Welcome to the Master Lodge at Palisades Park Country Club, nestled on the sandy shores of the Lake Michigan Coastline where the Brandywine River meets the lake. Established in 1905 as a premier destination for Chicago Cruise Lines, this iconic hotel has served Midwest travelers in style for over a century.



The Master Lodge has a rich history, having been acquired by the Master family in 1988 as a vacation home for their large and growing family. The Masters have lovingly preserved the historical charm of the property while incorporating modern upgrades to enhance your stay. Returning guests are always delighted to discover new features that add comfort and pleasure.



From the expansive beach deck, the grand dining porch, and the Great Room, you can enjoy spectacular views of one of the country’s most beautiful lakes. The lodge is part of an enchanting community of summer cottages filled with nature trails, tennis, basketball, and pickleball courts, a soccer field, and a clubhouse offering supervised children’s activities. Just steps away, you’ll find an old-fashioned Soda Bar serving cheeseburgers, ice cream, and other tasty treats.



If you're in the mood to explore, nearby South Haven to the north and St. Joseph to the south offer an array of attractions including great restaurants, antique shops, boutiques, museums, marinas, and more.

The Neighborhood:

Nestled within the enchanting Palisades Park community of summer cottages, each brimming with unique charm, the lodge offers a vibrant neighborhood filled with activities and amenities for all ages. Enjoy peaceful walks and wildlife spotting on the nature trails, or engage in friendly matches on the well-maintained tennis, basketball, and pickleball courts, as well as the soccer field. At the heart of the community, a welcoming clubhouse hosts supervised children’s activities, fostering camaraderie among families and friends. Just a short stroll away, an old-fashioned Soda Bar serves up classic cheeseburgers, creamy ice cream, and other tasty treats, providing a delightful, nostalgic dining experience.

Beach Access: Due to erosion, there is no shoreline to lay out in the sun at the Master Lodge

Fireplace: Fireplace is decorative only, and cannot be used

We're available in-person Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, to assist guests in planning their South Haven vacation and providing insider tips for an authentic local experience.



For our incoming guests:



Prior to your arrival you will receive all pertinent check-in information communicated via email and mobile SMS messaging, as well as a local destination guide with our personal recommendations on local eats and activities in the area.



We provide an after-hours emergency phone number to call in case an issue arises outside of our standard business hours. Additionally, we provide you with a mobile SMS number that you can text for non-emergency issues.
