Cute As A Bug Cottage On The Shores of Big Manistique Lake

Our 'Cozy Cottage' is the quintessential UP knotty pine cottage. Quaint and cozy and right on the east shore of Big Manistique Lake, It's the perfect place to enjoy all that Michigan's 4 seasons have to offer. Cozy Cottage is centrally located in the eastern UP so many of the favorite attractions are within an hours drive.

If you're just looking for a place to relax and enjoy the lake, Cozy Cottage has a lakefront deck with ample seating, an outdoor table for dining, and a gas BBQ. There is a fire pit just feet from the shoreline for spectacular sunset views, and there is a stone fireplace inside.

Cozy Cottage has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. The cottage has a well equipped kitchen that includes a coffee pot, toaster, crock pot, air fryer, griddle and Ninja blender. We have a Reverse Osmosis drinking water system so you don't need to buy bottled water. Full dinnerware is supplied. The spacious dining room seats 6. All bed linens and bath towels are provided as well as all paper products. You will need to bring your own beach towels.
We have the Highline Fiber Optics so you’ll have excellent TV viewing in the living room and both bedrooms, and great WIFI for your phones and computers.

We have a dock if you're bringing a boat and we are only 500 feet away from a public launch. Our lot is private to the road and there is space to park your trailers behind the garage. We have 3 kayaks available for guest use and we provide the lifejackets. There are 2 tubs of kiddie beach toys too!

If you're visiting in the winter, there is a lean to off the garage for your snow machines. Groomed trails are just a few miles away. Ice fishing is right outside your door and dog sledding is available near Newberry!

We love our Cozy Cottage and have vacationed here ourselves before we bought it. We hope you will love it too!

Our 4th stay at the Cozy Cottage and it truly is a gem!! This cabin has everything a family could think of and the sunsets are just breathtaking!

We enjoyed the cottage! Extremely clean and as described. Our son had a great time splashing in the lake and enjoyed the beach toys the host has onsite. Lake is quite shallow so great for the kids. Kitchen was well stocked and grill was a bonus. Would absolutely stay again!

We LOVED this cottage! So cute, well equipped and clean!! It was even better than the pictures. We especially enjoyed the kayaks, board games, and the phenomenal views from the living room and deck! Thank you for sharing your sweet cottage, we highly recommend!!

We had a great time at the cabin. It was clean, comfortable and well stocked. The only downside was that they lowered the water level at the dam prior to our arrival, and we couldn't use the dock. Of course, this was a fishing trip, so we were bummed, but found other things to do. The view is beautiful. The host was very responsive to any questions we had. Would we do it again, for sure, but would find out the water levels if you're planning on docking boat.

This was our first visit to the u.P and this place didn't disappoint. The view was breathtaking, perfect location for our daily excursions. Thank you for the many fans.As it was a warmer summer than normal, we were able to stay cool.

What a wonderful, hidden gem!! Our family was lucky enough to have found this property for a last minute, end of summer trip! The hosts were accommodating, responded quickly and gave great recommendations! The cottage was very clean, had great brands of toiletries, and a fully stocked kitchen with paper products provided! The neighbors were very friendly and helpful, but you wouldn’t even know they were there unless you were looking, it’s that peaceful and quiet!!If you’re looking to fish, be aware that the lake is very shallow (knee deep to end of dock), and bites were scarce. Even locals say it’s a hard lake to fish!All in all, our family had a wonderful, peaceful and relaxing time that was much needed! We will be back!

This property beat our expectation!! We have rented cottages/cabins many times and this was excellent. Pristine clean ,and cozy. Bonus for us was the “steps to the water”, and getting to the boat with ease . Well equipped kitchen and bathroom. The ambiance helped the feel of being up north! The host was so prompt with returning messages!.town is a short drive and has all the things you need for a restful stay. The only problem was having to leave!

This is our 3rd time staying at the cottage, and like always, we're already looking at our schedule for next summer to book again! This cottage feels like home away from home. The hosts are excellent and super responsive if you need anything, but trust me - you won't. The cottage is fantastic and everything you need is so thought out. They have games, and cozy blankets, fans, heaters....literally everything you need for a fantastic stay. Our favorite part is the sunset views and the lake of course. It's sandy and shallow enough for a long way out so it's perfect for families. I could spend all week just sitting in our beach chairs in the water, taking in the sun and the breeze. So happy to have found this place!

Perfect place for our UP trip. Easy access to some many UP highlights or a great place to just sit back and relax. The kayaks were a great addition too.

The cottage lived up to its name, truly a cozy cottage! Everything was very clean inside and out. The lake had good fishing, easy access just 3 lots down. Would definitely come again!
