Cozy Little Red Lodge in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula

This place is amazing! So cozy yet spacious enough to sleep 5-6. The property is located just 5 miles from the waterfront village of Curtis and just 1.9 Miles from one of the many boat launches on the South Manistique and Big Manistique lakes. There is a large yard perfect for cornhole or outdoor activities, etc. (Foot Traffic Only).
There is Ample parking on the property as well as a single car garage for parking your auto or your toys. Guests should avoid parking in front of the red Pole Barn as we occasionally stop in to get supplies.

Close to the waterfont community of Curtis where there is ample parking however during major Holidays such as 4th of July, etc. it can be quite busy in town.

What a perfect little cabin ! We loved both of our visits. If we head up to the UP and Gould City / Curtis area we will gladly rent the cabin again. Diana & Allen provided us with everything we needed. We really enjoyed the fire pit & grill !!

Such a cozy little cabin with lots of extras and personal attention from the hosts. We felt like we were staying with family! Central to so many different things to do and we enjoyed a campfire every night but one only due to the weather. Perfect for our family of 4.

Excellent wooded setting! Our family enjoyed using this cabin as a base while we took daily day trips around the UP. The complimentary firewood around the campfire was a nice treat one night. It was great having a full kitchen, as we were able to make breakfast. The bathroom was small but sufficient. The window A/C units were appreciated. We saw a few ants in the home which was not surprising given the setting. The home was well stocked with towels, soap, TP, kitchen utensils, etc.

This was a great cabin not far from Curtis. We weren't there to fish, hunt, hike, etc but we were pretty centrally located to all the best places to go. The accommodations were great. They have everything you need and it was comfortable. The only issue we had isn't really the owners fault. The TV is mainly streaming services. Much of it was free so there was plenty to watch. However, my husband is a huge sports fan and not very techy so he was unable to watch most games. WiFi at the cabin was pretty darn good. We would definitely rent again. This was a changed booking as we were unable to come in July with the smoke from Canada. They were very accommodating with that situation too. We are so glad we were able to find a new time to come so quickly.

So glad you enjoyed it! Sorry about your husband missing the Sports. Most people sign into their own subscriptions on the Smart TV. Hopefully next time I can have a sports subscription on the TV that will allow ppl to watch!

The cozy little red lodge was wonderful! It is a beautiful comfortable place to stay. Our family stayed for 5 days. Not only is the house super cute but the property is beautiful! Thank you to our hosts for having our logs ready for our first fire, that was very generous of them. There was a little fire wood stand right at the end of the driveway where you could buy bundles of wood. We really appreciated that as well, seeing we had a fire every night. The house was very cozy and well stocked! Newberry was a nice little town to visit, they had some little shops, a cute coffee shop that served breakfast as well. We also recommend Mac's Market if you need groceries. Oh and I can't forget Oswald's bear ranch in Newberry, that was a fun experience!! You just can't go wrong staying at The cozy little red lodge, clean, stocked, wifi is great and the host were very kind and quick to respond!

The Little Red Lodge was a wonderful place! We were able to enjoy the outdoor area as well as cozy up inside at times. The owners are very thoughtful and you can tell throughout all the details. We had an amazing stay and would highly recommend.

Amazing getaway

This cabin is perfect. Quiet, impeccably clean, comfortable beds and, great location. WiFi was fast!

Perfect location

It is a great property to stay it's very clean and has a fire pit and wood supply right at the house. Excellent yard and night sky viewing and convenient location to many local attractions.

The Little Red Lodge was perfect! Hosts communicated well, lodge was fully stocked with all amenities. It’s centrally located for all attractions we wanted to visit (Kitch-iti-kipi,Fayette, Whitefish Point, Tahquamenon Falls, Soo Locks and Munising. It was perfect for our Honeycation (Honeymoon/Vacation)….we couldn’t have asked for a better week!

Great hosts and excellent location

Diane and Allen were extremely helpful with everything. Any questions we had were answered very quickly. The property is in a great location and super easy to get to.

UP exploring

Great base camp for exploring the UP. It was very nice after a long day of driving and site seeing, to come home to a cozy and comfortable cabin in the woods.

We do our best to make all of our guests feel welcome! We personally clean and prepare the cabin for the guests to ensure that it is always immaculate. Making sure our guests have everything they need from a fully stocked kitchen to extra pillows and blankets is very important to us! Our goal is for our guest to enjoy the place as much as we do :)

Allen and I are Entertainers / Musicians and also Music Producers. We reside in Grayling Michigan where we have a recording studio and publishing company. Additionally, we sell retail musical equipment and gear. We are very hard workers and are often so busy that we forget to stop and take a break! That's why we purchased property in the UP and later purchased The Little Red Lodge - so that we have a place to unwind. We love to fish, barbeque, and enjoy bonfires so this is basically our dream property!

The Little Red Lodge is an awesome little cabin that relaxes you the minute you walk in the door! It's so quaint and cozy. In the Spring / Summer / Fall we enjoy the yard and bonfire area and often walk the trails behind the property. We love this place and thought it would be a good idea to share it with travelers when we aren't using it!
