Beach Access #1 – Sleeps 14, Heated Private Pool, Perfect Location!

Just 60 steps from the sand at Beach Access #1, 1401 Gulf is a spacious 4-bedroom, 3.5-bath beach house sleeping 14 guests and is perfectly placed—close to bars, restaurants, and the beach, yet tucked away on a quiet street near the causeway to avoid traffic. Parking for four vehicles makes arrival a breeze.

Sip your morning coffee on the front balcony with ocean breezes and nightly fireworks, or fire up the gas grill on the back balcony for a sunset cookout. Take a refreshing dip in your heated private pool, surrounded by a shaded backyard and grassy area for outdoor games. After the beach, rinse off in the outdoor shower—perfect for sandy feet and paws.

Inside, the large open layout features a fully stocked kitchen with pots, pans, and small appliances like an air fryer, Keurig coffee maker, and more, plus a huge pantry for all your groceries. We've also stocked the home with board games, books, and family-friendly extras like a baby/dog gate, stroller, highchair, and bouncy seat.

We stayed here with a group of friends and children of various ages, and it was an extremely comfortable stay. The kids had a wonderful time, and the close proximity to the beach was the perfect bonus. The property was clean, the kitchen was well stocked, and everything matched the description on the website.

Great experience, definitely recommend!

Great experience! Fit 8 people, 2 dogs comfortably. Great distance from beach and lots of fun memories were created by the pool! Definitely recommend to friends and family for a vacation accommodation!

Plenty of towels and beds and space. 1out of 2 fridges worked. 1 K cup coffee machine didn’t work. Air fryer didn’t work. Had to figure out the dryer needed to be pulled out from the wall to allow the hot air out the crimped vent hose and dry our clothes properly. Two toilets flushed/drained slow. We still had a good time.

Birthday on SPI!

Great house! Beach access practically right across the street! Easy to get to attractions like Sea Turtle Inc and the South Padre Nature Center as well as Gravity park. Would definitely rent again.

Beautiful home near the beach!

What a beautiful place! My family & friends enjoyed the stay just as much as I did. Near the beach, plenty of things to do that are nearby, and a great place for children! Will definitely book again.

Poor first impression but got better

We stayed for 8 days. We arrived to find the yard not having been mowed/trimmed for several days. No lawn care during our entire stay and it was really shaggy when we left. The SPI rental yard next door was even worse. Inside, the oven door was sprung and we had to use a chair to prop against the door to make it seal. Because it would not seal, the oven light was on constantly and highlighted the dirty oven glass. The master bath shower had black mold in areas of the grout. The washing machine agitator was broken when we arrived. On the positive side SPI rentals was very responsive to our reporting of the oven and washing machine issues. The washing machine was immediately repaired and parts were ordered for the oven. Also, a bathroom door was accidentally locked with no one in it and SPI rentals had a tech there within 20 minutes to unlock it for us. Every SPI rentals technician that we encountered was prompt, courteous and professional. This property condition was good overall and met our expectations with the exceptions of the issues mentioned above. We will definitely use SPI rentals again for future SPI trips.

Amazing vacation home

We plan to rent with SPI again they’re were very professional from the start constantly communicating up until our trip. It was a very easy process to get the keys and the house was better than the pictures! It was big, cozy and comfortable, can’t wait for our next trip!

Kitchen needs help

We were very glad there was a pool because jellyfish in ocean and bay, and one day sharks!! The house was a nice size with 4 big bedrooms, 2 of the downstairs bedrooms had doors to the backyard, the kitchen a small spiral staircase, so if you have children or dogs must go through someone's bedroom to get in and out of yard. Very nice towels and bathrooms and other supplies, lots of games, plenty of room for the 9 of us. The kitchen needs a new stove, oven door doesn't shut all the way and pans to not sit flat on top. Went to use the fried and there was no cord, no cereal bowls, and the grill was rusty and need some parts replaced.

Also, the listing showed it to have one bedroom with twin beds but it had a king bed instead. So in reality there were three bedrooms with king beds plus the bunk room. Grown siblings don't want to sleep in the same bed. Fortunately I took two air beds with us so we made it work. The listing should be updated with the correct sleeping arrangements.

Comfortable and easy

This was a perfectly sized house for our larger group with plenty roomfor sleeping. Eating and lounging. Short walk to the beach and stores. Easy rental, check in and check out.

Good times

The house is in a great location. There was plenty of room for 6 adults and 4 kids. We enjoyed the balcony and easy access to the beach. It was clean and modern. Booking and check in/out was easy and the mgmt company was easy to deal with. Loved the beach gear credit. Would stay again!

Beautiful and clean home

My family and I with some friends stayed at this house for the Spring break weekend. The home was big enough to fit all eleven of us! The house was very beautiful in person and clean. We arrived late to the staff told us to go straight to the house instead of checking in at the office. That was very thoughtful of them since we had kids with us. They very quick to respond to our request . The house had everything we need. Great location!

First time to South Padre

This was my first time to South Padre. I couldn't ask for a better place to stay while I was there. Great house with lots of space and amenities. Close walk to the beach or stores and anything you wanted to explore. I highly recommend this rental for anyone looking for a place.

Best Rental On The Island

Our family has been visiting South Padre Island for over 10 years. This house is by far the best we've ever stayed at. This is not your typical vacation rental. Lots of space. You're not tripping over one another. Large bedrooms set up to relax when needed. The kitchen is fully stocked and the furniture is upgraded from what you normally see. Light, bright, relaxing and so enjoyable. The location can't get any better. Walking distance to almost everything. The pool is perfect size under a couple large palms trees. Thank you, everybody. Can't wait for next time.
