We had a group of 8 and absolutely loved staying at this property. The grounds are so lovely. We enjoyed watching a group of 10 elk graze and relax in the yard, and we also had fun playing hide and seek back there. While tucked away in the forest, it was still convenient to get to the beach, restaurants, the grocery store, and we were on Howland Hills drive in the Jedidiah Smith Redwood park within about 10 mins. The beds (2 king, 2 queen and 2 twin) were SO comfortable. We cooked breakfasts and one dinner in the kitchen and had everything we needed. There is a large tv downstairs, but we never used it. We were too busy exploring the area. The only ac is in the master suite, but with the windows open and the breeze blowing through, the house stayed very comfortable even in late July. The stairs going up to the upper level of the split level home are quite steep, so someone with limited mobility may have a challenge there, but our party had no issues. We had a very minor issue with the dishwasher but it was addressed immediately. The owners were responsive and very accommodating during our whole stay. Overall, it was a great trip and we’d all love to plan a trip at this property again.
