Forest Suite is located just a few minutes south from the village of Mendocino on 5 acres of beautiful redwoods. This 550 sq. ft. apartment plus 200sq ft deck, is upstairs from my 2,000 sq. ft artist’s studio, which is not in use when guests are staying. Built entirely with redwood, recycled fir and barn wood with cement counters and shower this romantic getaway is a very special spot.

The south wall is all windows facing the deck with deck chairs and a table with two chairs for dining overlooking the surrounding towering redwiids. It’s very peaceful and sunny and is frequented by honeymooners, artists, writers and those seeking total privacy. A few books and screenplays have been written here!

There is an eclectic book and DVD library to enjoy, internet, Direct TV and some boardgames. For your comfort there is a cozy gas fireplace, a ceiling fan, a standing fan and removable window screens in the hall closet. The kitchen is fully stocked and there are also yoga mats and weights for your use.

Take a walk through the forest; you will see a TRAIL sign by the driveway which will take you through the property and out onto Gordon Lane for a longer walk. There is a bench along the trail and also a deck in the trees for yoga or meditation, or just relax at the Suite and enjoy the tranquility.
