours out on the water, exploring the different shades of blue, and the life jackets and beach towels supplied made everything extra convenient.One of our favorite features was the firepit. It was enclosed and had its own dedicated space, which made it the perfect spot for an evening gathering. Whether we were roasting marshmallows or just enjoying the serene atmosphere, it felt like the ideal way to wind down.This truly felt like a vacation in every sense. The rental was well-equipped, cozy, and just a stoneā€™s throw from everything we wanted to do. It was the perfect place for relaxation and adventure. Weā€™re already looking forward to our next stay!

Last minute vacation

The house was great. It was right on the water, and the lake and area are beautiful. The only downside for us was that there wasn't much around to do. There are two small towns in either direction, but they only have a few restaurants and small shops. Traverse City has more and is about 45 minutes away. Since there wasn't a lot to do, it was one of the most relaxing vacations we have been on. The kids had a blast on the paddle boards and kayaks. Bring water shoes because the shore is rocky. Overall, it was a great vacation, and we would 100% stay again. Hosts were fantastic! Debbie was super responsive and answered all my questions before we arrived and checked in (via email) while we were there. If you want a relaxing vacation and love the lake, this is it!

Beautiful home and stunning views!

We took a little get away for the weekend and this home was absolutely perfect! Clean, well appointed and beautifully decorated. Close to so many fun things to do - wineries, shopping, casino, searching for petoskey stones, and so much more! We even saw deer on the property. But hands down, you canā€™t beat the view of the bay!

Relaxing Stay

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at the cottage. The view was indeed spectacular and we enjoyed watching the sunrise over the lake. The cottage had the amenities we were looking for and we especially enjoyed using the fire pit. We had a couple of minor issues but the owners were very responsive. We would definitely consider staying at the cottage again.

Perfect!

Our family vacation was absolutely perfect at this property. The location is phenomenal, private and quiet but close to everything. The home is beautiful and well maintained. The huge back deck is perfect for listening to waves a watching the boats and wildlife. The kayaks, paddle boards and canoe were such a delight for our family with teenage and elementary age boys. We found loads of Petosky stones and Leland blue in the bay around the property! The beach is a mix of rocky and sandy, but if you bring water shoes, itā€™s perfect. We wished we had booked 2 weeks instead of 1!

Fantastic

My family rents a home on Lake Michigan each summer and this is our favorite so far. Sleeping to the sound of the water is magical. The beach is great for swimming and using the water toys provided (kayaks, sups, canoe). The fire pit is very cool. We would have loved a king size bed in the master bedroom but other than that we have absolutely no complaints. We will be back!

Summer pure Michigan vacation

What a wonderful house and location. Very close to so much to do around Leelanau peninsula, but we didnā€™t want to leave the lake. Nice private beach (albeit a bit rocky, definitely want water shoes or sandals). We thoroughly enjoyed the stay and accommodations were great. Beautiful fire pit right on the beach.

Picturesque Lake Michigan Getaway

This was the perfect place to introduce our NYC friends to northern Michigan. The setting was beautiful, private, quiet and serene ā€” right on Lake Michigan with no neighbors to be seen or heard from on either side of the property. Yet it was very convenient to many picturesque destinations on the Leelanau Peninsula (only 5 min to Suttons Bay). We thoroughly enjoyed the deck and sunrise views, esp with 5 days of gorgeous weather. The cabin itself was spotless and the perfect arrangement for two couples with bedrooms and baths on opposite sides of the house. We appreciated the recent renovation and new appliances and spaciousness of the kitchen. Our typical day was lounging in the am with breakfast and lunch there every day, and exploring in the aft and enjoying many wonderful local restaurants for dinner options (Nittoloā€™s on Lake Leelanau, The Cove in Leland, North Country Kitchen & Bar in Suttons Bay, Trattoria Stella in Traverse City, and Blu in Glen Arbor). We didnā€™t end up using them, but had access to a really nice fire pit on the beach and a couple of kayaks and paddle boards plus a canoe. Debbie and Jeff were great hosts and very responsive whenever we had questions. We had a terrific stay and would highly recommend these hosts and their property. Loved it!

Best place to stay on the lake!!!!

My husband and I stayed for a week, with grandparents and 2 tweens. The house was spacious, well-laid out with tons of little thoughtful touches. The kitchen has everything one would need to cook for a family if that's your plan--don't sleep on all the phenomenal local restauants on the peninsula though! Debbie and her husband were fantastic hosts, even scheduling a call to discuss fun options in the area. Staying here couldn't have been easier, plenty of towels, linens, seating and comfortable beds. The view was beautiful, so peaceful and felt remote, yet near both Suttons Bay and Northport. I especially loved waking up to the sunrise through the wall of windows overlooking the lake, watching the boats go out and local waterfowl including 4 swans on the last morning. We split our time between swimming, kayaking and using the SUPs at the house and exploring other beaches on the peninsula. I would recommend staying here to anyone-- just bring some watershoes!

Beautiful waterfront house

We had a lovely stay! The house is new and comfortable with great finishes. It is well designed with big windows all along the back of the house, so no matter where you are it feels like youā€™re at the beach. The location is kind of funny with the gas station and casino somewhat visible from the front driveway, but when youā€™re in the house or out on the patio you canā€™t tell.

Excellent...Beautiful & Clean Cottage

We had a wonderful stay at the cabin. We didn't want to leave. Excellent, Excellent. Jeff & Debbie were wonderful. Great communication. Listing & pictures were exact. Cabin was beautiful. and clean. Surrounding property was beautiful and well kept. They had kayaks & a canoe for us to use. We were surprised. My kids loved it. Definitely will be renting again, My kids said this was the best vacation ever,

Don't hesitate

I was a little hesitant to book this one because of its proximity to the casino/ casino parking lot. That hesitation proved silly. This was a beautiful, private location. Great beach area for kids to play in, beautiful home with thoughtful amenities. Kudos to the owners on a job well done. Look forward to seeing pictures once the addition is complete (in blue šŸ˜‰)

The Perfect Spot

The pictures donā€™t do it justice. This cottage was amazing for a Memorial Day Weekend. I brought my two kids and we had a blast on the sandy private beach. No neighbors to worry about on either side was very relaxing as my kids can be loud. Great location, close to Downtown Suttons and Northport. Kids have asked I make sure we get this place every year!
