The 1920's brick cottage has been beautifully renovated to include a gourmet kitchen, wood burning fireplace, screened front porch, table for 10+, and relaxing Jacuzzi tub. At Robbin's Nest, experience a truly unique lodging destination. Spend your days enveloped in a mix of fine taste and distinct southern country charm.
Also on property, is another house to accommodate large parties. Perfect place for reunions or larger gatherings. We also have 6 trailer hook-ups with water and electricity.

Quiet Peaceful Place to Stay

We spent the weekend in the Cottage on the property. Very clean, recently renovated, very nice place. Gated property so we felt very secure. There is access to the James river across the street which is part of their property and that was amazing! Communication with the owner was very easy. Highly reccomend this place if you want to get away!

Relaxing!

Our stay was absolutely wonderful! We enjoyed ourselves so much, we are thinking about going back next year. House was beautiful and comfortable. We really enjoyed spending time on the porch talking and having wine and cheese. River was so much fun. We took chairs and sat in the river for 5 hours. Loved greeting the horses in the morning with a cup of coffee in hand. Dawn was a fantastic and responsive host.

Unique Experience

The property description "secluded luxury" is 100% accurate. It is in the middle of farm country, so very secluded. The "museum" is a spacious brick house that is updated and luxurious. Some of the activities we enjoyed during our 2 night stay: 1. a nice walk to the river each day - we wanted exercise and Dawn told us the best path to take. 2. Saying hi to some of the horses who were out and about, included a very cute pony with it's mom. Also saw deer and chickens. 3. Dinner on the gas BBQ grill. 4. Making a bonfire 5. Relaxing in the screened-in front porch. Dawn was very sweet was very helpful in answering any and all questions we had. Look forward to returning!

All Alone

It was a lovely property. No wifi, no cell service, intermittent satellite. We were really able to disconnect. ā¤ļø Canā€™t remember the last time I saw so many stars. Great weekend to recharge.

Lovely Secluded Escape

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Museum! Check in was contactless and easy, which was very appreciated considering our need for social distancing. The Museum was clean, comfortable, and spacious. We enjoyed the covered screened in porch the most of all the spaces to relax and read despite the rainy weather while we were there. Dawn was very responsive via text. Highly reccomend for a change of scenery and a secluded escape!

Peaceful Countryside Weekend

My friend and I wanted a place to meet that was a convenient half way point. This was the perfect break from the city life and very restorative. We enjoyed porch chats, walking to the river, and just relaxing.

Really Getting Away!

Robbins Nest Farm is a treasure! It's a very private retreat with a range of features from the very nice Museum to RV camping to tent camping by the river. The property owner is a joy to work with. We highly recommend it--we felt super safe in the current COVID environment.

Weekend getaway

We stayed at Robbins Nest cottage for an extended weekend to disconnect for a few days. Beautiful house and kitchen. We found this to be a neat experience as this is a working farm. We enjoyed sitting on the screened porch and under the mulberry trees with morning coffee and evening drinks watching the sun set. We invited Dawn over one evening and enjoyed chit chatting. We did spend an entire day "in" the river relaxing which was fantastic and very private. Cell service was a bit sporadic which just enhanced our disconnecting. Dawn was extremely responsive to any of our questions and a joy to work.

"By the time I was thirty-five years old, I'd been all over the world. I did the resorts, the spas, the fancy dinners, and to be honest, I lost touch. I wanted an adventure, something real," espouses Dawn Lee, the owner of Robbins Nest Farm. Dawn is a wonderful Mother of three daughters and as they have grown the Farm has become her fourth child. Growing up in Charlottesville, she wanted to get back to the Central Virginia area.

The Museum is not only gorgeous by any standard, it has a warm, welcoming feeling that makes it a home to any visitor or guest. It offers a great place to bond with friends, or spend time alone. The Cabin at RNF is rustic a Montana feeling. It is very comfortable and inviting.
