Right between the best of both worlds, 3 miles to either Nisswa or Pequot Lakes, right off the Paul Bunyan Trail, makes this location ideal for outdoor enthusiasts, families, and couples. Old cabin feel with all new finishes inside & out. Enjoy sunrises in the lakeside porch sipping coffee and enjoy lakeside sunsets at the fire pit or outdoor recreation/bar room. Gas fireplace in the living to take the chill off the rainy nights or Fall getaways. This cabin boasts lakeside bedroom with a queen bed, additional bedroom with two XL Twin beds, and one pull-out Twin trundle. Spacious and fully equipped kitchen stocked with all the home cooking necessities. Large bathroom with lots of storage for guests to feel right at home. Wi-fi and desk area for work from cabin option. Small garage on property was converted into a game room/bar for additional space for guests to retreat on rainy days/nights. Cabin does include a washer & dryer.

Great cabin, great location if you love biking, kayaking, shopping and nice dinners out. We had a great stay with everything we needed, in a cozy updated cabin with a great fire pit overlooking the lake. Host was prompt with replies to our questions, easy checking in and out. Thanks!

This was our third summer staying at Eric and Laura's cabin and it's always a highlight of the summer for our family. It somehow keeps getting even better year after year! The pontoon rental option was a huge highlight and it gave us the chance to venture over to the cute sandy beach across the lake. As always, the property is super clean, cute, and well-stocked with everything needed to relax at the lake. You can tell they work hard to keep it that way. We'll be back again next summer!

Everyone in our family really enjoyed staying here. We wanted a quiet place where we could fish and swim. This was the perfect location. The extra space in the sun room and the extra building to play cards was great! This place was very clean with a well stocked kitchen. We would definitely stay here again.

The place has everything! All you need is food, drinks and toiletries. Eric was also kind enough to stop by and bring us some boat bumpers for our boat. There's plenty of wood for a fire and separate "man cave" with a bar and tv. It's close to a bike trail and a short drive to Pequot Lakes and Nisswa.

Best Cabin!

Our family of 5 enjoyed this cabin. Perfect location with easy access to the Paul Bunyan trail. The lake was so clear and nice to cruise around on with our boat. Eric is a great host and has thought of everything. The house is equipped with all you need to have a relaxing cabin getaway. Very clean and welcoming. The storage area was nice to put our bikes in and our kids loved the game room/bar attached to the storage area.

Gorgeous property and location

Enjoyed our 2nd visit to this beautiful spot. Great location and the cabin is fully stocked, clean and the grounds are well maintained. The hosts continue to make improvements. Enjoyed bonfires and card games in the game room which is a plus. This location is quiet and relaxing and a bike trail that is so close by. Great hosts! We hope to visit again.

Fantastic weekend with my Son!

My Son and I had a fantastic 4 day weekend at your beautiful cabin. Itā€™s a wonderful cabin set on a gorgeous lake, and you did a marvelous job remodeling the place to a modern cabin where everything works and itā€™s all new and beautiful! We especially enjoyed hanging out by the fire pit and having bon fires every night. You had plenty of wood available and the propane torch to start the fire worked great! Also, we enjoyed kayaking on your beautiful clear & clean lake! Thank you so much. Your cabin was well worth the price. We hope to come back next year.

Another great stay!

This was our second summer visiting this property and our kids are already asking to come back again next summer! Eric and Laura are great hosts and take such good care of their place - it's always really clean, easy to access, and offers such great amenities in a fantastic location. It has that great woodsy/lake feel, but still offers plenty of shops, restaurants, and activities nearby. We love it!

Great getaway for the Family

The Cabin was perfect for a quick getaway with the family. It was in a perfect location for easy access to hiking and town excursions. The Cabin itself was in great conditon and had newly renovated feel. The owners even left a welcome gift which was a nice touch. The firepit was in the perfect spot for family fun and the view was amazing. I think we may have come at the perfect time as the fall colors were beautiful. We were so happy we chose here to stay.

Another cozy family weekend in the books! It was just as charming as the first stay. The kids enjoyed the fishing and swimming. And we were able to catch some pretty amazing sunrises with our morning coffee. Thanks for sharing your place with us. It was wonderful!

