Welcome to Hideaway on the River! We are proud to be able to share our beautiful home with you. Our home is a spacious open concept home which boasts breathtaking views overlooking the Ohio River located in beautiful Prospect, KY. Experience Kentucky in the beautiful of all its four seasons. The home boasts a private dock, covered decks, Coffee Bar, wet bar, pool table, Wifi6 500+Mbps high speed internet (including up to the dock for those who work remotely but want to enjoy life on the river), fire pit, 4K TVs throughout!

Wake up to the magnificent views, the sounds and the breeze while sipping your coffee and enjoying the views of the Ohio river.

Bring your kayaks, paddle boards, water gear.

Relax while taking in the best sunset view with two decks and a private dock. Sit with family and friends around the fire pit making S'mores, enjoying good conversation and creating memories.

Channel your inner Pirate!! Children (and adults) will love the Pirate Ship bed located on the second floor as well as the tabletop arcade! Escape to the loft overlooking the pool table.

Explore Prospect and nearby Louisville, KY: Hiking, Kayaking, nature and the Bourbon Trail.

Enjoy all that Life on the River and Bourbon Country has to offer!!

Entertainment for the whole family! Wet bar and pool table located on the second floor.

Upstairs bathroom with tub and separate rain shower with jets for the ultimate spa retreat.

Kitchen fully equipped for families with toddler plates and cups as well as full line of glass barware available for the adults. Keurig machine, Drip coffee machine provided.

Highchair, baby gate (for the second-floor stairs) and pack and play available.

Our family had a wonderful time at Hideaway on the River! The home is nice and comfortable but the double-decker porch really stole the show. Hosts were responsive and helpful before and during our stay. Would definitely visit again!

Louisville Stay

We stayed here for a trip after our daughter’s graduation from high school. The pool table was a big hit and the loft TV room was comfy. We stayed about a month after flooding I. The area, taking that into account, the property was in great shape, still some work to be done to dock, but useable. We took a hammock stand and were able to relax on the dock and enjoy the outside. The fire pit was great. The neighbor was still doing a lot of repairs but it was not a real problem. Just could not use the shared driveway.

Family Getaway

We had a great time at Hideaway on the River. Starting our day sipping coffee and taking in the beautiful view of the river from the patio was perfect. The house is large which gave us plenty of room to spread out. The beds were comfortable, so we had no problem sleeping after our site-seeing activities each day.

We love the Hideaway

This was our second trip to Prospect, KY. The Hideaway is a fantastic place to reconnect with our family. The river access was great. The dogs loved playing in the water. The improvements to house since our last stay were awesome. We look forward to coming back again.

Christmas present.

Took our Daughter, grand and great grandchildren for a Holiday getaway. The home was perfect for meals, card and board games. Enjoyed the family and beautiful view of the Ohio River. Owners were fabulous.

Family Stay for Daughter's Wedding.

Great View, good memories. Home is very roomy and clean. Sunrise and sunsets with good view of the Ohio River. Roomy Kitchen, we did not need to go to a restaurant. Narrow and winding roads leading to the house. I would suggest arriving in daylight. I highly recommend.

Great relaxing time with family

Great location out of the way of the hustle and bustle of the city. Felt miles away but super close. Had a quick get together with daughters and grandkids. Grandson caught his first fish Off the dock. Owners were great about life jackets so we did not have to travel with them on the plane. Plenty of room to spread out with and the kids loved watching the barges still by the river. Home and beds were comfy. Would stay again.

Excellent property!

Great property off the beaten path, and an ideal place to simply relax along the river; or use as your homebase for happenings in Louisville (we came for the PGA Championship). The kitchen is well appointed (settings for many, Keurig and Drip -coffee, crock pots, toaster oven, etc.) and there are many places for your group to sleep. Multiple activites within the property (pool table, tabletop video games, board games, etc.). A lot is packed into the property, including multiple areas along the patio and balcony for relaxing along the river. Nearby restaurants, grocery, and golf courses too! The hosts were very response to inquiries and we had a great time!!

View was the best part

The best part of this rental was the peacefulness of being right on the Ohio River. The house itself isn’t as dialed-in as we like. The kitchen wasn’t equipped for cooking meals, needs pots and pans, etc,..although there were plenty of dishes to serve food on. It was very uncomfortable for 4 of us to sit and watch TV. The pool table on the 2nd level should be on the main floor and the family TV viewing area should be on the 2nd level. Beds were very comfortable, bathrooms were nice, and the neighborhood was quiet. It’s country living close to the city!

Location is about 30 min from Louisville. House is on Ohio river. There is a Kroger 5 minutes away and plenty of restaurants nearby. We had high hopes for this vacation - unfortunately the town was hit with a tornado the night before we arrived. This caused some issues. We had 2 issues where hot water was not working. In another night, heat was not working upstairs. Owners were super responsive, but it was inconvenient as we had to wait for repair men as opposed to enjoying our vacation. Setup of house is odd - upstairs has pool table, tv, mini bar and loft. This is where we spent a lot of our time, but there isn’t anywhere for guests to sit. No couches (they are downstairs, along with kitchen and sitting area). There’s a pirate bed a couple people could sit on but it’s weird - especially if someone is actually using that as their bed. Some simple things missing from kitchen - pizza cutter, ample supply of dishwasher tabs, garbage bags. Reached out to owner as we ran out of garbage bags and he had some delivered - which was nice.

Our kids love pretending to be pirates while we enjoy watching the majestic barges drift by. Adults can unwind with a game of pool, enjoy the wet bar, or catch a movie on one of the 4K TVs throughout the home.

Garage is not included in rental.
No parties, smoking, or drugs. Unregistered guests are not allowed.
Pets welcome (with prior disclosure and adherence to pet rules).
Rental agreement required for booking.
Outdoor cameras for security (not in living spaces, no audio recording). Outdoor cameras on site for security purposes - 1st camera facing the dock, 2nd camera facing the side driveway, 3rd camera facing down to the driveway in front of the garage, 4th camera looking down at side stairs. None of the cameras capture any living space. Cameras do not record audio.
Noise monitoring device We want you to enjoy a relaxing stay, so we've equipped the property with a noise monitoring device which notifies the host if it gets too loud (it does not record sound) to keep things peaceful for both you and our neighbors.
