This is a lovely property. Franco and Marti were very helpful, kind and had some great information, especially about a great restarant dont the street. it was very quiet and the location couldn;t have been better. There could have been a little bit nicer soaps and shampoos available, but overall my husband andI still gave it 5 stars acrosss the board. Very, very, nice.

This place was absolutely amazing! The location was perfect, walking distance to shops and food. Mr. Franco met us when we checked in and gave us a tour of the place, he was nice and accommodating. I highly recommend this place if your staying in Florence!!

We left after 3 nights because Florence was sooo crowded. It was like Disneyworld on Spring break. Even with timed tickets you might stand in line for hours. We moved to hotel in outskirts of Florence and visited small hill towns. Very disappointed with chaos and crowds. This was my 5th time in Florence and never like this. Could not get Taxis. Paid 80 Uber to get to Airport which is 5 Km away.Place was fine and location was very conveniently located in the middle of the chaotic city.Kitchen not really for cooking. Host was kind. 5 pm is a very late check in time especially coming from the states and arriving in the morning. There was no flexibility on that. It leaves you 5 or 6 hours to kill. I would stay in hotel where you could at least leave your luggage. We had to pay to store luggage and then drag luggage through the crowds. Big undertaking.

Florence can be very busy, and we understand how challenging this can be especially for a much anticipated visit to this lovely city. Many guests enjoy exploring the historic center early in the morning and evening, leaving the daytime for the surrounding hill towns. Because of the busy time in Florence and for the apartment, your hosts, who can be flexible when possible, were unable to adjust the check-in time published in the listing and in the arrival information you received in advance. It is also possible to reserve early check in when available. The kitchen is described and photographed in detail in the listing which satisfies guests who enjoy the many excellent restaurants in this fine, central Florence location. Beautiful week in Florence

Our apartment, the Strozzi was perfect for my sister and I, the location could not be better and Mikki was so delightful. I would recommend this apartment highly. Loved, loved our stay.

Perfect florence getaway

The apartment worked out perfect for us it was very roomy and had everything we needed to relax after a busy day. The location was great you could walk anywhere in a short time. There was nice resturants very close. The hosts were very nice, they came early to let us in when we arrived 3 hrs before checkin We would rent this again for sure

Awesome, if you want class and Italian style this is it. Not a brand new hotel, this place has been in their family for generations and is run well. It was like going back in time and staying at grandma's house. Great location, 10 minute walk from SMN train station, everything walkable, highest recommendation.

The location of the apartment is outstanding. There are dozens of restaurants, markets and shops within a 1 to 2 minute walk, and several of the major piazzas, the Duomo, and the Ponte Vecchio are within a 3 to 8 minute walk. The apartment is on the 2nd floor (3rd floor US) of an old residential building with elevator access. You do need to be able to climb 6 steps to reach the lift, but that was communicated in advance so it was not a surprise or a problem. The unit is realatvely spacious with a very compact kitchenette that is contained in a cabinet that closes and coceals it. The furnishings are okder, but fit the personality pf the place and are serviceable. The unit is owned by a charming couple who live in another apartment on the floor and who met with us to review the ins and outs of the unit, the building, and the area in general. Overall we were very happy with our stay and would absolutely recommend this apartment.

Experience the real Firenze

The building is located in the center of Florence where the shopping is incomparable. You’re five minutes away from everything. The owners were gracious and wonderful hosts. The apartment is exactly as advertised. I enjoyed sitting on the balcony and had lots of room with a large sitting room bedroom dressing, room, and bathroom. I can’t wait to return!

A gem!

This is a great place for home base to explore Matera. It is easy walking distance of the Sassi and the center of the new town. The apartment is spacious and great for one or two couples. The terrace is special. We enjoyed cocktails and lunch on the terrace. The apartment seems to be recently renovated with all the conveniences required for staying a while and exploring Matera. We recommend the apartment and Matera.

Great location, interesting building

We had a little mixup with the checkin, I was a little confused on who we had to contact. The owners are a nice couple that are there off and on. There is a small elevator, it works well. The unit has a living room that opens onto a small patio. Bedroomhas a comfortable bed, a changing, large bathroom. The shower is not the best needs a little more power. The washer works well, no dryer, easy to hang up and dry. The location is perfect location to access the sites.

Great location. Quaint,building with tons of character. Welcoming apt. Has 2 acs...which we appreciated. (U have to pay an overage fee if you exceed the daily elec limit. We used it sparingly...only when home and not both acs at the same time. Owed 21 euro

Just the right place as a base for seeing Florence

Italy Perfect describes this apartment as "modest and affordable", and it worked just great for us. No surprises in our 4-day stay in this comfortable and functional place. The kitchenette built into a wardrobe was just great for making breakfast and warming meals. We enjoyed breakfast every morning on the inside facing terrace. Franco provided the best recommendations for restaurants from any of our sources, and called to make reservations one night for us one night after his pick for steak Florentine turned us down saying they were full. The location was central for us to walk to all of our selected sites. We would stay here again and hope we have that opportunity.

lovely apartment, great location

We really enjoyed our stay here. The rooms have high ceilings and are graciously decorated. The cupboard kitchen is surprisingly effective, and cooking is very possible if you don't want to eat the fantastic food everywhere. We did make our breakfasts every morning before setting forth to drink in the beauties of Florence. The bathroom works well, and there's a washer and a place to hang clothes to dry. The bed is quite comfortable. We walked as far as Piazzale Michelangelo and as close as Palazzo Davanzati--you can go all over Florence from here. Miki and Marco were delightful to work with, and made us very welcome.

Christmas in Florence, 2013

Over Christmas, 2013, we stayed in the Prisco apartment and our adult daughter stayed across the hall in the Strozzi apartment. It was an ideal situation. We were met by the charming Miki and Franco who helped us learn about the apartment and the area. For ten days we lived as the local people do, buying our groceries, preparing our Christmas dinner and enjoying take away and local restaurants when cooking seemed too onerous. The apartments were spacious and clean. The Prisco kitchen was well equipped. The wifi worked perfectly and the location was fabulous for visiting Florence.

Like staying with family

Our group of three academics had an ambitious goal- to see seven European cities in three weeks. Of all our apartment accommodations from London to Rome This apartment " Strozzi" in Florence was the best. We spent four days in the lap of luxury-Well appointed, spotlessly clean, safe and located steps from the Uffizi, river Arno and the Accademia! The owners were gracious, genuine and available. Their recommendation of "La Spada" restaurant a block away was superb. Miki and Franco are the epitome of hospitality. Lisa their booking agent is a consummate professional Making your Florentine vacation a once in a life time experience you'll want to revisit time and time again!!!!

We highly recommend this apartment, and are looking forward to staying there again

My wife and I recently enjoyed a memorable, two-week stay in the Strozzi apartment. The location is superb, with many shops and restaurants on the same street, and the building has the ambience of a stately palazzo. Guests should be aware of the limited cooking facilities, but the kitchenette is functional and more than adequate for our purposes. We had no complaints or issues with the apartment, and the security of the building gave us peace of mind. However, the most valuable assets of this apartment are the owners, Miki and Franco, who are two of the sweetest people we've ever met! They greeted us as if we were family, and went out of their way to make our stay as pleasant as possible. We highly recommend this apartment, and are looking forward to staying there again, or in one of the other two which Miki and Franco own on the same floor, when we return to Florence. Mille grazie, Miki & Franco, for being such wonderful hosts!
