Modern spacious home one block from the beach

We are excited to share our home away from home with you! This is a 3 bedroom, 2.5 bathroom, spacious home. The first floor provides lots of open space with a fully equipped kitchen, dining room and living room as well as a cozy breakfast nook 1/2 bathroom and full laundry room. Our house has cable, Wi-Fi and a large SmartTV for you to access all of your own media. On the second floor youā€™ll find the master bedroom with a queen bed and bathroom. Additionally upstairs you have two guest rooms. Thereā€™s a queen bed in the first guest bedroom, two twins in the second guest bedroom, and a hallway bathroom to be shared. There is a TV in each bedroom. In the upstairs hallway closet you will find an assortment of puzzles and games for quiet afternoons along with extra towels/linens. Thereā€™s a large deck on the back of the house to enjoy grilling out and two front covered porches with rocking chairs to sip your coffee (or cocktail) while enjoying views of the water.

Our home is ideally located only one block from the beach and only a couple of mins from restaurants, local shops, bakeries, brewery/vineyards and marinas.

Cape Charles is perfect for families with young children, as the water is calm and shallow, but equally fun for anyone looking for a beach getaway. Sunsets on the bay are a must see!

Cape Charles is poised for day trips to Chincoteague, Virginia Beach, Williamsburg and Busch Gardens.

All linens are provided and a pack n play is available if needed.

Great location!

We really enjoyed our stay! Cape Charles is lovely, and this houseā€™s location so close to the beach was perfect. The house itself was in good condition, a little wear and tear but nothing uncommon for a beach rental. Everything was clean when we arrived, the host answered any questions we had promptly.

Cape Charles near the beach

The house was perfect for our family and only a block from the beach. It is nicely decorated and well suited for rest and relaxation. We loved the porches and back deck, the beds and furniture were comfortable and everything was clean and in good working order. Such a great little beach town and a super rental!

My family and I heard wonderful things about Cape Charles so we decided to book a stay. Any questions we had about the house, the owner was quick to reply before and during our stay. The check in/out process was very simple. The house and decor were very charming. The house was clean. I felt like we had all the essential items we needed for our stay. There are plenty of clothing hangers in the closet, extra linens, board games in the closet. Our daughter was so excited to pick which room she wanted. There is even a cool lamp in the bedroom that doubles as a night light which was great for a child! We genuinely felt at home during our stay and would absolutely book again. The house is a very quick walk to the beach. We enjoyed morning and evening walks on the beach, being able to leave our canopy and beach stuff to walk back to the house for lunch or any forgotten items was nice.

Great location butā€¦

Had difficulty exiting the property through the front door. The storm door would not always unlock and didnā€™t even open the last 2 days so we were forced to use back door at all times. The property was not properly cleaned. There was grape jelly on the dining room carpet and leather chair in the living room which attracted ants. The freezer was disgusting but the fridge was clean. Lots of stains on the carpet and walls need a new coat of paint. That being said, the layout of the house was very comfortable and the location was excellent.

Updates & Cleaning needed

My family and I rent homes through VRBO many times throughout the year, and I rarely leave reviews. Typically, my experience is consistent with the previous reviews and thereā€™s no need to restate whatā€™s already been said. We rent homes based on (1) location and (2) prior reviews, so I feel the need to provide additional info about this property. 1. We hadnā€™t been to Cape Charles before, but were dying to take our kids to the beach this year. We have 2 toddlers and were hoping to avoid crowds, rough waters, traffic, etc. I would say Cape Charles was perfect for toddlers. Thereā€™s not too much going on, and the beach was perfect. The water was calm and shallow (even during high tide) and not too busy. There are few restaurants in town, but kid friendly and easy. Would definitely come for at least a day for little kids. The location of this property was 2 minutes from the beach. 2. When we arrived, my one year old dropped her pacifier under the couch and I was disgusted when I retrieved it. Under the couch were old water bottles, a terrible amount of dust and dirt - it set the tone for our perspective of the property; it needs a serious deep clean and upgrades throughout. Most of the rooms had spider webs and/or chipped paint. The bathrooms were equipped with a brown (you can imagine) disgusting toilet brush. The shower bar and curtain rings in guest bath were completely rusted. The throw pillows were old, stained and tattered. The towels and wash clothes were quite discolored. A set of blinds in the kitchen were literally held together with a rubber band. We stripped the beds we slept in and were appalled at the pillows - they were yellow and stained - some even with blood on them. We wouldnā€™t be willing to go back to this particular property unless there was maintenance, updates and deep cleaning throughout.

Relaxing Vacation Home

Great house with great location to the beach and town area. The house was clean and kitchen had all that we needed for cooking. We canā€™t wait to come back. Justin was quick to respond and helped with all we needed.
