Excellent lake house and beautiful lake

I grew up on Klinger Lake and was excited to come back. It was just as clean and beautiful as I remember and the house was very clean as well.

Memorable Family Weekend

We booked this VRBO for a place to stay to go to the Notre Dame/OSU football game. It was a beautiful weekend to be on the lake and enjoy this lovely home. It was everything we could have asked for. Thank you, France, for your hospitality.

My vacation turned into a funeral.

This Host! When my head was spinning from the tragic loss of my Father—she was direct and kind! Completely understanding of the needs of our family! This Is a beautiful property; fully stocked well taken care of and very clean! I can’t thank you enough, France, for making our stay as low stress possible! 💯% recommend checking this place out💕

Beautiful Lake House

This place is great. The house and location are beautiful. Will definitely be back. We had a wonderful time and enjoyed our stay immensely. The lake was clear and warm, the paddle board and kayak were a great addition. Property manager was super nice and easy to communicate with. Next time we will hit up the marina and hopefully rent a boat.

Fantastic Vacation!

We really enjoyed our stay at this lake house. The place was really well appointed and had everything we could have imagined. So many items to enjoy the lake... kayak, paddle boards, floats, floating mat, fishing rod etc... We spent all our time outdoors on the amazing deck... enough room for all 12 of us! There were plenty of beach towels, bath towels, linens etc... It was truly paradise on this amazing lake and great cottage! We will definitely return next year!!!

Family funeral gathering place

Master bedroom had no privacy door and there was only 1 bathroom for 7 adults. Other than that it was fine, just not quite what we expected for the price.

Amazing Lake House

We LOVED this lake house! What a gem! We’ve rented many cottages, and this was by far the nicest place we’ve been to. Klinger Lake is the best lake in SW Michigan – sandy bottom and clear water! We rented a boat from the marina and enjoyed everything the lake had to offer. Great location - right on the water with a great dock and shallow water for swimming and many amenities like a paddleboard, kayak, floats etc! We enjoyed the beautiful sunsets, camp fires and fishing right off the dock. This property was recently renovated with a gorgeous kitchen and bathroom and lovely décor! It was very well appointed and had enough space to host all 12 of us for a family gathering. We wondered about the stairs to get to the lake house but it ended up being no problem at all. We stayed on the lake all day and night. The place was exceptionally clean and fully stocked with towels, pillows, comforters and more! By far our new favorite summer destination. Thank you for sharing this little piece of heaven with us!

Beautiful home on the best lake in the area

We just returned from 10 days at this property. We have rented through VRBO in this area roughly 10 times previously. I’ll share both pros and cons of the rental: Pros: The house is lovely, well appointed, and clean. Very beautifully furnished, with everything we needed for kitchen, towels, even lake toys. The beds upstairs were very comfortable. There are different spaces to relax, and there is a lot of sandy shallow water for about 40 feet off shore. We enjoyed the kayak and paddle boards. We grilled often too! The owners are very responsive and kind, and handled every issue with us quickly. (We had a couple of issues we encountered that were out of their control, and they were apologetic and quick to help us). We rented a boat from Corey Lake Marina, and they delivered it to the lake for us. We were able to tie up at the dock easily. That was a nice treat. Cons: The biggest issue is the stairs from the parking lot to the home. The photo only shows about half the stairs, there are in fact 72 steps from the parking area to the home. That was a struggle for me. We ordered Walmart groceries and had them delivered (tip well!) The second bathroom isn’t accessible inside the house. It’s located in the basement which you have to access by walking outside and down the stairs. It was outdated but usable. We used it a lot because the renovated bathroom in the house had a very narrow space for the toilet, and the adults in our family could not use it easily. The house only has AC in the upstairs room. They assured us that the house stays cool if windows stay shut during the day. I would disagree with that, it got pretty hot in the house, and we had to move the whole family upstairs to be able to sleep well. If it’s over 82 outside, be prepared to tolerate 75 and humid inside until late night when the house cools off (some people are okay with that temp, I’m sure. We prefer 69-71 inside). I would love to see blinds on the windows. The views are spectacular with the windows across the house on both floors, but they absorb the sun all afternoon and evening. So it’s bright at 6am and it’s hot by 3pm. Blinds would help keep it cool and ensure there is a little more darkness in the morning. We had a lovely time and really appreciated the home and all its offerings. We would recommend this location for vacation so long as your physically able to handle the steps!
