Award Winning NYC Architect Designed Lakefront Cabin

This memorable place is anything but ordinary. Originally built in the 1930s as a fishing cabin, "The Lure" was completely renovated in 2021 to be your ultimate couples getaway. Do it all or do nothing at all on your private water-front deck. Relax by the fire, sit on the deck and watch the sun reflect off of the extremely quiet and serene glacial "round pond", or paddle around on the house canoe. With state parks, great food, and hiking abound let us "Lure" you in.

The cabin was lovely. It was maybe 550 ft.². I think it said but it had a nice feel the only thing that's small Is that if you're 6 foot tall or taller you're not gonna be able to stand up in the bedroom loft because of the Ceiling slant but everything else was perfect and clean. The hot tub was nice. The view was very good and it's close to restaurants and pubs and I would definitely stay here again

Perfect for two

My husband and I spent a long weekend at this cottage on the lake. It was beautiful and we really enjoyed the hiking in the area as well as the nice hot tub soak upon our return.

This is a beautiful property to relax, enjoy the nature and be close to nearby adventures. We were within 25 minutes of all locations. The house was well appointed, clean, cozy and we had all we needed for a wonderful vacation. Owners were very kind and answered our questions quickly and provided local spots to visit and dine. Great experience!

I stayed at this wonderful house for 3 weeks to see family and escape the FL heat. Everything was just perfect. Can’t recommend this property enough!! I loved having coffee on the back deck daily, taking long walks around Lake Harmony, fire’s in the evening and watching all the wildlife. I did not want to leave!!

A Wonderful and Peaceful Getaway

Lovely cabin in a great location and very well maintained. You can you as much or as little as you like and have a great time. The Hosts are fantastic people and very accommodating. Very highly rated!

Quiet weekend

Wonderful relaxing weekend. Beautiful views of the lake from the deck, hot tub and fire pit. Cabin was we’ll appointed and very clean. There is a small road to walk your dog. The other road is busier but there is a decent unpaved shoulder.

Wintry getaway

My wife and I stayed here for a long weekend getaway to celebrate a milestone birthday. It was very peaceful and serene. Couldn’t get enough of the view. The bungalow was perfectly designed and owners go above and beyond to provide excellent amenities like linens, towels, shampoo/conditioner, kitchen items etc. even a dyson hair dryer that my wife loved. This made it easy to get away and maximize our time at the cottage bc we could instantly begin relaxing when we walked in. We enjoyed a couple restaurants in the nearby area. The hot tub was just amazing set right by the lake! It was overall a great vacation!

This cabin was perfect for a couple looking to relax and kick back. The property was clean and cozy. Furniture was new and comfortable. Towels, blankets, sheets and household items were available and useable. Appliances are new. It rained for a lot of the time we stayed but we relaxed and lit a fire and watched movies. Lots of great local dining nearby and plenty of hiking options. Everything is a short drive away but you feel remote where the cabin is located. James was reachable for questions. The pond view from the property is gorgeous. Very serene and private to sit on the deck or the bottom landing near the pond and just connect with your surroundings. We saw some wildlife around the yard and a bear when we visited Hickory Springs Park. If bringing a pet there are close options to allow them to stretch their paws within a short drive. Such a wonderful property we will definitely re-book.

Look no further for a Couples Retreat

Let me just say, I would love to have a house like this one. The view of the pond every morning was spectacular. The cabin is cozy and comfortable. We did some cooking in the kitchen which was enough space for two people. The hot tub was amazing, even with snow on the ground. James was extremely communicative and helpful throughout our stay. We did go to the Tavern down the street and the food and atmosphere there was also excellent. I would absolutely recommend this place for a couples getaway and we look forward to booking again!

Perfect Holiday Getaway!

My partner and I spent 4 days, 3 nights over Thanksgiving at "The Lure" on Round Pond. The property was exactly as described and the hosts had gone above and beyond to ensure that our every need was met. We could not have asked for anything to improve our stay. The cottage was perfectly clean, well equipped, and stocked with all necessary essentials (and more). I am not sure what we enjoyed more: watching sunset over the lake from the outdoor hot tub or watching sunrise creep over the glorious pond and its surrounds from the comfort of the indoor fireplace and comfy sofa. We enjoyed the host's much appreciated recommendations for local eateries very much, and ambled our way around some local hiking trails. It really was a perfect couple's getaway in an ideal setting. If only all hosts paid as much attention to detail as James and Jillian do. We will definitely be back.

Perfect couples getaway!

This house is perfect for a couple looking for a quiet, private getaway! Very clean with everything you need, the owners are very responsive, and the view is beautiful, especially in the fall! Would definitely stay here again!
