A spacious and picturesque home that is tucked away on twenty beautiful wooded acres just outside of Omaha. This private sanctuary is a very unique masterpiece. It is the only rental in the area that offers natural privacy, a small creek for great fishing, campfires and more! You can expect to catch bass, crappie and blue gill! You can also have a campfire while you fish or simply enjoy the quiet woods.

After a hot tub soak you can enjoy a cozy fire in the wood stove on the spacious deck. Just sit back and enjoy the fire and great star gazing! We provide your first bundle of firewood as well! You will feel like you are a million miles away and yet your only 20 minutes to Omaha.

This extremely clean, one-of-a-kind home is fully furnished with 5 bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms. (Sleeps 9) The kitchen has a double oven and all the cookware and utensils that you will need to feed your large group. There are also 2 refrigerators located in your home away from home that help to accommodate groups, family reunions and small gatherings.

An awesome location for small family reunions, family gatherings, team building weekends, weekend retreats, church retreats, Holiday gatherings or a simple romantic getaway. The expansive deck houses the hot tub, gas grill with great countryside views from every angle. We provide plenty of comfy chairs and tables for outside picnic as well.

The inside of the home features modern vaulted ceilings with plenty of windows throughout. There is satellite TV, free wireless internet with many more amenities offered. This property is perfect for people who love the outdoors and is a neat sanctuary for wildlife enthusiasts, nature lovers and people who enjoy the quiet of the countryside. Great for wildlife photography and bird watching as well! Turkey, Deer, Blue Birds, Bald Eagles, Owls and more!

This property is authentic America at its best and is right in the middle of the Great Midwest! You will love this ultimate get-away an incredible retreat to rejuvenate and refresh! Don't forget that Omaha is also the home of the College World Series, Annual Berkshire shareholders meeting and one of the best Zoo's in the world the Henry Doorly. You will create memories of a lifetime when you stay here. Please note this is not a noisy party house therefore all rules must be honored.

Beautiful and Spacious Acreage

The property was wonderful and we had no issues with appliances or cleanliness. Kitchen amenities were plentiful! There was an abundance of flies but that kind of thing is expected of this kind of property. A few bug traps would be appreciated. The wooden chairs at the indoor tables were very uncomfortable, we like board games and required frequent breaks.

Family vacation

The property was a great place to cook together, play games, and relax. It was close enough to Omaha that we were able to enjoy the outstanding zoo, play pickleball, take the kids to a movie and go to a trampoline park.

This house had everything we needed to celebrate my upcoming wedding! Comfy beds, soft bedding and towels, great living room set up and easy to use TV, and the hot tub / fire ring areas were so nice! Kitchen stocked well, could use more cutting boards/sharper knives. Otherwise had everything we needed! I only marked cleanliness down 1 star due to the dead bugs and mouse poop seen in the basement. Not a lot but definitely present. Lastly I want to commend this host, she is extremely responsive! After arriving we inspected all areas of the house, we found that the chairs down by the creek had gotten blown in and were completely submerged. The host quickly resolved this issue by bringing new chairs within 20min! Highly recommend this house.

Girls trip

Had a great visit for our annual girls trip (ages 35 to 79). The house was great but not ideal for persons with mobility issues; there are little steps, raised floors about 1 to 2 inches in common areas; while that was noted it was still a great house for our trip. We ran out of toilet paper (only 2 and 1/2 roll total when we arrived) and there was issues with the VRBO site which sent our message 24 hours after we sent it and after we already went and bought our own. Diana responded quickly when she did receive the message and was so kind. We enjoyed the area, the nature and memories made! Thanks for a great trip!

Great weekend

We were celebrating my husband’s 60th birthday. Our adult children and two grandsons stayed with us. The house was perfect. Loved the yard space as we love yard games. The hot tub and deck were amazing! We are from Omaha do it was a staycation for us but just what I was looking for!

Secluded, perfect place to stay to regroup

The property was amazing and even better than the photos. My kids all caught fish at the stream and we made s’mores more than once on the deck . Rooms were perfect for our group of six and the master bedroom was SO quiet! The master bathroom was incredible and all communication with hosts was quick and friendly. The town of Fort Calhoun had a nice gas station and we were 25 minutes from downtown Omaha. Perfect location! So pleased and we will be back!!

Great place!