A perfect location and cabin for a family getaway

A perfect landing pad for an active family with easy access to the Paul Bunyan Trail, dock fishing, swimming, paddling and more. Especially loved having the outbuilding to keep bikes and other toys secure and out of the way. Also key for anyone traveling with kids: a big shower, washer/dryer and well-appointed kitchen. Would absolutely recommend and hope to be back again soon!

Amazing house in the perfect location. Absolutely flawless.

This house is just perfect. Amazing use of space makes it feel really spacious despite having a relatively small footprint and being nestled in a small copse steps from the beautiful lake. 2 lovely bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen with everything you need, washer and dryer, 4 separate eating spaces, fabulous bar / games room and 2 kayaks and inflatables for lake fun. Exactly as described but photos and description do not do it justice. It is so peaceful, not overlooked and just remote enough. Only 5 minutes each way to nearest shops and restaurants and only 20 minutes from busier places with mini golf etc. Really enjoyed the sunrise over the lake and daily morning runs to Nisswa. Property is spotless and equipped to high standard throughout in steps to desk and dock with bench. Owners are very amenable and friendly and check in / check out was drama free. 10/10 and a real pleasure and privilege to stay in this wonderful property. Only negative is that it is 3950 miles from home, but I hope to be back one day.

Great Week At The Lake

We had a great time at the Larson's cabin. Everything was clean, modern and exactly as promised. The whole family had a nice, relaxing time enjoying the serene property, beautiful lake and easy access to both Nisswa and Pequot -- charming small towns with all the amenities you could ask for. What a gem!

We absolutely loved our stay at this adorable cabin. The owners have done an amazing job modernizing this property and it is totally adorable inside and out. The location is perfect - right on the water with the 'up north' feel but still super close to all the activities our kids love in the area (go karts, mini golf), restaurants, coffee shops, etc. Our 10 year olds had a blast jumping off the end of the dock and we were pleasantly surprised to find it relatively weed-free and a great depth for swimming. We brought our own kayaks and had a great time paddling around the calm lake too. Loved checking out MN Traders Co. for coffee and breakfast sandwiches - so good we went twice! If you're looking for a fantastic family or couples getaway, you can stop scrolling, this is it!

Pedal and Paddle

We loved how close we were to the PB bike trail and biked everyday with the kids. The girls loved how easy it was to bike to the playground (and ice cream). The kayaks were a great way to explore the lake. The owners pointed us to MN Traders which was a great stop for breakfast and coffee.

Excellent location and beautiful quiet property. Well maintained cabin. Someone has a talent for decorating and design. Everything was as they said it would be. Game room was an added bonus for card playing. Enjoyed the use of the Kayaks and fire pit with the smore supplies. Cooked a few meals here with the awesome kitchen. Great place to relax

This property was adorable and how cool that itā€™s located on a peninsula where you can see water on both sides. We brought our boat with, which made it even more fun. We took the kids tubing and fished everyday!! The dock is a nice spot to hang out and swim and snorkel which we also did a lot of. We brought our paddle boards with and they have kayaks for ppl to use too. We didnā€™t use them but it was a great option to have if you didnā€™t bring a boat. Plus we got to see a few loons up close!! They were so fun to watch. The cabin was the perfect size. We ate breakfast on the cute porch in the mornings. Played card games in the nice living area too. If you bring a boat with, launch it first at the boat dock which is close to the cabin. The drive way is steep and would be hard to drive a boat up it. We did drive our empty trailer up it to park. This cabin is very close to the cute downtown shops of Nissaw! So many cute boutique and trinket shops to see. All in all we had a great stay!

I have been fortunate to call the Nisswa area home for my entire life (with the exception of 3 years in the military). East Twin Lake has been one of my favorite lakes since I was a child. When the opportunity came up for me to purchase a small piece of the tranquility and great fishing I remember as a kid, I couldn't let it get away. My wife and I completely renovated the cabin, as that is my profession, but kept the small quaint cabin appeal.

The lake! East Twin is a great lake for fishing, boating, swimming and relaxing. The location of the cabin and the proximity to the Paul Bunyan Trail, cannot be beat!

This cabin sits on a peninsula. The west side of the property is on the bay side (also where the public access boat ramp is) and the east side overlooks the main part of East Twin. The main side has hard sandy bottom for swimming and dock ready for your boat.