Our family group of 13 (4 different families, ages 1-62) really enjoyed our time here. We had plenty of space for individual families and space to gather. Kids and adults enjoyed fishing at the creek, playing in the yard, gathering on the deck, not to mention the space inside the house to eat and visit. The views are beautiful - we even took some family pictures while all together! The kitchen had pretty much all the utensils and cookware you would need. There was a bookshelf full of games for our use, as well as a smart TV that we could log in to our Netflix and Disney+ accounts (really helpful with the little kids!) The only thing we ran into was some slow communication. We sent a few questions about the property through the VRBO app when we got there and didn't receive a response. After a day, we texted the host's phone and she replied then. Location wise - about 20 minutes away from Omaha where we went to the zoo, waterpark, and airspace museum. And 10 minutes away the other direction in Blair was Wal-Mart! It was the perfect spot. We made many memories and we would definitely recommend! :)

Family Reunion

This property was amazing! The deck is what we utilized the most during our visit. Plenty of room to host the meals for our large group, large yard for the kids to play. Kitchen was well stocked.

Great Get-Away

This rental is a beautiful property nestled in the countryside outside of Omaha. We booked this as a get-together for our family of 14. The house has five bedrooms, three bathrooms, and two walk-through rooms with 2-3 twin beds in them. The living area was very nice and had ample room for all of us to be together....although we spent most of our time on the spacious deck, or fishing in the pond on the property. All in all, the rental was a perfect place for our family to be together. It was enjoyed by both adults and children. The pasture with horses in it was a great addition to an already beautiful setting. The house was spacious with plenty of clean beds and bathrooms. The kitchen had most everything we needed for preparing our meals...as far as tableware, utensils, pans, etc, We did have to purchase a few household items (paper towels and toilet paper) that were to be provided by the hosts, but this was not a big deal. We had a question come up one evening, so I messaged the host, and she was at the property within 5-10 minutes to assist us. Both hosts, Diana and Cathy, were easy to work with and would reply quickly with any questions we had prior to arriving at the rental. Overall, we had a great experience.

Weekend Stay

The house was as advertised, in good repair and well stocked with the basics. Close enough to access in town for groceries and other supplies but far enough removed that you still feel secluded from all of it. Hosts were helpful and quick to reply to my many inquiries! We really enjoyed the stay. Thank you!

Family Reunion

My family hadn’t all been together in one spot in YEARS. This secluded Omaha getaway was just what we needed to reconnect for a few days. We had plenty of family dinners and game nights together as the space provided ample room for everyone to be included and nobody was on top of one another. Also, baby slept soundly in a pack-n-play in the master. It was far enough away from all the action to be almost sound proof! LOVED that! It was truly a great time! And we are very thankful for the time spent here!!

Family get together

We gathered here for a family Christmas. It worked out perfectly. Lots of bedrooms and plenty of space. The kitchen had lots of cooking items and we enjoyed having two separate big tables. Games could be played and both places but we didn't feel separated. Great place for a gathering and we would go back!

If you want to have 100 rules…stay here! There are posted notes everywhere and owners show up!

Arranged an early arrival with Diana but when Cathy got there she had no idea…she yelled at my son for 10 minutes. They showed up on property while we were taking naps and there are so many notes everywhere telling you what not to do or your lose your deposit. Absolutely would never pay that much a night to not have the place to ourselves or to have all these rules all over…don’t touch the thermostat, bag all garbage or you’ll lose your deposit and the list goes on…beautiful place but didn’t pay to have the owners yell at us because they didn’t communicate with each other or to show up unannounced during our stay. The number of notes “Not to do this or that” were ridiculous really

The property is in very convenient location with easy access to Omaha. When you stay in your home away from home you feel like you are miles away secluded in an awesome quiet, private, setting. You couldnt ask for a better place that feels like you in the have your own private home on 20 acres and only minutes from Omaha. Omaha is the home of the College World Series, the world famous Henry Doorley Zoo and much more! You can do your shopping at Walmart which is only 15 minutes from the rental. we are also 15 minutes toWestroads mall, Target and Walmart. 10-15 minutes to dining locations. Just 25-30 minutes to the Zoo and to the Century Link Center. Our place is located 30-40 minutes from the Eppley Airport. We are just 15 minutes away from Lake Cunningham which has fishing, boating and walking trails . Only 30 minutes to popular downtown and the black stone district.

20 plus scenic acres of rolling hills and woods to surround this beautiful home. The yard is giant and great for family games and great area for kids to play. Enjoy the kayaks and fishing on the property. There is nothing like this property in the area. The home is very spacious and has plenty of room for 14 people. Wonderful fishing with a water side fire ring for amazing camp fires.. You will feel a million miles away yet you are only 15 minutes from the Omaha city limits!
